@Catatemyhomework

I had the handling fee too. Not complaining too much as the money couldn't have come at a better time, but it's a first for me as well. Maybe it's some kind of tax thing?

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 11:26

@Glittersocks

Can you show me a screenshot of the offer please with the T&C

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 11:28

When you get paid by companies like isoftstone or Lionbridge don’t forget you can claim back those bank / finance charges in your tax return

It’s your money, you earned it, don’t lose it!!

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 11:31

For anyone doing the Lionbridge social media rating work on their phone!!!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!

if you want to cut down on the time it takes to do this each day for the last question use the microphone / dictation button and just say how you feel about the ad!!

this takes so much time off the work!!

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 11:34

@themoneyshed

Sorry, I couldn't get the whole t&cs in the screen shot due to needing to scroll browser, so I've done a copy and paste below. Hope that's ok. Thanks for helping me get my head round this, I find it so confusing at times and get a bit muddled.

Apologies everyone for the very lengthy t&cs copied and pasted above Blush

Starlight2004 · 25/01/2020 11:46

I don't think my freetrade share was used... or at least I've had no notification that it has been so I'm popping it here again if anyone wants to try it.

https://freetrade.io/freeshare/?code=0MD1I7QXZ0&sender=1dNKh4WY
You should sign up to Freetrade! It’s an app for investing in the stock market with no fees. Plus, when you sign up, we both get a free mystery share!

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 11:47

@Glittersocks

That to me sounds like it needs £20 to be wagered on the casino

I would do 20p spins on a casino slot to control the variance while you are doing £20 of wagering you activate the 100 free spins

Tohaveandtohold · 25/01/2020 11:58

My Freetrade link for anyone who needs it and are willing to deposit £1

@themoneyshed, thanks for the tip with regards to using the microphone / dictation button, i never thought of that.

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 12:12

@themoneyshed thanks for your help. It all seems so complicated sometimes but hopefully others can make some use of it too.

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 12:27

@Glittersocks

Earning DECENT money online is all about learning new things and then making money from them!

If you don’t then you just end up sticking with surveys for 50p a pop

Nothing is difficult forever, everything eventually clicks :)

MrsWombat · 25/01/2020 12:36

Appen have some more projects listed for UK people. Variations of Meadow.

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 12:43

@themoneyshed, thanks for your advice about the accas. The problem is that at the moment I don't want to sign up to a subscription with PA or OM yet as haven't made huge profits yet. I know that I will need them further down the line for the trickier stuff but am reluctant to pay out right now. It's a catch 22 though because I don't feel confident to takle advantage of some of the trickier promotions. I'm still working through the signup bonuses, but have had quite a few promotional offers from the ones I'm already with. Mainly accas and casino stuff. Did get a lovely one from WH a couple of days ago which was bet £10 get £10 free bonus. With regard to accas, when I go onto Betfair, they have some preset accas but it doesn't look like I am able to set up my own.

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 12:46

@Catatemyhomework

Ok I have a great solution for you

Both profit accumulator AND Oddsmonkey offer a £1 for 7 day trial so why not do that at least and see how you feel about having full guides for each reloads and more access to more tools to make more money :)

Then you’ve only spent £1 :)

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 13:15

if anyone does do a trial, don't do what I just did and forget to set an auto reminder of when the payment next goes out. I just screwed up there paying out money I didn't want to be paying out Sad

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 13:16

@MrsWombat, I have applied for one of those projects on Appen, but surprise surprise....there's no work yet! Hmm

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 13:17

@Glittersocks, what do you mean they took another £1 or they took the full monthly subscription fee?

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 13:20

Anyone fancy using my link to sign up with Betfair? Here it is:

promos.betfair.com/choose-your-refer-and-earn-offer?referrerCode=C7EWULKDH

Anyone fancy using my code to sign up with Smarkets? Here it is:

fiza751

BTW if you use my code for Smarkets, we both get £10. Smile

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 13:28

@Catatemyhomework it was the monthly sub £17.99 and totally my fault for forgetting. I wanted to try the trial on Oddswhatsit first and then maybe take up themoneyshed's 1/2 price offer but I wasn't decided on anything and needed more time to think about things.

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 13:34

@Glittersocks

What did you think of the profit accumulator service? Would you make more then the £17.99 a month it cost using all the tools and having the offers spoonfed to you each day?

Lougle · 25/01/2020 13:34

@Glittersocks I've been accepted today, buy there is no work in my area, unsurprisingly.

@BertieBotts as long as you have some time in the week, you'll be fine with UTest. I'm signed up for a second academy challenge starting on Monday.

Catatemyhomework · 25/01/2020 13:34

Oh no @Glittersocks, that's not good. Thanks for the warning. I have set up an account with both PA and OM but haven't yet done the subscription. I haven't yet paid the £1 either, but I will now I think. Thanks for the warning. I'm like you and only just starting out. I know one of the subscriptions would probably be really helpful, but I've made about £100 profit so far in MB and don't think it's enough to justify a subscription yet. I am at the end of my week 2 now on Team Profit. The £10 bonus is really hard to get on Smarkets and it relies on your lay bet losing. So far, mine have both won!

Glittersocks · 25/01/2020 14:00

@themoneyshed tbh I felt underwhelmed but that could be because it's all new to me and I probably don't know how to best make use of all the info yet and get full value. I did think the overall feel of it needed updating but the calculators are good and useful.

@Catatemyhomework it should be fine to take up the £1 trials as long as you remember to cancel it the day before they take the subscription. Thanks for the heads up about Smarkets it's good to know what the catch is.

I don't immediately follow through on linked recommendations on MB sites without checking the offers separately myself, because my feeling is that they couldt be affiliate links. I think if I'm paying any kind of subscription then links where someone is also benefitting ought to be made clear. If they're not benefitting that could also be made clear too.
It's easy enough to find bets and offers though.

PolloDePrimavera · 25/01/2020 14:02

Sorry to be a simpleton but am I right in thinking this is how to make £10 a day, not save? I'm in between jobs and just want to work from home so I need to plough through these threads!

themoneyshed · 25/01/2020 14:04

@PolloDePrimavera

Aye it’s make not save :)
