20 companies being investigated would be the beginning of the end for MLM. I'd love laws passed here to make MLM's illegal, but if the FTC banned them that would solve the majority of the problem as most are in the US.
Obviously we would all love to see FLP get investigated, but they are actually not a big player, especially in the US. I would love to see Mary Kay go down, along with Younique, but they are doing that themselves. Young Living and Doterra would be good. All of them would be good.
I looked up the two couples who were the subject of action by the FTC who were in Advocare. Both of the women are into loving Jesus in a huge way, all about church, all the Jesus is great and it's all up to him kind of thing. Really really strong religion and using that to connect to other women.
I've read the bible and I don't remember reading about Jesus being part of an MLM, it doesn't really match up to what he was about. He healed the sick, but he didn't use aloe shite or essential oils. Scamming vulnerable women out of money is about as far away from the teachings of Jesus as you can possibly get.
Unless, the telling of Jesus feeding the 5000 was wrong. Everyone had to buy 7 loaves and 5 fishes from him, and then they could eat some, and find others to sell 7 loaves and 5 fishes to.
There is a Keren in the bible as well, who must have evolved into the Karen we all know and love today.
