Bot-watching into 2020. Hoping it's a good year for all (and the end of MLMs - Hey, a girl can dream!)

Spongebobette · 16/01/2020 12:01

house reno accounts, par exemple

AntiBotics · 16/01/2020 12:20

Has anyone has tried to recruit any of the yummy mummy/cleaning influencers?

Whiterangey · 16/01/2020 12:29

I bet anyone who is even slightly big on Insta has been contacted by all the MLM's about 5873894789 times.

Castle has the most followers out of all of the forever bots, 25.9k.

20k of those all started following her on the same day, isn't that amazing and not at all dodgy! At some point in October 2017 she gained 20k followers in a single day.

Norma27 · 16/01/2020 13:00

In one of kiki chanel's anti MLM YouTube vids she talked about the spikes in followers.
She is really good to watch, as posted by mlmsuperfan above.b

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 16/01/2020 13:41

Anyone else noticed an increasing trend in bots moving away from facebook over to Instagram and adopting a more "Influencer" style in order to lure in new victims?

Yes definitely.

They're also moving over to doing more "stories". My guess is that because stories are only there for a limited time it means they can't be pulled up on things they've said in the past as the evidence has gone.

fromdownwest · 16/01/2020 13:42

As with real life, outside of the MLM bubble these bots are no body.
They are heralded as kings and queens by their minions, but when exposed to real business and real social media influences, they are made to look as pointless as they are.

FleeBee · 16/01/2020 13:47

I wonder if they worry about their MLM having their plug pulled. From people I know in real life in the following, Stella & Dot, Jamie at home, Jamberry, pampered chef they just vanished one day.
If the likes of FL are declining in the UK would they just stop trading what will the top bots do?

Whiterangey · 16/01/2020 13:55

It's pointless though, what use are 20k 'followers' if they aren't real? Fake profiles aren't going to join your downline. I guess it's to make you look more popular than you already are.

Spongebobette · 16/01/2020 15:30

yes it's all about LOOKING successful and popular; attraction marketing of course!!

Spongebobette · 16/01/2020 15:31

I think Yawn is trolling us btw

Gotmychocolateimgood · 16/01/2020 16:18

You can buy likes and followers on insta, twitter and Facebook. I'm sure that's, what Castle did.

I'm a sole trader on a small scale and run a genuine, pocket money business in my nooks and crannies of time 😁. One of the small business groups I joined for advice on my website actively encourages buying followers. It's just sad and desperate.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 16/01/2020 16:23

Bruv has bought a saucepan.

He still loves his view.

That is all.

Shhhhh223 · 16/01/2020 17:22

Buying followers is a pointless task and it’s pure vanity, it doesn’t bring more awareness or sales as only genuine followers engage

spanfan · 16/01/2020 17:47

@Whiterangey oooh I didn't know that. What a swizz.

BSintolerant · 16/01/2020 17:55

Has Bruv got a hob to go with his new saucepan?

What a time to be alive! 😂

Tupperwarelid · 16/01/2020 18:00

Bruv has got a lovely hob so far untouched by human feet Grin

Gotmychocolateimgood · 16/01/2020 18:46

Haha, yes indeed, he was very sensibly standing in front of the hob and not on it! Lesson learned there, Eagles team.

Whiterangey · 16/01/2020 19:08

Dearest Yawn,

No matter how many times you tell the world that business is booming and you are getting thinner, it doesn't mean it is true.

See your bank balance and £190k directors loan debt, and the number on the scales for further details.

Given it's been years since you've received one, I trust you may find this link useful when at the Global Rally in Australia, it may help you understand what those big rectangular things people who aren't you are holding. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheque

JasperRising · 16/01/2020 20:06

Urgh. Forever Living have bagged a professional footballer as a brand ambassador (to go with their ex rugby player and ballroom dancer)

CheekySmile · 16/01/2020 20:15

If they knew anything about social media marketing they’d know that buying followers hurts your business page.

Engagement is everything. Facebook shows your post to a small group of your followers, if they engage then it gets shown to more and so on. If you have followers that don’t engage with you then your posts don’t get pushed out to many of them at all. Why would you reduce your chances of people seeing your posts just for the vanity of saying you have XXX followers? Or is that’s what’s taught during their ‘training’ sessions?

CodenameVillanelle · 16/01/2020 20:54

So I found sackedbot's new FM upline on Facebook. She's posted a pic of a card she received for making jasper star, with what appears to be the face of a stranger who has a developmental disorder on it. I don't get it. I think it's from a gif, as she posted it in the comments - but why is it printed on the card? She also says further down that she wants to get his face printed on a towel, but from posts doesn't seem to know him beyond the pisstaking gif. I'm pretty disgusted by it.

Whiterangey · 16/01/2020 21:17

Just found that, just when you think the bottom has been reached, a bot shows you they can go even lower.

That is disgusting, al of her minions are joining in as well.

fromdownwest · 16/01/2020 21:19

Has she really got a £190k directors loan?

I literally could not sleep at night with that hanging over me, that is terrifying.

Whiterangey · 16/01/2020 21:27

Well it's actually only £189,175 so I was exaggerating a little.
