Finally finished my isoftstone recordings- accidentally did too many as it doesn't stop you at 3500 Confused

0htooooodles · 26/09/2019 13:57

Just got my email from crisp with combat mod login information! I'm so excited! Also pleased that I've been doing ok, phew 🙈

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 26/09/2019 14:15

Great news @0htooooodles, well done.

I've just signed up for a monese account to keep all my payments etc together. If someone uses my code we both get £15 when you make a transaction.

Get a £15 welcome gift when you open a Monese account and do the first transaction with the Monese Card. Just use JENNI517. Download the Monese app here: monese.app.link/i3XIzF1ui0?invite=JENNI517

Can I ask a question - mainly out of curiosity/boredom - absolutely no need to answer!

What do you do with your extra earnings? Savings/treats/normal bills/debts etc?

And if it goes into the 'normal' pot to be spent, do you just drip feed it in as you receive it, or let it build up for a bit first before adding it as a lump sum?

As I said, I'm just curious. I've set up a separate pot on my banking app and anything I get from this stuff will go in there. I'm hoping to be able to use it to clear down debts quicker, then save - but we are down to 1 wage (mine) for the next few months so i it's needed for bills obviously I'll move it across. I'd like to let it build up until maybe the end of October, then use half of what's in there and keeping half as a buffer for emergencies iyswim?

Otterses · 26/09/2019 15:27

@rhij86

At the moment, it's for living/
bills. After being made redundant then relocating, I've had to take a huge salary cut. So it's helping us get by at the moment. Initially, the plan was it would go into savings! It disappoints me, but I try not to beat myself up too much about it.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 26/09/2019 15:37

@rhij86
I had to give up my job as it wasn't working with my Autistic son. I now only work 7 hours a week so i count these extra earnings as my income.
We can get by on DH's wages though so i either use it for treats or put into holiday savings etc.

justtheonethen · 26/09/2019 15:59

@0htooooodles fantastic, well done! The shifts are a great way to guarantee money. I do find them more taxing than the normal though.

@rhij86 I mainly earn from crisp so I get paid it all in one go, it goes towards everyday stuff- I don't want to go back to work after having my daughter- but has also meant I can afford my next ivf and a lovely holiday!

0htooooodles · 26/09/2019 16:04

@justtheonethen thanks! i'm excited, but slightly nervous...it looks a lot..especially when i'm use to just doing mod!

@rhij86 i only earn from crisp, and it allows me to work from home so i can spend more time with my kids, and not worry about childcare!

0hmygoodness · 26/09/2019 16:15

well done @justtheonethen
Am nearly halfway and struggling. It's just so boring to do! Grin
Will keep on ploughing on...

Madre77 · 26/09/2019 16:25

Hi
I've been watching this post for a while now, doing my research and signing up. I have been accepted to cloudworker and as a adult call handler. Was hoping for more Appen and crisp but am getting nothing.
I am a single parent and have made been made redundant. I presently rely on benefits with limited childcare and am in between jobs. Until I secure another one I want to earn as much as I can legally. For all those who have become self employed or on benefits how do you name the more savoury companies? What about payslips? Please help.

Pm me if you don't want to post.

ThanksSmileSmileSmile

GachaBread · 26/09/2019 17:05

@Madre77 how long from submitting your documents to cloudworkers did it take to officially starting the role. I submitted my documents on Monday just gone and have not heard nothing since.

GachaBread · 26/09/2019 17:07

@Madre77 you could always try Sensee, Take Note and Rev. These companies are quite good for work at home jobs.

BlackCatFan · 26/09/2019 17:16

Well done @0htooooodles How long have you been doing Crisp for? I'm hoping to be offered shifts but only started in June so probably still considered a newbie.

Madre77 · 26/09/2019 17:22

Yes I know about sender etc but is need to buy equipment I've already checked.
I applied for cloudworker in May and I bottled it but all responses were done in days. I applied again 1st september. Now its weeks so its taken all month to get the paperwork so they must be inundated.

justtheonethen · 26/09/2019 17:40

@BlackCatFan I started in May and got offered shifts start of July so might not be long! 🤞🏻

0htooooodles · 26/09/2019 17:40

@BlackCatFan I started in May, so you shouldn't be too far off

VeniceBeach · 26/09/2019 17:48

@rhij86

Good question! I was unemployed for a while so was using the money for any necessary spending. I left most of the money in my PayPal account as I liked seeing it all add up in one place and I could have money come out of that rather than my ‘proper’ bank account money when online shopping!

I’ve been working part time for a short while now so I opened a Monzo account and transferred all the money I had left in PayPal into a Monzo pot that I’m using to build up longer term savings.

Now I’ve just got a full time job I’ll be doing less online work but I plan to keep up Appen and have the £250 or so a month from that as my ‘spending money’. Smile

m00rfarm · 26/09/2019 18:15

@BlackCatFan - how much are you doing each month roughly - I am not sure whether I am doing enough to warrant moving up to the next level.

BlackCatFan · 26/09/2019 18:31

@m00rfarm last month I earned £200, this month I'm up to £350, (I've done approximately 4 hours per day but did go on holiday for one week) but I'm between jobs at the moment so I'm planning on doing crisp "full" time next month.. sometimes I think I'm doing really well and other times I have a complete crisis of confidence! (Like today) I think the pressure has ramped up slightly with being unemployed and all.... 😥

m00rfarm · 26/09/2019 18:48

I’m only managing 2 hours per day max. So between 5-20 most days. I need to try harder. I’m finding it all ok apart from the vaping ones!

seizethecuttlefish · 26/09/2019 21:14

Isoftstone question. Has anyone had their recordings checked yet? Just curious on the pass rate, as you need 3000 accepted to pass.

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 26/09/2019 21:59

They have started checking mine and out of 604 I have failed 7- all welsh ones 🤣

justtheonethen · 26/09/2019 22:00

Not seen anything that says you need 3000 to pass though, just that you need to do between 3000-3500 and failed ones won't be paid.

justtheonethen · 26/09/2019 22:00

Will let you know though as I've finished mine.

seizethecuttlefish · 26/09/2019 22:50

My email says you'll be paid if you have over 3000 passed. I'm a bit worried, I couldn't be bothered with that last lot!
