It's a brand new month so have started a new thread.

I've had few emails from Neevo over the weekend offering work, however I still haven't received payment for tasks I did at the beginning of May so am giving them a wide berth. Anyone else?

I've been on here since last year and literally no one has failed the potato test, so don't worry too much about it.

Aquastorm · 16/06/2020 20:25

Has anyone got the link to ‘Bane’?

Rad2016 · 16/06/2020 20:33

I got the link but no work available

pisspants · 17/06/2020 01:21

I am popping on here for the first time in ages as also got the potato email today! I must have done the initial screening about a year ago as that's when I first started coming onto these threads so it has taken me by surprise. Is it one you can choose how much you work on? If you only do a little bit would you get taken off being able to work for them? I say this as I am now on 2 long term Appen projects. One has been for about 10 months now and the other maybe 8 months. I don't know how long they will last so dont want to give up this potatoey chance but am a bit worried I won't be able to give much time to it at the moment as the Appen projects I have to do daily.

MrsWombat · 17/06/2020 06:42

@pisspants I think it's 1000 tasks every 3 weeks which is more than manageable if you do a bit a couple of quid a day to keep your hand in and party hard if there's a surge on. Good luck!

pisspants · 17/06/2020 07:23

thanks @MrsWombat - roughly how much would time would that be each day do you think?

MrsWombat · 17/06/2020 07:53

@pisspants At full speed, around 10 mins every day working with 2 tabs open and fully concentrating. It will probably take you around half an hour each day at the very beginning with one tab open and reading the guidelines etc.

pisspants · 17/06/2020 08:04

@MrsWombat - fab, thanks - that'll be doable.

commonasmukk · 17/06/2020 09:17

Received the email from crisp yesterday. Did the DocuSign. How long does it normally take to receive the Versal platform email.

unicornpoopoop · 17/06/2020 10:53

How long do appen payments take to hit our accounts?

Azerothi · 17/06/2020 10:59

@unicornpoopoop

About 15 days or slightly longer.

unicornpoopoop · 17/06/2020 11:02

Thanks @Azerothi - I was worried that it had gone to the wrong place but that's quite a wait so I just need to be patient

BecauseOfIndia · 17/06/2020 11:14

@unicornpoopoop Appen always pay on the 14th of the month so you should have had it by now. I got mine on the 12th because the 14th was a Sunday.

Redcrayons · 17/06/2020 12:00

There’s quite a few surveys on Prolific atm. Be quick, they fill up quickly.

TheCanterburyWhales · 17/06/2020 12:08

Everyone gets different surveys for Prolific. I haven't had any since the weekend despite having the tab open. But on Saturday I had 3 x£3ers, all in Italian about Covid. It depends.

I thought I'd failed potato because I thought it would stop me after the time ran out! I am trying to do a bit more each day. Prefer one queue to the other as the other has lots of things I ended up not being sure about!

lynsey91 · 17/06/2020 13:44

I got an email from Crisp yesterday asking me to sign some forms and send id. Then I will have to take the test to start working

I passed the initial test over a year ago and honestly have forgotten everything about it. How hard is the test to do? Has everyone passed it? Also do you only get one chance at it?

TheCanterburyWhales · 17/06/2020 14:02

Everyone passes it I think. You'll get a kind of "course" with modules to do first, then once you've read all of those and done the mini tests (not assessed) at the end, you can do the real one.

backseatcookers · 17/06/2020 14:46

Is anyone working the Wouri project on Appen? Is it a relatively low maintenance one or tricky? Any info / experience appreciated Smile

seizethecuttlefish · 17/06/2020 15:43

@backseatcookers I think you have to be invited to it or moved over from B$ I think. It's not on my list but I did get an email about it a while back. I'm not on it but if it's like B then it's easy money just a bit repetitive.

backseatcookers · 17/06/2020 15:55

Ah thank you @seizethecuttlefish - I've been invited onto it but just didn't want to commit if it's a really tricky one that's glitchy etc. Might give it a go...

seizethecuttlefish · 17/06/2020 16:12

@backseatcookers congrats. I'd go for it. What's the worst that can happen? (Famous last words) Wink

Azerothi · 17/06/2020 16:43

I did a very small test set a week ago. It's just like the old bane where you had to rank the five URLs - easy peasy :)

AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion · 17/06/2020 16:55

Has anyone here ever had a gap between the cash out from CW and actually receiving the money? I've seemingly lost money from my payable amount but no sign of the PayPal email 😨

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 17/06/2020 19:13

@AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion I've had that happen. It disappeared for about a day then appeared in my Paypal, was a bit weird.

DeegeeDee · 17/06/2020 20:27

Anyone did Pecxxxx on Appen before? Wonder what it's like as its returned and I now have a new laptop.
