Thank you @peelpeelthebanana.

I've just found something called UpVoice which looks good. It's a browser extension that monitors how you interact with adverts. You get tokens to exchange for cash when you visit certain sites (including facebook) once per day.

Referral link to get $5 is below.

You've been invited to join UpVoice. Please open the following link on your desktop computer and get your $5 sign up reward.

I've downloaded the app and done my first story @SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock but how much do they pay?!

WonderTweek · 09/08/2020 22:09

I got Streetbees last night as well and had my first story approved. For 30p. Grin I haven't really read any info on them so I don't know how much you would make, but the app itself seems quite pleasant to use. I'll give it a go.

I'm literally on every single site and app now. Blush My plan is to map out which ones are worth my time and weed out the ones that don't pay much. I must admit I quite enjoy testing these sites out.

shreddednips · 09/08/2020 22:15

Hi all, these threads are awesome. Thank you so much to everyone who contributes as this has been a total lifesaver so far. We're really struggling financially with corona as my self employed work is drying up, but I made a start on trying to make some extra money a couple of days ago and already seeing results.

I was just wondering whether anyone could advise me re: cloudworkers type jobs please. I applied but have just had an email saying I'm on a waiting list. I've looked at a few alternatives but I'm really anxious about potentially signing up to something that isn't legitimate. Are there any OK alternatives?

GachaBread · 09/08/2020 22:30

@shreddednips try chat-from-home.com, they usually take on people a lot quicker then cloudworkers but the management work on a different time zone and back when I applied to work with them back in the days I missed the times to verify my identity with them as they wanted to do it at 4am or something stupid like that. I know many people had trouble staying awake for this and after a few chances I missed out.
An old friend of mine works for them and a few off here too and they pay weekly unlike CW which is monthly. I can vouch they are legitimate but unsure if they are taking on anyone new so you would have to apply and find out.

shreddednips · 09/08/2020 22:48

Thanks so much, I'll take a look at them :)

wildnightswildnights · 10/08/2020 10:42

Has anyone else had problems with Usertesting and the tests not appearing in 'completed tests' and just disappearing? I've done two now (one took 55 mins and the other 45) and all for nothing. I've emailed support but no response.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 10/08/2020 11:36

@wildnightswildnights I've worked for UserTesting a long time and never had a problem with them. Are you waiting for the files to upload? Sometimes it takes a few minutes to appear too.

Also I think I've only had a test over 20 minutes once. I've never had one take longer than 30 mins either. That doesn't sound right.

wildnightswildnights · 10/08/2020 11:51

Thanks @SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock. I know, its weird, it was a standard desktop test but it actually said at the start of the test it would take around 45 minutes so I thought I'd give it a go, it didnt appear in completed tests, then it came up again and I was accepted. I took the test again on a different computer and it still didn't appear. Really odd. I was foolish for doing it twice but was so annoyed it didnt upload the first time I wanted my measly $10 out of them.

Baby89 · 10/08/2020 12:58

@wildnightswildnights and @SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock where do you look for tests , I’ve joined utest but can’t seem to find any tests etc I’m not sure where I am supposed to look - can you direct me thanks

Baby89 · 10/08/2020 14:43

Blush sorry @wildnightswildnights and @SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock I somehow read it as utest - can anyone help direct me with utest I can’t see where the projects are thanks

PigglyWigglyWoo · 10/08/2020 16:16

I agree Streetbees is great, been using it for about 2 years now, here’s my referral: 7544JH

Made loads on prolific today, only been logged in for an hour and made £15, just a constant stream of surveys. I still have the COVID one to do too so will hot £20 from that today at least.

Fed up with Usertesting. Been on it a week or so and been screened out of everything until today when I managed to get on 2. The first one said I had to install their recorder, which I did, and then said I had to share my screen, which I couldn't work out how to do :( The second said I had to install the app again, and there was no way to get past that screen. I tired uninstalling and then reinstalling, by which time I was thrown off :(
I am currently working through the utest academy, but not feeling very confident I'll get accepted on anything there either, so feeling a bit disheartened by it all. applied to appen weeks ago, but still not accepted.

WonderTweek · 10/08/2020 17:58

Darn it. I've missed most of Prolific studies today again. Grr. I have made about 3 quid on their site today - but I have been spending time with my son and feel guilty if I'm constantly clicking. Grin I wish there were more studies in the evenings and weekends! My weekend was not very fruitful bar some of the Neevo jobs but those have dried up too. It's very much up and down at the mo.

ruralwanderer · 10/08/2020 18:10

I'm loving Appen at the moment, I'm doing a transcription task which, whilst not amazingly paid, seems to have endless work. Every time I've logged in for about 4 days I've been able to pick up a batch to work on 😁

Sonmi451 · 10/08/2020 20:22

Not checked in for a couple of days as we've had a busy weekend.

I'm now making progress with Appen, thanks to a PM from @Gatekeeper. I've got an application in progress with them.

I also signed up with Trading 212 (can't remember whose link I used though, sorry) - how and when do you find out about the free share?

Frenchdoors1 · 10/08/2020 20:30

@PigglyWigglyWoo
Is it right that you only get paid for 'some' of the stories you send on Street bees?
I did loads and wasn't paid for every one.

daceecad · 10/08/2020 21:27

@Sonmi451 do you mind sharing what did you change in your application for appen? I've been waiting for some news God knows for how long now :(

Thanks to everyone contributing to this thread, it might just save my financial situation at least a bit!

PigglyWigglyWoo · 10/08/2020 21:29

@Frenchdoors1
That’s right. Only some are paid so I tend to wait for those they’ll say £3.00, £5.00 etc next to them.
A couple of quick COVID related ones have been 30p.

It’s a slow earner in terms of amounts but pays quickly

Frenchdoors1 · 10/08/2020 21:41

@PigglyWigglyWoo
Thank you!
I remember being disappointed because I had wrote loads of detailed stories and they never got through, hehe nevermind.

Horehound · 10/08/2020 21:45

I missed all prolific today because my baby has been very upset all day. Not managed to make a penny
I'm still waiting to be paid from a fair few jobs on neevo. Some of which I last did in mid July...

Frenchdoors1 · 10/08/2020 21:51

'@Horehound'
There's still time yet because they have to check them all before they pay. I've a few outstanding too Smile

Frenchdoors1 · 10/08/2020 21:52

Bold fail going on there...
