Bot-watching into 2020. Hoping it's a good year for all (and the end of MLMs - Hey, a girl can dream!)

The FLP bots are getting older and not as thin as the once were. It isn't us being shallow, FLP don't want them as representing the company.

They want young, pretty, and skinny.

@Orchardgreen - OT - thoughts on CBD? Not the MLM ones, the proper cold pressed certified CBD.
I take a mod strength and I think it’s worked wonders for my back pain? Maybe placebo? Can you see it working into western medicine?

fromdownwest · 21/01/2020 14:42

I expect you are expecting to see ‘hit me up for more info’ after that statement! Grin

Not gonna happen! 😂

Orchardgreen · 21/01/2020 15:22

@fromdownwest

Hmm, I’m actually an anaesthetist but retired. I know little about the formulation of CBD, but there is no doubt that cannabis can be useful in chronic pain. It is also a wonderful anti-emetic, especially with chemotherapy.
I just don’t know enough about CBD to be honest.

It’s the quackery of aloe shite and cider vinegar, honey etc that irritates me.

What really annoys me is people reading things in magazines etc “so it must be true”. Few people actually question what they read. My mother was dreadful. “Mum, why are you buying ground up root of the devil?”
She; “it’s good for you”. Me “who says?” She, “Holland and Barrett”.

I just wish people would question health claims and try to find proper scientific evidence.

Orchardgreen · 21/01/2020 15:27

To go back to your question about it working in Western medicine.....for something to be marketed as a drug, it has to go through endless huge clinical trials, which cost the drug companies huge fortunes. If that drug costs very little to produce, it’s not financially worthwhile. That’s why melatonin, for example, will never get a license, because the profit margins are so low.

I don’t know, but I hope that eventually there will a legal cannabis derived analgesia on the market eventually.

Bluewavescrashing · 21/01/2020 15:33

The FL bots at the launch January training were all wearing very baggy jumpers and leggings, hiding weight gain methinks. They are not so glam now I agree.

JackDelaney · 21/01/2020 15:41

I really wonder how messed up the psychological world of a rep is.....

This rep I follow is such a car crash. She made SUCH a humungous song and dance about this company she joined a few months ago. I'm talking a MASSIVE song and dance about it. It was endless.

Some obscure MLM travel agent (smh). I mean, I'm not Sherlock Holmes or anything but everything about this company looked dodgy AF.

I mean, it's a real red flag to me when you have a really cheap looking presentation, with white boards and those tacky vertical portable signage thingies, in a fancy building. It just looked out of place and scammy. But hey...

She posted about it so much. Showing off about going to this fancy country house to their indoctrination meeting and meeting all the leaders who for some reason she had so much respect for.

She did a live video as she drove up the fancy drive way, showing all her facebook friends how swanky it was.

Then the 20 posts a day....lots of "When" posts......

"When you find the right winning team..."
"When you find the right company to fulfil your dreams...."
"When you find a company who can pay your worth....."
"When you find a professional company with leaders who understand network marketing"
"When you find the perfect comp plan to actually make some proper money"

Blah blah. It was relentless. Lot's of bum kissing posts between teamies and leaders and zoom calls and 'smashing the business' posts....

I swear that this honeymoon period, of business planning and ego stroking, chatting to the leaders and feeling all self-important. This is the part of the process that keeps reps from rinsing and repeating so much.

It just sounded too good to be true...and was the perfect recipe for an absolute nosedive into the murky waters of reality.

Anyways.....you know where this is going. A few months down the line...and along comes the passive aggressive memes and motivational quotes....oh, and more "when" posts.

"When you have to take a step back to take two steps forward"....
"When you have to cut out those people who hold you back in life"
"When you realise your worth but other people don't"

Oh? Things not panning out well with this absolute game changer of an MLM? What a surprise?

Then before the tears had time to dry she suddenly she starts posting about a new MLM travel agent and begins to openly bash the old one....and all the new teamies start flooding her posts with support.

I mean. How does she thinks that this looks to her audience? How can she possibly reconcile the past...her openly bragging about how great this last company was...then totally sh*tting on it and moving onto the next.

