It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

@TheLolaMontez congrats on the potato email. I sugguest you read everything and take your time. They are really patient and its really interesting when you DO pass. I really enjoy it as it is keeping me abreast of issues online. Good luck and follow instructions xx

Azerothi · 16/06/2020 15:19

B@@e is back right now for anyone who gets a link.

lilmishap · 16/06/2020 15:41

Jeesus Ba*e

Buster27 · 16/06/2020 15:50

A whole 10 minutes of B* for me Hmm

lilmishap · 16/06/2020 15:50

TWO on B*ne, gone. This time next year I'll be a millwionare rodders!

lilmishap · 16/06/2020 15:51

How long did neevo take to pay out the calls?

Buster27 · 16/06/2020 15:54

Congrats on the emails @TheLolaMontez and @toastytea :) I'm sure you'll do fine with the test, don't panic if you think you've cocked it up as the majority felt like that after (myself included!). I can't really remember the test now but I seem to remember one of the tips given being to keep a tally of how many you've answered and the time you started (assume you have to do so many within a certain timeframe but can't remember for sure, I'm sure someone who remembers better will have better advice!).

ifuckarses · 16/06/2020 15:55

Managed about 28 minutes worth of B*.

MrsWombat · 16/06/2020 15:55

@TheLolaMontez @toastytea Congratulations, all I can say is read everything, there are no trick questions it's mostly common sense and a bit of reading comprehension. For the exam they say you need to do x amount in 30 mins to pass. (I can't remember what) You will do that with no trouble but make a tally of each one you do so you can relax once you've done the minimum. You won't earn a fortune, I've not even manage to go fast enough for minimum wage yet but unlike every other company/project on here the work is always there! Good luck!

justtheonethen · 16/06/2020 15:57

Didn't even log into b@ne before it ran out Grin

Congrats to the new crispies! You will be fine, the test isn't hard. Always work too which is fab. I make £10/11 an hour but I mainly do shifts now.

MrsWombat · 16/06/2020 15:58

FFS I had the school run to do so didn't get any Bane Envy.

ruralwanderer · 16/06/2020 16:00

I managed 3 B* tasks - really like the new format! They seem to have got the balance right (for me anyway) :D Really hope they stick with it and lots more comes through soon.

Fizbo · 16/06/2020 16:01

Managed a whole 25 mins on B@*e 😬 I honestly think they over employed on this one! I was already online when the email came through too so was hoping for a good hour at least. Oh well maybe the next batch will be better.
Congratulations to the new potatoes! It has been a game changer for me Smile

Mrsm010918 · 16/06/2020 16:01

@TheLolaMontez just relax and take your time. I failed the test the first time, took it again a few days later and passed :)

Neevo have actually paid me for about 50% of the tasks done so far. Once it's all finished I'll be able to better judge how much they missed off, until then I'll just keep it as my bottom priority task to fill time between other work and study.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 16/06/2020 16:03

30 mins on B*e. Really boring though as I kept getting the same queries over and over!

seizethecuttlefish · 16/06/2020 16:05

Congrats new potatoers. You'll be fine. Take your time. They're looking for accuracy as much as anything. Money wise, if there's a surge you'll do well. I'm not on shifts (and no chance of that happening for a while) so make between 7-9hr.
I managed 30 mins B though. So that's good and my regular project is allowing me to work more hours this week. Which is brilliant. For the first time in months, I've added to my savings. Can we have a Hell Yeah! For this thread Grin!

dirtyfries · 16/06/2020 16:32

@Mrsm010918 neevo have paid me almost exactly 50% of the U.K. transcripts today too. Hoping as the job isn't closed yet there will be more payments to come.

Like you it's my 'exhausted everything else today' option

BecauseOfIndia · 16/06/2020 16:47

@seizethecuttlefish do you mind me asking how long you've been with potato? I was part of the last recruitment drive so on about my 3rd month and I'm averaging £4 an hour. I can't seem to get it above that except when there's a surge Sad

justtheonethen · 16/06/2020 17:00

@BecauseOfIndia are you doing it much? It gets quicker once you know the trees inside out and where to find each risk. Also two pages open if it's slow loading/no distractions/set a timer for 45 mins and totally focus are good tips I've read. Unfortunately a lot of it comes down to how quickly you read them too I think.

toastytea · 16/06/2020 17:10

Oh I thought it was a better eArner than that! £4 an hour is ridiculous when appen is offering almost £11 an hour. I'm

seizethecuttlefish · 16/06/2020 17:15

I've been potatoing 6 months. I'm on at least 5 days a week for 2.5 hrs in total. I set a timer. I can only do 45 mins or my attention to detail slips. I have 2 tabs open and I look where the biggest queue is and go there. I can't watch tv doing it or do other things. I tend to just put my head down and do it. Before lockdown it was deadly quiet and really slow. Sometimes there were 30 in the queue and I tried to find other stuff. If you can get on shifts, I think it can be good.

BecauseOfIndia · 16/06/2020 17:40

Thanks @justtheonethen I do on average an hour a day. I do have 2 windows open at all times. I'm obviously just slow!

@toastytea don't judge it by me. It is actually quite enjoyable unlike a lot of Appen, B**e for instance. I just did 30 mins of that and wanted to kill myself. Never again.

Fizbo · 16/06/2020 18:53

Did anyone get on the US B!*e task? I managed one before the work was done 😬

MrsWombat · 16/06/2020 18:54

I managed a whole 11 minutes on the US Bane.

RamblingFar · 16/06/2020 19:00

B* released some US tasks.

Timed out on 2 and completed 2.

Time out is too fast if they want us to open all 10 windows, actually look at them and then rank them, find the correct dropdown link, hit submit and close the 10 windows before moving on.

It's fine if it's something obvious to rank - famous actor, store, movie.

But sometimes they are quite obscure and you actually need to look at the webpages a bit. I can't tell about walk-in centres in some random US town without actually having a chance to look at the pages (ie if its in the right town or actually a walk-in medical clinic or not).

I'm quick at reading, but not 18 sec each quick when having to load and flick between windows and selections whilst mentally ranking them.
