Paid 'to do' sites. You can offer normal services on the latter two, or do odd things like sell a video of you clipping your toenails on Fivver.

Have you looked on clickworker under assessments - keep checking back here to see if there are any you can take, this will increase what you get offered, especially after you get UHRS.

Thanks again, Bertie. Perhaps I should just be more patient. Have just had a look on Appen but CV is out of date so think I'll give it a miss! And don't think I'm brainy enough for Lionbridge :(

@AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion, don't get too disheartened. It takes a while to figure everything out. It is a learning curve. I'm still figuring it out. I just check the sites everyday for new stuff and sometimes there's nothing. I can go days with nothing. Very occasionally something decent turns up which boosts the earnings but it's not definite. Most of my good stuff has been through Neevo. Their stuff is straightforward and uncomplicated. More recently as in the last month I've got into Utest. I haven't got work with Appen, Crisp or Lionbridge. I think that's where people make the most money through long term projects. I'm still hanging in there!

@AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion yep it can be a lot of waiting around before anything decent shows up and things can also slow down suddenly. Don't take it personally and don't just rely on one thing.

Has anyone been recruited by Crisp lately? I am still living in hope that they will pull my name out of their virtual hat!

@AStubbornlyPersistentIllusion it's definitely a lot of trial and error. I'm signed up to well over 20 different sites; some of them don't work out at all, some are okay and a small handful I'm doing well on. But different people do well/enjoy different sites - I like the website testing but hate transcription! Don't worry about a decent CV for Appen, I made mine very simple, practically just dates and job titles.

I put a slightly old cv on appen. Nothing bad or wrong in there, I just didn't put any effort into it. However they haven't picked me up for anything :o so maybe that's why?

Do neevo actually email you like they claim or do you have to sit on their site and wait for things to come up? I haven't had a single email from from except for the one saying I'd registered. Or maybe it's a location issue.

I think Appen want the CV to make sure you are real person and not a bot. An old one or an edited template should do.

BertieBotts I received an email from Neevo yesterday, my first since registering last week, inviting me to work on a task.

It was a few hours before I was able to log in as I was out cleaning, but when I did I was able to do nearly 100 of the originally 10,000 tasks available. Think I earned about £3

In other news I owe you a big thank you as it was your response that gave me the push to register for the Win Insider stuff on uTest Sunday evening. I did my first task and have now received an email to say it's been accepted and I am on the 6 week project with further work to come. £10.19 for 45 mins work!Thank you BertieBotts

I've also just checked Clickworkers and I have passed the author test I did on the 24th! 100% on a 150-250 word film review.

Small steps for me but giant leaps for my confidence and belief I can change my situation.

@BertieBotts Neevo like to email me and tell me about tasks....that have already been done. It's annoying as hell. It is luck not skill or judgement when it comes to getting projects from them.

So chat from home just fired me due to 'poor content'

It's a relief to be honest, I was making less than £3 an hour. I received the invoice today and its over £50, when do they usually pay?

Today is a great day for money making here! $100 so far between Appen and UTest.
