Hope you’re all well and have had a fantastic month of money making in April. And of course, welcome to anyone just joining us. I’ve finally managed to hopefully put together a more comprehensive list of absolutely everything I can think of to help people maximise their earnings in these uncertain times, some are referral links where me/the user earn some sort of reward, but you are under no obligation at all to use them. As always, referral links are more than welcome

I just want to get this out of the way and say that please, I know times are really tough for so many people, and tensions are high, but please don’t take it out on others on this thread. I really want this to be a place of support, rather than people ripping into each other in frustration. People on here also aren’t being intentionally secretive or evasive about work they are doing, it’s simply a case of not wanting to risk breaching their NDA and losing income.

And it's a bit infra dig to namechange to be nasty tbh.

Assumingisnotproductive · 16/05/2020 16:31

Jesus Christ every one jumping in too add their two pennies worth now. I do not see how I was being nasty, I name changed as I do not want my usual name to be associated with such negativity surrounded curds who said being unhelpful to to another poster by saying she does not think their is much earning potential on here and that she does not think people can earn a living wage potientially causing that poster to fly her or his wings elsewhere. Their is money to be made here but it is not going to be instantly. How is that nasty?

Assumingisnotproductive · 16/05/2020 16:37

Many posters earn over £1000 per month or have previously done from various little earners on here so I think it was very negative to tell another that their is no earning potential here just because she/he has not earned anything on those levels. It does not happen over night, it can take months and months to get a decent wedge coming in and all of us have had our highs and lows.

curdsandwhey · 16/05/2020 16:39

That's not what I said and you know it. And I was replying to someone who said they only have one spare hour per day. You're reading things into this that aren't there. Stop.

Assumingisnotproductive · 16/05/2020 16:42

This is what you said

Yes most of the stuff on here has low earnings. I don't think many people are making a living out of it. I had assumed that most of the people here were doing this stuff to earn a little bit extra on top of whatever they usually do, to help with anything from clearing debts to buying extra things for their children.

You have also said other things in the past that are a bit of a diss to others on here but I do not have the time to go back through hundreds of posts

MrsWombat · 16/05/2020 16:44

My earnings are on my Instagram page. www.instagram.com/p/B__5P3bAB7n/?igshid=dzkjh1fq6fa0 I don’t do anything that doesn’t earn me at least minimum wage unless it’s something like Crisp or uTest where you’re learning as you go and will eventually earn more.

Assumingisnotproductive · 16/05/2020 16:52

I have said what I needed to say. If someone told me on a thread when first joining that their was nothing to make or not much earning possibility then I might have not proceeded to continue trying anything. If we are all for trying to uplift and be helpful that to me is certainly not helpful. I will not say anything more on the matter now, I am not nasty either just stating the obvious points of someone trying to belittle something that we all have worked so hard on to make something better for our households or families. This thread has become a life line to many and long may it continue to do so.

NewHorizons2020 · 16/05/2020 17:14

Thank you so much @curdsandwhey for the honest insight and the time you took to respond, it’s really appreciated. Like @assumingisnotproductive says, I’m sure there are a few on here who are earning lots, but, completely agree - it’s only ever worth what you are willing to invest. I’m also not sure if I’m the type that could make it grow but I’ll give it a go for 6 - 8 weeks and see how I get on. I’ve followed this thread for a few months now, love the positive, supportive tone and really looking forward to joining you all ❤️

curdsandwhey · 16/05/2020 17:22

"Most of the stuff on here" is surveys, 20Cogs, little apps, minor website testing (not UTest) etc, and does not include things like Appen which are the big earners but actually a small percentage of the list of things on the OP. So no, I don't think many people are making a living out of doing surveys and apps, i.e. most of the stuff on the list. And I was replying to someone who said they had only one spare hour per day, and it takes months to get fully approved by Appen and that poster sounded like they needed to earn money a lot quicker than that.

Even the Instagram link above is clearly listed as a side hussle. Nothing wrong with that but it's something you do on top of your day job, not instead of it. Otherwise why is it called a side hussle?

I haven't dissed anyone but you have clearly made some nasty comments towards me. I agree this thread is great, helpful and uplifting. The only person who's made it negative is you.

