So nurse is chasing the the winner of her 'fruits in my Aloe gloop' competition to let her know when she receives her prize.

She hasn't responded. The winner has 'no mlm, stay out of my DMs' on her page!! Sounds like Nurse has given her the hard recruitment sell in exchange for a free Aloe Lips...

CodenameVillanelle · 20/01/2020 08:52

Why would anyone who knows about MLMs have entered nurse's aloe gloop contest anyway? Weird

nakedavengeragain · 20/01/2020 09:37

Quite Villanelle. My theory is she was none the wiser about MLM until innocently entering Nurses comp which it probably turns out is a smokescreen for press ganging activity by Nurse. In the 9 days since the compo the winner has lost her rag with the 'amazing' opportunity to do 'trainings in her PJs' and rues the day she uttered those prophetic words 'raspberry and banana'

Spongebobette · 20/01/2020 09:46

a free lip balm? She's spoiling people

Spongebobette · 20/01/2020 09:49

…...but I can imagine the 'training' that happened a while back

'why not buy a pack of 50 lip balms?!! It will help you with your CCs and you'll have them on hand for competition prizes and to have in your handbag, car, kitchen, bathroom, on your desk at work...a really good way to start a conversation about the business opportunity! '

nakedavengeragain · 20/01/2020 10:16

Well yawn had an exciting 'name this kitchen implement' compo at the same time so it's clear its come from one of their 'trainings'

Same with the running...

hunzuncovered · 20/01/2020 10:37

4 years on I still find those bloody lip balms in the oddest places of my house.

shamrockandroll · 20/01/2020 11:40

To be fair to BFF - I think the breakdown of her marriage also has contributed to the down sizing of her fortunes.

When #Thatchandtat is eventually put up for sale for downsizing purposes, the hope that there will be enough profit in it to pay off HMRC and prehaps keep enough for a deposit on a city centre flat will be realised!

CodenameVillanelle · 20/01/2020 12:55

All nurse's attempts at engagement are yawn's ideas, which she executes really badly. Yawn's post about a teamie losing confidence was definitely about nurse.
Nurse - give it up love. Come on now.

hunzuncovered · 20/01/2020 13:19

I really hope Nurse sees the light and joins this thread and can laugh about it in the future... despite the money she's probably lost.

fromdownwest · 20/01/2020 13:22

Why the empathy for Nurse? She has been shown what a waste of time and money this system is, yet she would happily drag others into it, having first hand experience as to how financially draining it is.

Whiterangey · 20/01/2020 13:58

In my opinion Nurse is a victim, she's been brainwashed and truly believe that not only will she get rich from FLP, but so will anyone she brings in to FLP. That she has yet to make any profit is her fault and not Yawn's fault of that MLM's are shite.

There is nothing anyone can do until she realises herself, or doesn't but stops because she can't afford it anymore, but blames herself for not trying hard enough.

fromdownwest · 20/01/2020 14:09

@whiterangey - does that rationale not apply to all the way to the top of the non pyramid type business?

YouokHun · 20/01/2020 15:22

The trickiest question About MLM is “when does the victim become the perpetrator?”. To my mind Nurse is still a victim and the fork in the road comes at the point she realises she can’t go on because financially it’s killing her. If she then realises that the products are irrelevant but continues to try and recruit or coach others into something she knows hasn’t worked for her and keeps this fact to herself, then she’s a perpetrator. At the moment I think she still thinks she’s in a product sales business. I suspect she’ll just disappear in the end as I don’t think she’s got the inherent moral deficit to carry on or the aptitude for fraud, unlike Yawn. But it’s a blurred line between victim and perpetrator isn’t it?

Re: victim or perpetrator .... (hopefully Dora, hunz or someone else who has seen it from the other side can answer this) ... aren't bots at Nurse's level blatantly told by their upline to lie, to "fake it until they make it", to deceive or to imply success etc ?

