With clickworker, every time I click on the Pinterest jobs, it says it's full. How is everyone getting the Pinterest jobs?

SNISR · 25/09/2019 09:15

@BeeMyBaby I'm going to try take note. How long does it take from application to getting your hands on a project? Also, what is the pay like?

Frenchdoors1 · 25/09/2019 09:32

@SNISR
Same with me with Clickworker, and many others I believe.
A PP said on here the other day that it is the luck of the draw and to keep trying and trying until a place comes up.
But that is very time consuming. I have got on about 4 times since I started on Sunday afternoon.

BeeMyBaby · 25/09/2019 09:52

@SNISR it took under two weeks, and most of the second week was me faffing with my computer turning on internet safety features in windows 10 (like bitlocker) so my computer is deemed safe from viruses etc so that I can be trusted with their files.
The pay for me is not great as I'm not fast at typing, (absolute max 70wpm after doing many hours of transcription), I am using a compact keyboard as well which means you can't use the f keys, and for some reason the best transcription software they offer didnt work with my computer (it also isn't fully compatible with macs so couldnt use DHs computer either). Anyway, it works it at £4-5 ph for me. The basic pay for 1audio minute 1-3 speaker is 45p I think, which compared to places like transcribeme (33cents only!), so about double. Plus you get it in larger chunks which means s they will talk about the same topic throughout so it's easier to understand what they're on about/their accents, compared with doing tiny files like other transcription services offer, plus they actually take a breath normally. They also offer bits and pieces of work via email at the 'admin' rate of over £8ph if you are adding timecodes into a file or speaker IDs if someone else has missed them out.

Moremoneyplease · 25/09/2019 10:05

Is anyone using the Clickworker app or just on pc? I'm trying both but still no luck getting onto any jobs!

Frenchdoors1 · 25/09/2019 10:46

@Moremoneyplease

I used the app on the phone and my screen isn't the massive type so I struggled to see.
I always use my laptop now.
Regarding using either though, it doesn't matter if there are tasks available.

Frenchdoors1 · 25/09/2019 10:48

@Moremoneyplease

It is very time consuming to keep checking too, especially when there's other things to be doing, plus you've got to shop, eat, wash, housework etc.

Elmosonfire · 25/09/2019 11:07

I’ve been offered Atascadero on Appen but now slightly regret going for it! Has anyone done this project? I haven’t started yet but just signed the documents. Can you still back out?!!

SNISR · 25/09/2019 11:57

Thank you for the info @BeeMyBaby @Frenchdoors1

Has anyone worked for sense before? It's like a work from home call centre jobs for like bupa etc

Frenchdoors1 · 25/09/2019 12:13
  • @Elmosonfire* I'm still waiting to hear back from appen to even do any tasks, I'm still in progress mode so can't help I'm afraid.

@SNISR

No, I haven't heard of Sense but hopefully someone will have.
That sounds OK too.

Allotmentgarden · 25/09/2019 12:56

Just found this thread- thank you for all the inspiration. Signed up to cloud workers, click workers, a couple survey sites and just got 19 on crisp (3rd time lucky) but not hopeful I will hear anytime soon. Really hope I can earn a little from some of these.

rhij86 · 25/09/2019 13:23

@Elmosonfire I've been accepted for Atascadero too, but not had anything more? I had an email in the early hours of yesterday morning saying I was accepted and to check the job info online. Online it says I'll get an email with task project details... but nothing. Any ideas? I've tried contacting support but not heard back.

rhij86 · 25/09/2019 13:25

I've also filled out the survey for noyo TWICE now, but the project has not updated on appen. Am I doing something wrong?! Support just said if I had completed the work, the project would update on my dashboard.

Elmosonfire · 25/09/2019 13:43

@rhij86 oh that’s interesting. I haven’t done anything for them before so my email told me to log and sign paperwork. I’ve done that and had an email telling me to wait to here once they’re happy paperwork is sorted. I am not holding my breath on this but previous posters seem to have done well with them so I don’t know? Not great that support haven’t got back to you.

BlackCatFan · 25/09/2019 13:57

@SNISR do you mean Sensee? Yes, my friend worked for them for a while, had no issues, the only reason she left was because she decided call centre work wasn't for her. You need a PC setup and ideally a home office.. I only have a laptop at the mo, otherwise I'd apply

rhij86 · 25/09/2019 13:59

@Elmosonfire ah that's just the standard contract paperwork for Appen :) it took a couple of hours for them to approve me once I did that. Let me know if you get anything more through for Atascadero once they've ok'd your paperwork - if you get extra info through I'll message support again

BlackCatFan · 25/09/2019 13:59

I'm going to attempt the Take Note test again this week. Found it very difficult the first time I tried.

seizethecuttlefish · 25/09/2019 14:25

Afternoon all. Hope Wednesday is treating you well? It's been a rubbish month. Haven't got anything happening but nearly finished the voice recordings. That'll probably be next month before it comes in. I applied for a couple of projects on LionBridge. Failed one test and didn't get considered for the social media role I applied for. Does anyone know if you fail a test (which I spent a week studying for!) that affects future applications?

OP posts:
SNISR · 25/09/2019 14:55

@BlackCatFan yes that's what's holding me back from applying, I have a laptop not a desk top.

margaritasbythesea · 25/09/2019 19:12

I fell off the thread! Just jumping back on.

pisspants · 25/09/2019 23:43

oh God my Nile got audited! Has anyone else had that on an Appen project. I have to be more particular in my comments. Do you know if it's a warning? how many chances you get Appen people? I wrote more today, really hoping it's ok. And also that I will be paid for it all.

margaritasbythesea · 25/09/2019 23:54

I've had that. Don't worry . Just follow the comments. I'm not sure they want more written . I think they just want you to think as yourself, and not to try and generalise.

SNISR · 26/09/2019 07:06

I downloaded the click worker app yesterday and all I get is loading. Is it like that for everyone else too?

Frenchdoors1 · 26/09/2019 07:24

@SNISR
It takes ages to load on the app for me too.

TheFishingTrip2019 · 26/09/2019 09:00

Hi all
I’ve been lurking for a while, since at least the August thread. I’ve been slowly reading and joining all the sites I can!

I’ve had the most success with swagbucks, well on my way to £10 amazon gift card this month. If anyone hasn’t joined yet I really recommend and would be really grateful if you could use my referral:

www.swagbucks.com/p/register?rb=56174758

I’ve also been doing clickworker, one poll, Qmee and probably a few others! It is time consuming though but I figure I’m sat in front of the tv anyway so I may as well do something during that time!