NewHorizons2020 · 16/05/2020 17:28

@curdsandwhey I’ll give Appen a go but your right, I have no time as I’m working full time and also have a short attention span so know I will quickly get bored of „low value“ surveys. I completed 2 voice profiling projects yesterday with clickworker - was fun and that’s the kind of thing I can imagine doing lots of.

MyMonkeyIsATwat · 16/05/2020 17:34

I like this thread and I agree it's pretty poor form to name change just to be unkind.

Is that even allowed on mumsnet? Isn't it being a sock?

ruralwanderer · 16/05/2020 18:00

@NewHorizons2020, if you enjoy the spoken surveys, definitely register with Intellizoom. Their think out loud surveys generally pay $8 for about 15-20 minutes of your time and are really fun to do 👍

NewHorizons2020 · 16/05/2020 18:03

Thank you @ruralwanderer - will give it a go tonight !

527040minutes · 16/05/2020 18:57

Just gone through and reapplied to things on A* as loads of my processes had expired. There seems to be a few new ones I've not spotted before if anyone else is like me and forgets to check!

seizethecuttlefish · 16/05/2020 19:38

I have no idea what to write. This is a lovely, supportive group. (Apart from that couple of months it got weird and loads of new people appeared and vanished.) I do ok out of this and it's my ONLY income. I'm not setting the world on fire but I'm getting by. I do 15-20hrs per week and some months are great and some (this month looks like it's going that way) are rubbish.

My Appen project has been down for 3 days and that takes a chunk out of this month.

I do the maths. If it says a task takes 30 secs and pays 10 cents. That's ok but recently some have been 2 cents. No way. But then if you can sit and do them in a lunch break or watching TV or it's all you have coming in, your choice.

Exchange rate allowing, Appen will pay around £10 an hour. Loads of people get work on Clickworker projects and do ok. Potato is worth waiting on. It can make you ok money if it's loading quickly enough. I do some surveys. I really like Intellizoom. Never had anything from Prolific. Done a few user groups, which are easy money and fun. Did loads of MB and I'm starting that up again next week. Yay betting on random football! It's great money if you get into it. I have days of feeling dejected. Especially when a good project comes to an end or your Appen has 40 things in progress and nothing is happening but when I think about it, @Otterses is right, when she says it's more than you would have had if you weren't doing anything.

I've been doing this nearly a year and the first 2/3 months were torture. Stick in but only if you want to. No millionaires here. But I don't meet many in real life.

I did come on for a moan about Appen and Neevo but you guys can probably fill in the blanks on what my moans will be Grin

Catatemyhomework · 16/05/2020 23:06

@MoreMoneyPlease and @NewModelArmyMayhem18 and @TheCanterburyWhales thank you for your kind words. X

MyopiaUtopia · 17/05/2020 00:12

Tbf this thread is called Earn £10 a day, so that would suggest the majority of us are trying to top up our income, rather than make a full time wage from Appen, Crisp, Surveys etc.

If you've earned £10 a day - great, if you've earned £100, that's also great, as is £1 a day if that's your personal goal. I don't write much on these threads but they have been a gamechanger for me, I've found out through here about Potato and earn a couple of hundred from that every month which is pretty lifestyle changing for me as a student! These threads are generally super positive and encouraging and I love that, so thank you to @Otterses and everyone else for starting and keeping them going, I really should contribute more in future.

It would be amazing if somehow we could work out a TOTAL estimated income that we have together all made since these threads started. Must be tens of thousands, and that's amazing.

Otterses · 17/05/2020 08:15

Will catch up later - but just wanted to share for anyone playing around with trading 212, shares in Lloyd's Bank have plummeted to 28p each Grin market is closed but I've place a wee order, feel quite confident they'll bounce back.

Not strictly money making I know, I was just wondering if anyone had any experience trading with Hargreaves Lansdown and if they have any distinct advantages other than 212 (other than a larger and more varied amount of companies you can buy shares from).

As I'm sure you can all tell I'm getting WAY too into this 😂

Morning peeps. Does anyone have a link for potato. It's not on the first page. Thanks in advance

527040minutes · 17/05/2020 10:51

Stupid question but how do the trading 121 links work? When I click them it open the link and redirects me to the App Store. I've downloaded the app now, but still get stuck at the App Store. Does it work better on PC?

justtheonethen · 17/05/2020 11:09

@Rad2016 it's the 4th link down Wink

Rad2016 · 17/05/2020 11:28

@ 09justtheonethen thank you Smile