Don't they realise that they look absolutely ridiculous moving from MLM to MLM always saying the next one is the 'game changer'.

It just baffles me how delusional these reps are and how stupid they think their audience is.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 21/01/2020 16:41

That's exactly what PhD does too.

Sallysize14 · 21/01/2020 17:23

I bloody loves Yawn I do - it’s a laugh a day.

Today she “can’t cope with how awesome our team is” because FL have bestowed a brown cabin bag on one of the bots............priceless!

nakedavengeragain · 21/01/2020 17:57

I see Broke isn't in Indonesia and has in fact joined bloody RevitalU

SSDGM · 21/01/2020 18:25

Of course he isn’t. I’ll bet he still took the £200 raised though.

Wasn't it £500 with a generous donation from chip shop bot?

leasedaudi · 21/01/2020 19:42

Lol @ the brown suitcase , or "golden" if you're a bit

fromdownwest · 21/01/2020 19:44

Nothing shows how much a company cares than a cheap brown suitcase

Gotmychocolateimgood · 21/01/2020 20:08

I'd love to see a bot with an iconic suitcase at an airport!

Maydayredalert · 21/01/2020 22:18

Is there a difference between how you get the yellow or brown suitcases? Or just luck of the draw?

SSDGM · 21/01/2020 22:48

His target was £500, he got £200, of which chipshopbot donated 25%.

I really fancy some chips now.

Whiterangey · 22/01/2020 00:39

For the botwatcher who thinks they've seen it all.

behindmlm.com/mlm-reviews/jewel-sanitary-napkins-review-graphene-insert-sanitary-pads/

Now you have.

Sforsh49 · 22/01/2020 01:14

I reckon Broke got a new profile and deleted his old one so that he couldn't be called out on his Go Fund Me and people donating money to pay for his trip (sorry I mean Christmas) and not going to Indonesia. But then I'm just a really cynical person!!!

whiskersonkittenss · 22/01/2020 01:20

Are Ann Summers 'reps' classed as MLM bots? I've got one on my Facebook.
I'm 8 months pregnant, I'm not going to fit into anything and I'm not going to buy my dildos via someone I went to school with 20 years ago. She's tried to add me to her sales group 6 times now. Confused

ColdWinterChild · 22/01/2020 06:35

Yes they are, whiskers

Jigsawpuzzle · 22/01/2020 09:38

I wonder if the so called business coaches have been approached by people wanting to set up a bona fide business and the various administration they have to deal with. Fish out of water springs to mind.
I read business coaches as unemployed/unemployable.

hunzuncovered · 22/01/2020 10:42

@Jigsawpuzzle imagine session one being "building your vision board"

JackDelaney · 22/01/2020 12:28

Not being funny but Yawn's latest mentioned "rising star" has absolutely no interaction on her Forever Posts....

She even had to bump one of her own posts selling an excess product at a discount because no one responded to it.

NOTE - I'm not being a troll or a bully or a meanie or anything.

I am perfectly entitled to call out bullshit when I see it. Especially when that bullshit is designed to MISLEAD people into spending money that they might not have spent if they were given the truth.

I am perfectly entitled to call out someone who can knowingly skew the facts in order to paint a false version of reality.

Perhaps I'm wrong! Perhaps this rising star is selling loads and loads of products behind the scenes and making serious money...but lets be real here...tumbleweed on product posts means only one thing. 0 interaction, 0 sales leads, 0 sales, 0 earnings. This baron wasteland of interaction is always the prelude to quitting.

Perhaps she's wobbling and so they're filling her with praise to make it more awkward for her to leave.

Is this Forever Living's latest strategy for retaining distributors? To love bomb their existing victims and squeeze another few months out of them by telling them they're a rising star. Ugh, it's so tacky and patronising.

Grown adults getting off on some fake praise from a washed up MLM con artist. What a world we live in.

It's pathetic and it's false and misleading and it's why people call these MLMs a scam. They present a false view of reality in order to take people's money.

I have no issues calling out LIARS who are trying to CON people.
