Essentially paid to flirt/sexy chat, I can't claim to be too knowledgable about these two!

Fivver/upwork/guru

Paid 'to do' sites. You can offer normal services on the latter two, or do odd things like sell a video of you clipping your toenails on Fivver.

@mileymileymoomoo don't feel too disheartened about Rev, I have done loads and tranacription projects for Appen and ISoftstone and have pretty high accuracy, but I failed both captioning and transcription on Rev! I hear it's quite poorly paid too. Have you tried Take Note?

Also UHRS I find is pretty glitchy with its tests and you can get them wrong even of you are sure your answer is right. Very hit and miss! Luckily there is often new stuff to try on there so don't give up.

ShesCurly · 02/03/2020 13:32

Just wanted to say thank you so much to the people who start and keep up these threads.

Being on here means that I am now earning enough on Appen to not be shitting myself about money. I'm so grateful for all the advice on here.

And while it doesn't matter how many times I carefully read over explanations of matched betting, because my brain can't seem to fathom it, I've found another way to keep afloat thanks to these threads.

THANK YOU Thanks

Mileymileymoomoo · 02/03/2020 13:43

Thanks @anxiouswaiting, I do transcription and proofing in my “day job” so was a bit surprised tbh.

On a better note, just got £40 for 2 cat houses I stuck on Facebook last night, they’ve been lying in the garage for months and our cats refuse to use them!

Mileymileymoomoo · 02/03/2020 13:43

I will have a look at take note now

toastytea · 02/03/2020 13:59

I've been off this thread for a bit because I got lazy!

Last month earnings -

Appen - approx 350 dollars
Utest - 100 dollars
Neevo 60 dollars

Waiting on an appen project to start this month and have more utest to get on with.

After failing a few quals last month I was a bit disheartened but ready to apply, apply, apply again!

Good luck everyone!

GachaBread · 02/03/2020 14:08

@ Lougle heard a few people raving about another testing website so thought you might want to take a look. test.io/

You're spoiling me today, @GachaBread Grin I'm tired and feeling a bit mopey about a rejection, so I'll have a nose on those sites to cheer me up Smile

TheCanterburyWhales · 02/03/2020 16:13

Checking in and thanks for new thread.

Just sent my Appen invoice in. Looks to be a few hours up on January which is cool and I'm chuffed with myself as I also had 10 days off with flu/bronchitis when the last thing I could do was click on achingly boring bloody ads all day.

To those asking about Appen start times- be patient and it should happen. I waited 10 months (!!!!) and kept watching all the lovely people on this thread get accepted onto projects and had truly given up, and now I'm working 2 and have had to turn others down because real life work commitments got in the way.

I also had a bloody email from Lionbridge after all this time saying they wanted me (1yr and 1 month later) but had to 'fess up about Appen.

Done 2 Prolifics today too. Am going to try and step up this month as am seriously worried about loss of earnings in real life if Covid hits the fan here. It's creeping ever closer to my town.

TheCanterburyWhales · 02/03/2020 16:15

Forgot to say, IMO Rev and TakeNote are a 'mare. I am a court transcriber/translator as well as a teacher and I definitely know how to do it and do it well. I've failed both several times so they can ODFOD. Grin

AliciaWhiskers · 02/03/2020 16:18

Placemarking. Thanks for the new thread and well done everyone for some great February totals!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 02/03/2020 16:44

Thanks @GachaBread i've just signed up to test io and submitted my first training bug so hopefully it gets approved!

GachaBread · 02/03/2020 16:54

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock fingers crossed for you. Happy to help my £10 a day family! ❤️

TheMamaYo · 02/03/2020 17:19

Anyone else struggling with UTest's website again?

lilmishap · 02/03/2020 17:45

@TheMamaYo Yep

DuchessMinnie · 02/03/2020 17:45

My ex H used my Freetrade link on Sunday. On Sunday evening it said he had signed up but not credited his account. Today all of a sudden I got a new referral link and I can't see anything about his sign-up. Does that mean he paid his £1? Surely I should see a share pending if he has? It would be good to get something out of my ex!

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 02/03/2020 17:48

@DuchessMinnie I had the same thing with Freetrade last week!

AliciaWhiskers · 02/03/2020 17:52

In case any of you want to teach financial skills to your little ones, here's my code for Go Henry. We've used it for about 2 years now and both of my kids are choosing to save at least part of their pocket money instead of spending it on crap very important stuff. If you sign up using the code we both get £10.

PurpleGhost · 02/03/2020 18:05

@GachaBread @Lougle - I signed up to Testlio, how did you find the functional capacity test. I had to redo it a couple of times. I think I was overthinking it. I managed to pass it and now have been invited onto a project, which is good.

I also got an invite from Ping pong, did the screener but don't think I'm going to qualify, but at least it's something.

seizethecuttlefish · 02/03/2020 18:12

Happy March all. Feb wasn't brilliant here but I've been suffering with a horrendous cold for 3 weeks so that's not helped. I'm trying to make enough each week to cover my tax free childcare but I'm struggling to make £131 a week that's taxable.
Like loads of you, I've got tons on Appen that aren't progressing. I got emails to say that I have been accepted to 2 and will get sign on details shortly but nothing seems to be happening. I've had the same with a few Appen projects.
Not sure when the surges are for Crisp but not when I'm about, clearly lol.
Anyway, Feb totals
Crisp £88
Appen £200 (estimating conversion rate)
UTest £3
Clickworker €6.65
Intellizoom £20
Testing Time £55
Team Casino £60

Back to the grind this month. Need to up my Crisp and hoping that some Appen stuff comes off!

GachaBread · 02/03/2020 18:27

@PurpleGhost I actually heard two school mums talking about these websites today in the playground. I have not actually had a go at doing anything like this yet but from what I heard it sounds really interesting.
