@SpirallingThroughAnotherDay mine was the next day. I got an email with docs to fill in. Sent them back and within 24hrs had a reply. It took longer to get training booked in, as I need it to be evenings. Might be worth emailing the contact that sent you the docs. That seems a long time.

anxiouswaiting · 05/08/2019 16:24

Anyone who has been doing Crisp for a while and got some wrong have they deducted money from you? On the wiki it says you get points for getting things wrong and these points equal deduction in your pay.

I got 4 things wrong the other day - the same tweet had been retweeted and I marked the no risk when apparantly they were PR ( I didn't think they fit the PR category but they say it does so meh). Anyway this works out to 24 points, which according to the wiki means I would lose 120 minutes of pay.

Well considering I am making about £3 an hour at the moment but they say pay works out to about £10 an hour they are going to deduct £20 by my calculations, but that £20 will have taken me almost 12 hours to earn which is a bit scary. I've managed £28 this month but looks like I might only see £8 of that and that's providing I don't get any more wrong.

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 05/08/2019 16:26

@seizethecuttlefish thank you! I was starting to think it shouldn't be taking this long, I've sent an email over to chase it up Smile

anxiouswaiting · 05/08/2019 16:40
  • 7 hours not 12, but it's still pretty poo if I lose that much
m00rfarm · 05/08/2019 16:41

@anxiouswaiting - how do you know you got something wrong. I KNOW I must have got something wrong by now, but no feedback telling me about it.

Otterses · 05/08/2019 16:49

@anxiouswaiting

I have never in the history of ever had my money knocked down for a mistake! Double check with the shift manager though, and don't panic Smile

@m00rfarm

No Grin you are an amazing moderator/genius. But I'm sure you'll get a wrist slap one day!

@Otterses - I just want someone to tell me what I am doing wrong, otherwise I will just continue to do it wrong!

Otterses · 05/08/2019 16:56

@m00rfarm

Grin right, honestly, if you are doing something wrong they will tell you. If you're in any doubt at all, just message the shift supervisor. They're incredibly friendly, have heaps of useful advice, and are nowhere near as terrifying as they seem in your imagination.

They'll let you know if something is wrong on Slack.

It's totally normal to feel like you do while you're building confidence up

anxiouswaiting · 05/08/2019 17:13

@m00rfarm yes at Otterses they let you know if you got something wrong, I got a message on slack letting me know I had made the 4 errors.

@Otterses hopefully I am reading it wrong, I'll send them an e-mail and check

BeeMyBaby · 05/08/2019 18:12

@anxiouswaiting I was really nervous on my first month too and made a bunch of mistakes and was worried that they would dock my pay but they didn't knock anything off. They are really nice and reasonable and the pay thing is obviously at their discretion, I made a double mistake over the same item once (different questions were asked) and they just corrected me and I learned from my mistake.

Ugh sorry I posted that a million times, it kept saying it was unsuccessful but I should have refreshed to check.

Otterses · 06/08/2019 08:27

@BeeMyBaby

Happens to me all the time! Don't worry about it :)

@ChubRubTub

Have you moved onto the reload offers? Shall we try a bit harder together? I've just resigned up with PA with a 7 day access for £1. The reloads look quite simple. I guess an average of £3.50-£4 Profit. But even if we do one a day that's still £108 Smile

@ChubRubTub definitely not alone. No sign of crisp or Modsquad and have 13 projects in progress on Appen! Grin

ChubRubTub · 06/08/2019 09:11

@Otterses sounds good! Would I be able to get the PA offer as well.

@DontCallMeDarling I haven't had the nerve to apply to ModSquad, their website scares me. I think I'm too old for all that enthusiasm!

Sunshine1239 · 06/08/2019 09:24

Sorry totally new to these threads, what is crisp?!

justtheonethen · 06/08/2019 09:29

@Sunshine1239 have a look at the first post for a description of everything.

@Otterses starting to get the hang of crisp and really speeding up. Feel weird overwhelming urge to say thank you! Didn't think a viable work from home solution was possible and without this thread I wouldn't have found one. Thank you to you (and everyone else) for support, ideas, suggestions and hope! X
