Who's going to let nurse know that what she sells is not handmade or local and she is not self employed but an unpaid sales rep. Also there's a bloody big company that does a massive jig when yet another bot signs up and blackmails all their friends and family.

fromdownwest · 30/09/2019 10:23

I see the low act of donating the 'profit' to Cancer Research is back in trend.

Imagine if those people donated the full £20 plus gift aid to the charity directly and not £2.83 to the charity to help cure cancer and £20 to a US based MLM scheme.

It truly is shocking, even more so when you see the people who are doing this..

Whiterangey · 30/09/2019 11:03

I shaved my head for a cancer charity, my hair was over halfway down my back. Should have just donated £3 of the £2500 I raised.

Any amount is a good amount to donate, even if it's £1. The problem occurs when you are doing it to sell your shite and get cc's, and don't give a shit about the charity.

A macmillan coffee morning is just an excuse to try and sell your shite and recruit. It makes me feel sick, that is the lowest of the low. It really is so vile that I cannot comprehend doing that.

Apart from my head shave, my charity giving is never done with a fanfare. I have two charities I donate regularly to, and anothers who I will donate occasionally to. The only time I advertise my donation is when sharing something on facebook, gofundmes are a good example, if someone needs money urgently i'll donate and give a share. I'm guessing the same as other normal people.

I do recommend the whole charity head shave thing. You will never regret shaving your head, apart from being mistaken a couple of times for someone undergoing chemo until it grew enough, there were zero negatives. People donate a lot of money as well, thought i'd raise a couple of hundred, I literally fell to the floor when I found out how much i'd raised.

Now who wants to buy my lotion for newly shaved heads? I make £6 billion a week and am looking for new recruits who can earn between £50 million and £7 trillion a day.

I can see people I know getting sucked into Monat. 🙄

Hi all, I was on these threads / a long time lurker back in 2016 on here (remember Maelle?!) and have just rediscovered the joys of MN after a long break.

Anyway, I had to ask one of the kind MNers on here for a hint with PhD (thanks again!) and whilst I was going through my inbox I saw messages from back then where I needed hints for two bots called 'Original' and 'Traitor'. Turns out they are still active and on this thread... = Uber and Bacon!

Not exactly surprised tbh. Bit sad though isn't it when you think of how much money they must've taken off other people in those three years...

I've got a middle-high Younique bot in my associate group. Went to London and Amsterdam and is heading off to somewhere exotic next year too. She's really pushing this new spray foundation at the moment.

Hunbot · 30/09/2019 16:09

Tried to watch phd's live. I can't do it. She is so bloomin boring. I have tried many a time but can't get passed 3 or 4 mins of absolute claptrap and waffle. Never have so many words meant so little

ticktock19 · 30/09/2019 17:01

Another BBC 1 anti MLM programme is on tonight at 7.30pm for the south (programme is Inside Out South) or on iPlayer afterwards- attached is the Daily Mail ( 😩 ) article about it. There is a link to the original BBC news article which the Mail has obviously picked the story up from..
I'm guessing the MLM was probably Inteletravel, which is interesting as a bot I follow is strongly hinting that she's wanting to sign up after losing her most recent holiday through the Thomas Cook crash.

Newly wed claims she was scammed out of £5k and her dream honeymoon

One of my uplines told us to do Macmillan cancer coffee mornings and buy extra stock that we sold there and then in an auction style starting at just below what we paid for the stock and pointed out that if "we only have 10p profit to donate then it's still worth doing as we have the CC". She also said if we didn't make a profit to just donate a small amount of money so we could screenshot the 'Thank you for your donation page as proof and then fabricate the donation amount. She told us how she did a coffee morning and noone came but she made it look like people came by using pictures of a team training session of the back and sides of people's heads. She then bragged how she donated 10% of her monthly bonus anyway (which I guess is not a bad thing) but made those who had then bought extra stock feel inferior as they couldn't afford to donate money too. My upline later told me how this particular bot had told her in confidence that when she received a bonus cheque for £4000, she didnt donate 10% as £400 but rather took off the money she spent to buy stock for her coffee morning and her personal use plus her other expenses that month to come up with a net wage for the month and then donated 10% of that which was about £120. This was one of those lightbulb moments you try to ignore too and justify even though deepdown you know it's wrong and misleading.