In which case I wouldn't say she was a victim!

fromdownwest · 20/01/2020 17:41

She can clearly see first hand she’s not making money retailing, so it ploughing one trying to recruit. She has had two seperate people question the products and business model. Her response was to call down the haters, lock down her profile and focus on recruiting. Sorry, she’s not an innocent god winked victim.

She is actively playing a game for her own financial gains. If she loses it all, then she can’t say she hasn’t been warned.

She oils happily sign up everyone one of us for her own benefit, knowing that she herself can’t make the business work.

Spongebobette · 20/01/2020 17:48

Yup, I used to feel sorry for Nurse but she has had several people gently point out to her that MLMs are dodgy. She has decided to ignore reality. I think she's even convinced herself that she's made some money; every time she sells a product to her mum she counts the profit as income but never thinks about her outgoings.
In her excited live unpacking the other day there was a pitiful amount of products, some of which were for her, and also some leaflets she's ordered (and presumably had to pay for)

JasperRising · 20/01/2020 17:52

Arguably all bots who lose money (even those who were previously successful) are victims of the (mostly) men who found MLM schemes and make a real fortune off them. I'm practice, it is easier to feel sympathy for low level bots who are clearly not selling much let alone recruiting than higher level bots who present a glamorous lifestyle and promise you can live that life too by following simple steps when they must know how many of their former recruits followed those steps and failed.

fromdownwest · 20/01/2020 18:13

So is Yawn a victim? Is Castle a Victim? Is ex-well known store bot who is now insolvent a victim?

They all are trying to grab every last penny from fresh meat before they do go under.

The only difference between the above and Nurse, is she is terrible at it. It is the same functionality, I am not making any money, I know I am not making money, but If I get more people into my downline, then it will benefit me, knowing full well it will impact the person you recruit negatively.

Whiterangey · 20/01/2020 18:18

She has been brainwashed. We can look at what she is doing from a place of logic, she's been totally brainwashed by Yawn to believe she is going to be a success. It may seem bizarre but brainwashing is a very effective tool to get people to believe and do things they otherwise wouldn't do

She's even been brainwashed into getting rid of her friends because they have tried to help her.

She's a brainwashed victim.

hunzuncovered · 20/01/2020 18:24

It wasn't so much fake it til you make it but more embellishments of what's happening.

I do have empathy for nurse but we have to think about what's going on...

She's probably 'lost' friends, although if they're good friends like mine she'll be welcomed back to the real world with open arms. So the one person she can rely on for any kind of friendship is Yawn. Yawn is desperate to be where she was, Nurse is getting time with Yawn despite not really kicking ass in her own biz.

Yawn has her claws in, she whispers in her ear how we've all had to deal with negative people. She's the 'friend' the 'mentor' when nurse can't get time with her friends who avoid her I expect at all costs because they can't stand the fake super positive happy grimace across her face when they KNOW it's not working.

She may well read this and let those doubts creep in but she can't reach out, Yawn is still too close and has too much influence with her fake bullshittery.

hunzuncovered · 20/01/2020 18:29

Castle is not a victim.

She knows it's dropping but still tries to bring people in hoping she'll be back on top one day.

I wouldn't be surprised if FL was helping fund her lifestyle.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 20/01/2020 18:57

I too think Castle has had a leg up from FLHQ which will make her eternally grateful for their generosity. I think she was waved through the qualifying stage for Australia by the men at the top. They have realised that if she remains their poster girl and reels in more victims to sign up, they will profit from her hanging on in there and hoping her luck changes.

From the outside we can see it is going down the pan. Castle must have doubts herself, I know she is deluded and brainwashed but it's clear she's not as successful as she was... The timing of her sister's illness means she can blame her decline on that and not the flawed biz model, rise of awareness of the scam that mlm is etc.

Norma27 · 20/01/2020 19:19

Will bots have had to pay to attend uber's 'training' today at Longbridge manor hq?
