Cloud workers/chat from home

Essentially paid to flirt/sexy chat, I can't claim to be too knowledgable about these two!

Fivver/upwork/guru

Paid 'to do' sites. You can offer normal services on the latter two, or do odd things like sell a video of you clipping your toenails on Fivver.

£6.37? So far, this month you mean?

justtheonethen · 04/03/2020 11:36

@bluersky It is her thread though, you don't have to be on it if you're so offended by the affiliate links.

rhij86 · 04/03/2020 11:36

@GachaBread definitely out of order.

It's quite clear to anyone who takes the time to actually read the list and links that only a handful of them are referral links, as opposed to just links to the main website.

And as @otterses says, everyone else posts their referral links, often multiple times (myself included!) - so why shouldn't she?

@otterses - thank you for starting these threads and all the work you do. I haven't been able to make consistent high money but the money I have made has definitely helped ease things like Christmas and paying off debts a bit quicker. And things are hopefully looking up again this month... if appen ever pull their finger out Grin

ZetaPuppis · 04/03/2020 11:44

@otterses I’ve been a bit quiet on these threads currently because, thanks to you, I’ve been busy!
I’m earning some extra money as well as trying out the things you’ve linked to or others have mentioned.
I can’t tell you how grateful I am that you’ve started this thread because it’s made a huge difference to me.
Not just financially, because to be but mentally/emotionally too.

Please ignore the petty negativity.

fanniee · 04/03/2020 11:53

What an ignorant comment to make about Ottersea. She's been a fucking marvel and has improved lots of lives, including mine enormously.

Anyway, back to my question. Thanks for those who have answered about shifts etc, much appreciated.

otterses · 04/03/2020 11:55

Ahh you know what, I can't be arsed with defending myself for affiliate links that don't even exist. There are three referral links, I've earned one low value trading 212 share this year, so that's it in terms of transparency.

I'm not in this to make money off the backs of others. It was intended to be helpful.

Anyway... off to go get shit from people in my day job instead now Grin

OP posts:
bluersky · 04/03/2020 11:57

The opening post gains a lot more visibility than the other posts in the thread. If the opening poster's intent is genuinely to help others, then the opening post should be affiliate link free or posters should be taking turns. It need to be fair for everyone.

I have seen this time and time again, on a variety of forums where posters are putting their own affilate links up under the guise of helping others, when they are in fact helping themsleves.

rhij86 · 04/03/2020 12:01

@bluersky, you've made your point, now dfod

Youneedtocalmd0wn · 04/03/2020 12:03

@bluersky - Otterses has been completely transparent and this thread has improved my life massively too. You won't find any support for you here so I think it's time you hide the thread and move on if it bothers you that much. See ya.

Catatemyhomework · 04/03/2020 12:09

@Otterses, I'm another one who loves this thread. It has actually changed my life. I was working in a job where I was feeling ill and stressed. It wasn't very well paid, but from finding this thread, I have now handed in my notice and honestly, I've nearly earned what I was earning before in the 3 months I've been doing this. I could do with getting that up a bit, but I have found the links really helpful to navigate to the various sites and sign up. I couldn't have done any of this without you. I am also eternally gratefully, so thank you so much Flowers

Catatemyhomework · 04/03/2020 12:29

Yay, just been paid by Clickworker. I am super excited, it's only 15 euros but at least I know they do pay now. Do any of you accept the Paypal payment as euros instead of £? I did because I thought there might be a transaction charge if I accepted in £.

lilmishap · 04/03/2020 12:30

@Madre77 I'm with one how many hours a day do you do it? I've been doing it a few months and I'm really struggling this week, I just can't face it today!

anxiouswaiting · 04/03/2020 12:41

Shock if you don't like it @bluersky you could always start your own thread or go to some other forum?