Whiterangey · 30/09/2019 20:36

I've read that three times now, it doesn't get any less disgusting the more you read it.

Though there is something VERY interesting in there.

"My upline later told me how this particular bot had told her in confidence that when she received a bonus cheque for £4000, she didnt donate 10% as £400 but rather took off the money she spent to buy stock for her coffee morning and her personal use plus her other expenses that month to come up with a net wage for the month and then donated 10% of that which was about £120."

Once you've finished throwing up at how disgusting that bot is, they got a bonus cheque that month for £4000, which is a nice amount. By the time all their expenses were taken out for the month, they only had £1200 left. That was likely before tax and other expenses they hadn't counted.

So a £4000 a month wage turns out to have three quarters of it taken out as expenses, most of those expenses would be product buying. That is very interesting and gives us a glimpse of how much they are really making.

CodenameVillanelle · 30/09/2019 22:14

So nurse is asking people to buy her aloe shite deodorant to raise awareness of breast cancer. Only I think she forgot to mention the donation to a breast cancer charity that she will make for every purchase! Because at the moment it looks like the only awareness you will be raising is your own, every time you put on your expensive useless deodorant.
Also she's still hanging on that spurious and debunked aluminium in deodorant cancer scare to make sales. Why are they so shit?

Ajgee · 30/09/2019 23:38

I think the story on Inside Out was just an individual fraudster/ Ponzi scheme, not an MLM.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-49830335

I'm in no way defending Inteletravel/MLMs though.

Spongebobette · 01/10/2019 00:23

Hey Nurse I’m not sure I want to ‘SUPPORT BREAST CANCER’

SSDGM · 01/10/2019 05:51

Has Broke been kicked off FB again or has he blocked my sock account?

MLMsuperfan · 01/10/2019 06:57

Broke's not there for me either.

nakedavengeragain · 01/10/2019 09:26

Nurses dodgy deodorant post has been zapped. I'm imagining someone's gone apeshit about it to her.

The other post saying 'many people ask me how I make money with Forever' and which relies on you having 30 people who want to take 'ARGI' every month which makes you (less than minimum wage) £600 a month...is still up there.

I doubt there's more than 30 people taking 'ARGI' in the whole of the UK never mind in Nurse's swiftly dwindling population of friends.

fromdownwest · 01/10/2019 09:43

She is just a representation of the many, she happens to be on the radar. However, there are thousands of her around the country.

Failing miserably at 'running' their own business. No awareness of marketing skills, never following through, dipping in and out and an overall amateurish approach.

She must be losing money hand over fist, as must many other women.

It reminds me of when children like to 'play shop'.

Spongebobette · 01/10/2019 10:27

yes yes, that's it precisely, they are 'playing shop'!!

thetemptationofchocolate · 01/10/2019 11:36

Also no-one in MLM is running their own business, apart from the overall owners. No matter how high up you might climb it will still not be your own business. Ever.
Bots might be wise to keep in mind what can happen if you become a nuisance to the parent company.

Spongebobette · 01/10/2019 12:46

Nurse is on Insta saying the ‘team’ (Yawn) is aiming to raise 1k for Macmillan by donating profits from selling deodorant

Bloody check of them! They’ll get the CCs! It’s not a generous or altruistic thing at all!!

Spongebobette · 01/10/2019 12:46

*cheek

Gotmychocolateimgood · 01/10/2019 14:24

Castle hasn't been using her planner, tut tut! She's flying out tomorrow to Florida, business class dontcha know, and booked it a day late. Never mind though, all her lovely friends will send her videos of the content and there's a further 3 days of training at Top Earners' Club.

Someone is obviously cashing in on the waffly training!

Gotmychocolateimgood · 01/10/2019 14:29

Info on top Earners' Club here. Looks scammy for a supposedly premium, luxury outfit.

Gotmychocolateimgood · 01/10/2019 14:30

Gotmychocolateimgood · 01/10/2019 14:32

Argh sorry go.topearner.com/rank-makers-live-premier-event

Gotmychocolateimgood · 01/10/2019 14:37

This is what Castle will be taught in her 4 day training (one day if which she is missing due to booking flight on wrong day).

Standard tickets are just under 500 dollars, VIP and super VIP are sold out. I bet she's gone for super VIP, will be much more expensive. Plus hotel, food etc. No idea how much return business flights to Florida cost but, loads.

What is she thinking???
