Noticed the last thread was full so thought i'd better start a new one.

Welcome to posters old and new :-)

Doh - see I'm completely not with it - forgot my account is right down to the end of the overdraft and I'm absolutely not using DH's account to do this with. It comes out of my funds only. Good job I realised that before I actually put any money in Blush

Lougle · 26/01/2020 08:11

I'm so happy that after many hours plugging away with UTest, I have woken up to find that I'm Bronze rank after 3 weeks! I've also been able to sign up for a test cycle that was previously full. Top tip, if you get invited to a cycle but all the slots are full, just keep it in your invites list and check back every so often.

MoreMoneyPlease · 26/01/2020 09:16

Well done @Lougle, that's great!

Catatemyhomework · 26/01/2020 09:35

That's brilliant @Lougle, you deserve it. You've worked really hard on there. Well done!

TheMamaYo · 26/01/2020 09:59

I am silly excited about getting the hang of uTest. Signed up last week and did my first invite cycle yesterday. Didn't realise I'm only allowed to do up to 5 bugs though. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will get my rating changed after that.

Taking the plunge with MB. Still rather worried about it.

Pet project got rejected twice in BeMyEye. :-( Who has had success with this? Any tips on getting those photos done right?

somethingdidntgotoplan · 26/01/2020 10:03

Can someone hold my hand and walk me through a match betting process today - tell me exactly what I need to do and where lol

I really need to get the hang of it and I think I understand but I don't want to mess up on my first go!

I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me on my way Smile

themoneyshed · 26/01/2020 10:11

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock

Ok let’s get you started and earning money TODAY with matched betting in 5 easy steps

  1. spend 10 minutes reading our beginners guide to matched betting which covers all the lingo and everything you need to know to get started
    blog.themoneyshed.co.uk/what-is-matched-betting/

  2. sign up to the free trial on profit accumulator
    www.profitaccumulator.co.uk/idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=2093

  3. do the two offers at the start, you’ll make around £45 while having your hand held the entire time with easy to follow instructions and videos for each offer which you said is what you want :)

  4. enjoy the extra money!

  5. continue to enjoy all the extra money!!

BlackCatFan · 26/01/2020 10:44

@somethingdidntgotoplan I feel the same about MB. I want someone to literally sit with me while I go through my first few bets.

themoneyshed · 26/01/2020 11:04

@BlackCatFan

What I’ve posted above is the best way to get started if you want someone to hold you hand

I’m also around here if you have any additional questions but honestly, the hand holding with profit accumulator is spot on for beginners :)

Februarycat · 26/01/2020 11:18

@SimplyBlue Clickworkers pay out once you reach 5 euros, they pay it automatically you don't have to claim it.

PolloDePrimavera · 26/01/2020 11:22

@themoneyshed thank you! I shall plough through all these tomorrow!

Catatemyhomework · 26/01/2020 11:35

@somethingdidntgotoplan, @BlackCatFan, I started MB 2 weeks ago. Honestly I was and still am very cautious. I started with team profit website. It has an excellent beginners guide with some very helpful videos which you can watch and then pause while you do that bit and so on. I started with Coral. Started with football as I found it easiest. Honestly the videos will walk you through that first bet and then you'll get more confident each time. My words of advice are ensure you read the terms and conditions of qualifying for the free bet first. They will have a minimum odds which must be places, e.g. odds of 2 or more. Make sure you have enough in your exchange account to cover liability, you don't lose it by the way because if you lose on the exchange you win at the bookies. Also don't sign up with PayPal as it doesn't qualify you for free bets. I have now made a £145 profit in MB and I am going really slowly as don't want to mess up. Also keep a spreadsheet of your bets. There's a free one in team profit. Good luck. It's quite exciting actually!

Please can someone pm me a free share.

Just waiting to the end of the month to post my progress, frankly a £23 greggs share or £34 sausage share would trounce everything!

Thank you @otterses and @themoneyshed for all the amazing advice and support

Catatemyhomework · 26/01/2020 11:41

Also, I have moved onto horses now as you don't have to wait too long for the race to finish. Horses are really straightforward, but I've found that the odds can change quickly at the exchange so I always get ready to place my bet on both the bookies and exchange together, i.e. both sites open together and when I am ready I check the odds again and if I'm happy I place the bet at the bookies and then at the exchange.

themoneyshed · 26/01/2020 11:46

@Catatemyhomework

Word of advice, go easy or mid week horses as that’s a one way trip to gubbsvile lol

SimplyBlue · 26/01/2020 11:55

Congrats about your utest rating @Lougle!! That's really good! Puts me and my 'unproven' to shame haha.

@BertieBotts when Feb starts I'll get some money and I am going to try MB this time. When people are making so much from it, it seems stupid to not. I keep reading all the guides, going to a betting site and then quickly closing the page because there are just sooo many bets available it feels overwhelming. I will force myself to stay calm and focus on it the next time I can. I can't imagine making that kind of money that some others are!

Catatemyhomework · 26/01/2020 11:57

@themoneyshed, why does betting on horses get you gubbed? I'm worried now. Don't want to get gubbed!

themoneyshed · 26/01/2020 12:12

@Catatemyhomework

They aren’t high profile races.

It’s probably covered in a guide on how to keep your accounts open on team profit (sure it will have one) but betting on low profile horse racing compared to Saturday afternoon Itv races is the equivalent of betting on football games in the 2nd Iranian football league compared to premier league games.

Obviously major horse meetings are fine during the week as they are high profile but betting on random horses on a Wednesday meeting at Great Yarmouth will make you stick out like a big sticky out thing!

Also make sure you use a match catcher type tool when you do bet on horses, your qualifying loss should be around the 10p mark ideally even on a £20-£25 bet :)

Lougle · 26/01/2020 12:13

Arrgh it's just taken me over 2 hours to log a 40 minute test case! I guess that's the difference between self- employment and employment, though. When you're a new employee, your slowness is just something you they to accept. When you're self-employed, your slowness is just something you have to accept! Learning loads though.

Catatemyhomework · 26/01/2020 12:15

Ok @themoneyshed, thanks for the tip. I have been using high profile race courses if that's any help! Grin

SNISR · 26/01/2020 12:32

I hope nobody minds me posting this, but would it be best to have a separate match betting thread?
I think all the match betters would benefit all the information being on one thread rather than scrolling through posts, and for the rest of the people not doing match betting it would free up a lot of posts on this thread as it keeps getting full quickly.

Just a thought. 😊

Glittersocks · 26/01/2020 12:44

Good tips on horses. Thanks @Catatemyhomework and @themoneyshed

In other news, sorry again for my overly long post on page 10 with the cut and paste of some T & C's I was trying to understand. It's far too long, especially if you're scrolling by with a smartphone. I've reported it and asked for a moderator to give an edit. Thanks xx

MrsWombat · 26/01/2020 12:45

Woohoo I've had the first part of the beeb project authorised so along with the beginning bit that's just over £18 and hopefully more to come. Smile

Catatemyhomework · 26/01/2020 12:49

That's great news @MrsWombat, well done. I'm not sure where I'm at with that at the moment. Still trying to report a bug but unable to at the moment.
