Welcome to posters old and new :-)

@GachaBread haha no I wasn't wondering why you can't just log in and sort my jobs, it's just that for example I did four flower ones yesterday (also super easy!) and only the last two I did have been approved, so I did wonder how they get listed for approval in the first place. I'm sure I'll get used to the ins and outs of it soon enough, once these get approved I'll be level 7 - I cannot wait to have some extra time to complete the jobs :)

justtheonethen · 25/01/2020 07:01

@duffed do you mean bookable shifts? Only asking as I have a few months where I'll be able to log in for ppi but not book shifts and I don't want to lose my shift log ins!

GachaBread · 25/01/2020 08:24

@spacepoppers level 7 already you ain't messing around are you!
I don't even know you but I am so happy and proud of you that you are doing this. I really want you to do well. Loving that you stuck with it when so early on I felt that you could have easily gave up with the problems that you had.

I love flower powers too. But not the ones in the garden centres. I prefer when they have them in the supermarkets.

Keep going you will get more jobs. It's hard in the early days to nab them because of the timer but keep ploughing on. I think when you hit level 10 air becomes a lot more easier so you are nearly there

Lougle · 25/01/2020 08:43

Is BeMyEye/Roamler really worth it? I'm quite rural so by the time I drive and park, that 10 minutes is more like an hour, plus parking charges.

Lougle · 25/01/2020 08:59

I have another FreeTrade code. As always, a £1 top up is required to release the shares:

You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s this app you can use to invest for free. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free share - might be Apple or Tesla!
freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=N029HUKO3F&sender=6UH0dZMn

GachaBread · 25/01/2020 09:02

@Lougle those apps are not really good if you live rurally. Their is lots of work though if you live in the city. You could download the apps and see if they have anything but I doubt their would be enough work for you.

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 09:26

Morning all! So I've finally been paid for the isoftstone project. However I had a message to accept or decline payment so I accepted it and now I see there's a handling fee of just over a couple of dollars. I've never had to do this before as the money has been paid straight in with other companies and I've never had to accept payment or been charged a handling fee. Does anyone on here know why this is the case? Thanks.

toastytea · 25/01/2020 09:32

@Catatemyhomework do you mind me asking which isoftstone project? I just failed the last test for search engine one and I'm kicking myself! Took hours to do all the lead up to it. Arghhhhghhbh.

spacepoppers · 25/01/2020 09:35

Thank you so much @GachaBread I'm not sure I would have continued if it hadn't been for all your helpful advice! I'm all in now, and really enjoying it so far...level 20 I'm coming for you ;)
@Lougle it works well for me because I'm in London, I'm not sure a rural location would have enough jobs to make it worthwhile when you take fuel/parking into consideration.

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 09:36

@Howmanysleepsnow Amazon are good for selling your books. Non fiction does better in their second hand market. They have free seller accounts for people who are not businesses. The restriction is you’re only allowed to list 35 books a month.

I sell my books this way and it’s been a good way to have a clear out and get some extra money. I do the shipping myself, buying postage through Amazon.

The downside is it that it does take a while for the payments to come through, so it won’t give you the instant money you need right now, but in a medium term it might be an option because Amazon has a huge market of buyers giving you a good chance to selling your books.

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 09:37

@toastytea, it was for the MBUX project. Is the project you mean the one where you have to read 67 pages of guidance and then use a practice site with 314 hits and then there are 2 tests where you have to score offby accuracy of

margaritasbythesea · 25/01/2020 09:52

Populus Live is a survey site which seems a bit like Pinecone. The surveys are infrequent but well paid. They're usually about 10 minutes long and usually about £3. You can only cash out when you've reached £50 though. I get a cheque about every 6 months.

I thought you have to be invited to join Pinecone? If anyone wants to invite me, feel free!

Another busy weekend for matched betting! Loads of football offers and a great selection of horse offers on this afternoons ITV races!

Loads of money to be made so if you’ve never given matched betting a go why not let this weekend be the one you get started!

Am always around if you have any questions and am happy to help :)

toastytea · 25/01/2020 09:56

@Catatemyhomework yes that exact one!! I did it all within a week because I was worried the job would go. Basically my advice would be to do all the practice hits ( I did the bare minimum). Some of the practice hits come up in the tests (which I only realised towards the end). I scored below 0.4 in the qbank so went ahead and did the final test which is only 7 hits and I bombed it. I got really flustered second guessing myself and it all went downhill. I would also advise making notes on what you get wrong as you go along. I think if you do all the practice hits and make notes as you go, you'll pass! Kicking myself as i spent ages this week working through it all and should have just taken my time. Lesson learned tho eh! Is the one you're on worth applying for? Not got anything else on iss.

BertieBotts · 25/01/2020 09:57

Yes, I'm in a city which I think is why BeMyEye is working well for me. But lots of students here and I think people are pipping me to the

I got confused at their withdrawal time limits and googled it - 15 days between withdrawals when you're on level 1. As you go through the levels you can withdraw more often. I've done 2 biggish tasks and am on level 3 so I don't think it takes too long.

GachaBread · 25/01/2020 10:05

@BertieBotts with BeMyEye the first time you cash out sets your timer to when you can cash out again. As you progress through the levels you will be able to reduce your cash out waiting time. The early levels I think is every 12-15 days. The middle levels every 5 days and when you reach level 18 and above you will be able to cash out every day.

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 10:06

@Lougle how’re you finding Shepper? Is everything within walking distance like they say? The app looks good but I’m less sure they’ll be much work for me, unless they want photos of fields and sheep?!Smile

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 10:07

Oh my ducks, MBUX have paid.

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 10:12

@toastytea, sorry to hear that. It's really frustrating when you spend hours reading the guidance and then do the practice and not pass. I'm too scared to take the plunge! I haven't even got to the Qbank bit yet. I am still on the practice site. It is quite tricky I think as I often get the side right but then can't decide if slightly or better. It does seem like a lot of work, although apparently you get paid $50 for practice if you go on to do the actual project. I have spent hours on it already! The one I've just been paid for was a one off. I think it's finished now as I think that's why I've finally been paid. I did it just before Christmas. I emailed them and they said I'd get paid when the project was completed by all participants, so think it must be finished now. I really need to get on with this isoftstone project, just can't seem to mustre up the level of concentration I need to do it. The timer counting down puts me off too!

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 10:31

@themoneyshed, silly question I know but I have a £10 bonus for BetVictor but has to be used on a treble. Try as I might I can't work out how to use it. This is where MB gets complicated for me!

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 10:35

@Catatemyhomework

Hiya!

Go into acca catcher on profit accumulator or the equivalent on Oddsmonkey and you can build your 3-leg acca (a treble) in seconds and place the bet :)

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 10:37

I'll give it a go. Thanks.

BertieBotts · 25/01/2020 10:53

OK I've done a bit more of the uTest academy. But they only give the cycle invites Mon/Tue/Wed - how frustrating!

I am guessing not having completed practice test cycles is why I'm not being selected for any test cycles.

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 11:04

@Catatemyhomework

My advice is to use all the tools you can!!

Horse refund catchers can make you mega money with just a few pence qualifying loss!

Acca catchers do all the hard work for you! Do around 3-4 accas a weeks over multiple bookies and you’ll grab another £20-£30 free bet a week there is they hit!

Extra place catchers and all that jazz!

They’re all there to make the reloads easier, faster and to make you more money than if you didn’t have access to them :)

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 11:16

@themoneyshed there's an offer on Betfair casino to bet £20 for 100 free spins. Are these worthwhile? And does 'bet' mean it has to be in the casino, on something like roulette or can a bet be in the sports book to count? Thanks.
