All the links are mucked up from the last thread so I've copied and pasted an old list. Hope they are right and please ask if you want a direct link.

Hi everyone. I lost you all!

Is anyone doing the shopping job in clickworker?

It's €85 pay but you have to buy two things for £35 each (at least). Was just wondering if it's 85 on top of that or are you basically Gona make 15euro?

WonderTweek · 11/09/2020 19:33

@Horehound I have been burnt by them before so I'm guessing 15€? Check the small print if there is any!

Horehound · 11/09/2020 20:18

Oh really? In what way.
Yes I'm pretty certain it's not on top. Just need to decide whether I can be arsed.
Although I'm thinking I could return the orders and that way make 85 euro?!

TheyThoughtItWasAllOver · 12/09/2020 07:32

I have been invited into the Echo project with Appen. I need to do read guidelines and do a qualification test first, which I haven't looked at yet. Anyone on this project and getting on ok with it?

SidVisk · 12/09/2020 08:47

I've been waiting for ages for payments from Neev0

Carrotgirl87 · 12/09/2020 09:48

I'm still waiting for loads of payouts on neevo too, iv generally in the past had nothing for ages and then bosh, 6,7,8 payments overnight, so as long as you're not relying on the money it does sometimes come good at the end lol

Horehound · 12/09/2020 09:55

I got a load of payouts from them last week.

I have been invited to the text preference audio job that we all failed. I guess they realised no one passed it and had to do something 😂 you have to complete all four job sections to be paid. I see it's 0.04cent per job not sure if it's worth it

TheSeedsOfADream · 12/09/2020 09:58

@Winterjoy
Absolutely apply to Appen. There are long term ones, as you can see from our excitement when we get one, and shorter "task" ones where some days there'll be work and some not.
I'm on a long term one - since December, so prob another 2 months- used to get about £150 a month but was moved into their "quicker" phone version so it's now about £50- but it takes less than 10 minutes a day
A couple of "task" ones, language based. I'm working one in my adopted country language which involves simply checking if phrases make sense.
Also just been added to two similar ones on the Appen China platform.

Make sure you join up on connect Appen and not global Appen. Then apply for everything you can. I currently have 27 applications ongoing. I won't get any of them possibly, and nothing happens if you don't take them up. Also sometimes, you are offered one and then it doesn't happen. I was added to one called Sal* and then 6 months later received a mail saying "it's not happening so we'll remove you"

MrsWombat · 12/09/2020 10:04

I've just passed Echo. Grin I was not hopeful because I failed a similar test with the same client a couple of weeks ago. It's going to take a couple of weeks to get set up so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly as my track record for passing projects that get going is not good at the moment.

It's not looking good from the Chat room gossip. HmmConfused I'll stop adding things to my amazon wish list and recalculating credit card repayments then. Grin

Do Neevo only do payments on Fridays? I've had v small payments on the last couple of Fridays. Yesterday I was hoping for some more to come through as there are lots of projects which have closed over a week ago and under review.

It's putting me off doing more tasks as I don't want to waste my time.

On a random note, why the hell does my neighbour feel the need to pip his car horn to his wife every time he leaves the house! So annoying!

Oh dear, for Echo? I haven't seen the chat room yet - just signed up to Appen this week - so I'll have a look, thank you!
littlegem84 · 12/09/2020 11:00

I'm looking to do my CV for appen - how much detail did people go into?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/09/2020 11:11

@SidVisk Neevo seem to pay in a sporadic manner. Sometimes weekly, sometimes fortnightly, other times longer still between payments. I have quite a few outstanding tasks that I've done over the past month or so (non very big earners) but not been paid since around the 20th August. They seem to vary which day of the week they pay on too. No rhyme or reason to it at all.

WotsitWiggle · 12/09/2020 11:12

Oh damn, I've just been invited to that! Did 50 tasks, was about 15 minutes work, and thought I'd do some more later. Are they unlikely to pay?

I keep getting reminded of the text variant jobs at $0.08, apparently there's $320 worth of work for me. Yes, but it takes too long and I know nothing about cars!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/09/2020 11:34

@WotsitWiggle that text variant job I'm finding the same as you! I know nothing about cars at all and keep having to Google stuff. I do about eight at a time and have done precisely 140 so far. I really have to grit my teeth but am not going to get rich quick doing them, so do them as a 'filler' if I have a few minutes to spare.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 12/09/2020 11:37

Woohoo, finally got my £10 Amazon gift card from Appino!
Also got a £7.63 ($10) one from Upvoice. Christmas present fund has begun!

Horehound · 12/09/2020 12:21

@WotsitWiggle I also have that job but it takes so long I don't think it's worth 0.08 to do.
One "sentence" I got was "refund".
So turn that into an automotive sentence Hmm ridiculous

I do think they will pay for the text preference but you need to complete all four sections and they don't say how many jobs there are per section so you could be there for weeks and weeks.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/09/2020 12:37

@Horehound I've done all four parts of the text preference one this morning (all four). The first two parts only seemed to have 200 tasks in each and the second two one was 60 and the other slightly more (maybe 80?). Readers, I worked out I'd made just over $20 (mind you, it probably only took me 1 1/2 hours max).

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/09/2020 12:38

Sorry, realise I repeated 'all four' twice in the same sentence. Blush

Horehound · 12/09/2020 12:40

Thanks for the info @NewModelArmyMayhem18!

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/09/2020 12:44

I am conflicted sometimes between the time it takes to do the work and how much I earn. I was quite relieved in a way that it was a quick to do task but then a bit dismayed that I'd not earned more. Does that make sense?

Horehound · 12/09/2020 13:19

Yep! Totally agree

WotsitWiggle · 12/09/2020 13:22

Thank you @NewModelArmyMayhem18
I'll carry on then

I generally time myself for 5-10 tasks, then work out what my hourly rate would be. If it's much less than $10 then I don't bother carrying on.

Today's job is to register with more of the big sites.

Horehound · 12/09/2020 13:29

@WotsitWiggle good idea although in this case you'd not get paid for the ones you do in 5-10mins
