June earn £10 a day thread

It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

OP posts:
MrsWombat · 28/06/2020 06:51

@Fizbo I got paid really late in the month for my first month. I'm guessing it takes them a while to add all the bank account stuff on. You can send them an email to double-check they've got everything correctly?

Fizbo · 28/06/2020 08:10

@MrsWombat thanks yes I will wait until tomorrow and then email them. It does say on the wiki that payment can be up to 30 days so I'm hopeful it's just as you say because it's my first payment.

You cannot earn £10 per hour on Potato. No way. If each item earns you 3p, you would have to complete over 333 items each hour for your £10. So 10 seconds on each??? That's rubbish. Compare it folks to reading a multiple choice question with at least half a dozen options. Can you reliably answer within 10 seconds? It's a total waste of your effort. And you get taxed on it. You can make far more from matched betting without the taxation issue or from other methods without the ridiculous pay rate.
Wish someone had pointed it out to me. Far too much learning and hassle besides the pathetic pay rate.

justtheonethen · 28/06/2020 08:42

@user1486472583 10 seconds is more than enough for most of them. Some take longer, some quicker. You're coming across very aggressively. It doesn't work for you, it does for others 🤷🏼‍♀️

Azerothi · 28/06/2020 08:54

@user1486472583

You should rephrase your comment and use 'I' instead of the generalisation 'you'. As in 'I' can't earn...

MrsWombat · 28/06/2020 09:20

I think some of us are going to have to politely disagree with you there User. I've tried matched betting before and decided it wasn't for me, and I don't earn enough to pay tax.

I've just done a 15 min surge where I was interrupted by a small child who needed a drink and still managed £2.20 (so £8.80/hour NMW) before the surge bonus is added on. Halo And yes, the majority of items take less than 10 seconds.

We are not here on this thread to make thousands. Just £10 a day in our yoga pants whilst juggling small children. Smile Peace and Love guys.

Does anyone work In**i-UC? Is it ad rating?

MrsPretzels · 28/06/2020 12:14

Same @lilmishap

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 28/06/2020 13:22

Out of interest, what title do you give yourself to add to your CV? Asking for DS who has earned his first £250 now that I've convinced him there is money to be made by regularly doing AI related work.

toastytea · 28/06/2020 15:46

I've not heard back from potato after doing the 30 mins!

MrsWombat · 28/06/2020 16:13

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 That would depend on what i'm doing. Appen I would put down as Social Media Evaluator.

BertieBotts · 28/06/2020 17:47

I've put on my CV Freelance contractor, then specified the task I think is most valuable to the type of job I'm applying for. Most often QA testing, because it seems to come across best, I've had questions about that at interview. But I have put microtasks/SEO and AI training if the company has mention of SEO or AI in their brief or description.

Have I mentioned on here before Proz.com, that one's good for transcription and translation. You can occasionally get proofreading jobs on there too. But mainly it's aimed at people who speak multiple languages.

seizethecuttlefish · 28/06/2020 19:18

I don't mention it on my cv or linked in. It's not relevant to any roles I'm going for so I have a career break.

Anyone on potato tonight....so slow. Think I'll have to start making Sunday my day off!

BertieBotts · 28/06/2020 19:26

That's another choice yep leave it off entirely. Unfortunately I don't have a lot to put on there Blush so every little helps!

MrsWombat · 28/06/2020 19:39

@BertieBotts I think it's fine to put on your CV as a mum/student job if you have nothing else in the same way you would put on a volunteering position. It shows you've been using your brain and have a good work ethic. It's better than a gap.

Madre77 · 28/06/2020 21:06

@BertieBotts I have added this work on my CV. We are working with some of the leading social media companies and as it looks like we are speeding towards a completely digitised world It will be a great additionSmile.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/06/2020 07:22

Thanks for your suggestions on 'job title'. It's for my DS doing it. As it's effectively his first job, he needs all the help he can get with bolstering up his CV.

ruralwanderer · 29/06/2020 07:48

Is anyone else having trouble with the Intellizoom surveys at the moment? The last 4 I've been emailed have displayed the "Survey closed" message when I've clicked them, even though I was on the laptop and opened one the second it arrived. I have emailed them to ask but thought I'd check here too Smile

Azerothi · 29/06/2020 07:51

Is it my imagination or have they reduced the At@s time by 2 minutes? I am sure it was 5 minutes per page?

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 29/06/2020 08:00

@ruralwanderer I only do the 'cheap' Intellizoom surveys ($2/$5 ones) but I haven't had one for weeks, if not months (after being invited to do one virtually every day previously).

Frenchdoors1 · 29/06/2020 08:05

@Azerothi
Yes, they've reduced it to 3 minutes. Tut.

Patbutcherismyhero · 29/06/2020 08:06

Can anyone recommend any genuine and reliable content providers/content mills for web articles, blogs and so on. I've been doing this a while for a company but the work (and pay) seems to have dried up recently.

Azerothi · 29/06/2020 08:08

@Frenchdoors1
Thanks. I literally thought I was seeing things. I couldn't find a copy of the old guidelines to compare.

Frenchdoors1 · 29/06/2020 08:10

@Azerothi
Haha, I know what you mean.

lilmishap · 29/06/2020 09:45

@ruralwanderer intellizoom are so odd they usually send me several between 1-4am, and they go in seconds as well. But I still love them they're so easy!

@MrsPretzels at least it's not just me, that's a relief! ☹️ my Tru##ee has ended today and my youngest is back to school, I've got hours free...