@otterses started these threads over a year ago, she spends her own time finding money making sources and sharing them to help others, usually without any affiliate links and when she does use a link who cares if she makes some money, I hope she does after all the help she has given others?!?! Nobody is forced to use her links and everyone is welcome to post their own which others then have the choice to use or to not use a link at all. I'd like to think everyone on here has the capability to scroll through and make a choice for themselves about what link to use.

If you read past threads there are many many thanks to her because these threads have enabled people to pay for ivf, clear debt, extend maternity leave, leave miserable jobs etc... and out of all of us who follow these threads who is the one consistent person who always puts up a new thread if nobody else bothers, answers questions, shares her new money making avenues (which usually don't make her any money for sharing and actually increase applicants thus potentially reducing work availability for herself. @otterses that's who.

Thank goodness the majority of us are grateful for all her help and it's just a very small minority with views like yours.

Thank you @otterses for all you have done to help others, you are a star and I like lots of others on this thread would still be in a difficult situation if it weren't for you.

Lougle · 04/03/2020 12:46

@bluersky why don't you start a thread? You could give it a catchy name like 'Earn £9.99 a day'. Then keep an eye on it, help newbies, set up all the links to various sites.

I've made £500 in 2 months thanks to these threads. I'm grateful for them and I don't care who gets benefit from it.

rhij86 · 04/03/2020 12:57

@Catatemyhomework I always accept payment in whatever currency it comes through in and then withdraw to my bank - so euros, dollars etc.
I've just been paid by clickworker too. 6.50 euros but next week I should get the first of my UHRS money so that should be another 40 :)

fanniee · 04/03/2020 13:06

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Wonder if it's that funny man who got chucked off here recently for touting for his own site?

TheLolaMontez · 04/03/2020 13:29

Gosh aren't some people petty as fuck Hmm

Another poster just wanting to THANK @otterses for all her hard work and input. If it wasn't for these threads that she works tirelessly to keep going, I wouldn't have been able to earn money from home whilst looking after my DD, she would have been in childcare at a few months old.

If you don't like it, don't read it. If you don't like affiliate links, don't click them.

Everyone has a fair chance to post whatever links they want on here and if other readers/posters don't read past the first post on such a busy, fast moving thread then that's their own daft fault!!

Christ.

Thanks again Otterses 🦦 - you are awesome Grin

tinyradish · 04/03/2020 13:33

Also very grateful for these threads - hadn't heard of any of these money making sites without them! Seems like completely unnecessary drama to me.

Anyway, I'm feeling hopeful about B* project - hopefully some work does becoman available as promised soon. Anyone else waiting on this?

Catatemyhomework · 04/03/2020 13:34

@rhij86, thanks. Yes I tend to accept in their currencies too as I think there may be a charge to convert it. Also, I don't think it makes any difference once it's in the bank! Grin. Also, does anyone know how frequently Intellizoom pays? I've done a lot of surveys for them since early January and I think I've been paid the princely sum of $2 so far!

Catatemyhomework · 04/03/2020 13:39

@tinyradish, I'm waiting on that project too. In fact I'm waiting on two Appen projects starting with B. I had two emails this morning to say they'll be starting soon. I really hope so.

rhij86 · 04/03/2020 13:43

@catatemyhomework I'm waiting on the same two projects. Wish I could say patiently! But after getting a taste of earning close to £1K in both November and December, to drop down to about £150 in January was torture so I'm itching for some work again.

Intellizoom are quite sporadic. I think it's something like 21 working days? so around a month.

Catatemyhomework · 04/03/2020 13:57

@rhij86, thanks. I'll keep my fingers crossed for us both and anyone else waiting. I think this is the closest I've come to an Appen project starting. They have certainly sent a flurry of emails over the last few days. Here's hoping.

girlicorne · 04/03/2020 13:58

Now now @rhij86 you wouldn’t be making any money from that link would you??? 😀

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 04/03/2020 13:59

Fingers crossed from Appen. I have 2 waiting to start and another 1 potentially restarting. I foresee them all arriving at once!
