Hope you’re all well and have had a fantastic month of money making in April. And of course, welcome to anyone just joining us. I’ve finally managed to hopefully put together a more comprehensive list of absolutely everything I can think of to help people maximise their earnings in these uncertain times, some are referral links where me/the user earn some sort of reward, but you are under no obligation at all to use them. I just want to get this out of the way and say that please, I know times are really tough for so many people, and tensions are high, but please don’t take it out on others on this thread. I really want this to be a place of support, rather than people ripping into each other in frustration. Today is my 1-year anniversary with Appen. Yay! It also means my 12-month project with Truckee is most likely almost over. Boo!

My potato update. I'm really enjoying it. I'm up to £5 an hour for speed and that's before I do any of their wacky suggestions to increase productivity so I'm starting to get less panicky about losing Truckee. I don't have anything else to do at the moment so I've upped my target to £5 a day for that one. I have no idea how I am doing for quality though? No news is good news?

I've been going for about a month with hem now too MrsWombat and haven't heard anything about quality. I wondered if they would tell you straight away if you're crap or if they'll make me think I'm ok then tell me I'm sacked in a few weeks

From memory you get told pretty much within minutes/within 24 hours if you've made an error. Even if you do, they're really friendly and supportive, and explain how to make a better assessment of similar items in the future, I promise it's not like a telling off

@Otterses it has, so I've now got the app. But the link's still opening a webpage which is just redirecting me to the App Store! I'm on iPhone if it helps. Don't want to waste the free share if it's something simple I'm missing!

That is really strange! May be worth contacting support. I just uninstalled and went via one of the free share links to redoubled and it and its let me start registering as a new user without redirecting me to the website  anyone else had this issue?

Free shares last forever with trading212  so don't worry about wasting one.

@anxietrist it is all a bit overwhelming at first. We're all here for a handhold though and can try to help you figure out what's going to fit in best with your circumstances what do you ideally want to earn and how much time do you have to spare?

@mrswombat what are the tips for increasing speed on crisp? Obviously I have two tabs open but I've not seen any wacky tips, what am I missing? Thank you.

@fanniee That was the tip I was talking about. I've not been brave enough to do that yet. There's also something about using the arrow keys instead of mouse. There's a bit on the wiki about it.

@anxietrist Welcome! My favourites for earning a bit of pin money straight away are Clickworker and Prolific. Appen and uTest will bring good money if you get on the right projects. Crisp AKA the potato people is worth getting on the waiting list for long term work. Good luck.

Are any of the new potato people not submitting their first invoice? I think I read on here or on the Wiki that it's not worth doing unless you earn a certain amount? I started late into April so have less then £20! Although my speed has gone up so I'm also aiming for £5 a day during May

You can't submit it below £20 I don't think, I'm sure that's what the Wiki says.

@Fizbo I don't think they will process it if it is less than £20 so you roll it over to next month? I managed to get mine to £24 thankfully, so I can test out the invoice procedure on a small amount.

If you did it over the weekend @cheesemongery it'll usually take till Monday to be credited to your account. Did you join in the last couple of days or quite a while ago?

The business I work for are in the process of launching some new market research surveys and we need people to complete them - obviously people will be paid. I wondered if I may be able to ask for respondents/people to take part here?

Otterses - to answer your question about Hargreaves Lansdown. I have used them for ISAs for years, which might not be exactly what you want. My experience is that their main advantage is how simple it us to understand and use their platform. The website and customer support is the best out there imo. I looked around at other platforms but came back to them even though they used to be better value than they are now as they are made for amateur investors like me.

That said, I wasn't willing to devote much time and energy to learning a new site. I wouldn't be surprised if you put more effort into it!

@Otterses I use AJ Bell for my kids ISAs and I have a small ISA with them too. If you buy their own funds there is no purchase fee. Normal funds are £1.50 and shares are £9.99 so might not be what you are looking for!
