So fletcher has been extended. Feel slightly annoyed as I abandoned thinking I wouldn't complete in time. Do I want to start again? 🤔 I think I will!

Wolfff · 06/08/2019 16:57

There's a new micro project on Appen connect if anyone is interested, for those with smart phones or tablets (image collection).

seizethecuttlefish · 06/08/2019 17:16

I'm signed up for my shifts on cloudworkers. Trying to figure out how I fit it all in! 12 hours suddenly seems a lot!

Zebrimid · 06/08/2019 18:17

I've been lurking these threads for months and finally took the plunge last week
Signed up to appen but haven't been accepted for any tasks yet they're all just in progress.
Signed up to crisp but just on the wait list thing, desperate to get that one though!
Signed up to rev for transcribing but I haven't done a paid for one yet as I'm waiting on amazon to bring some earphones!
And taught some English classes via an app (palfish) this morning so I've made £16 with that!
Feeling really positive Smile thanks all for all your links over the threads!

Otterses · 06/08/2019 18:35

@toastytea

Fletcher has been ongoing for about three months 😂 the daily threat of it ending makes my laugh.

Ohhhhh @Zebrimid ! Tell us more about this app.

@Zebrimid well done! I failed the Rev test.. seems pretty difficult. I've heard Palfish is a good earner. Tempted to give it a go, not done anything like that before though....

BlackCatFan · 06/08/2019 18:41

Ooh I'm itching to get my first Crisp earnings statement.. I'm dying to know how much I earned last month. Fingers crossed we get it by Friday.

MrsWombat · 06/08/2019 18:42

Thanks @Wolfff I've just signed up to that one on Appen. Fingers crossed.

I did the Atascadero one-off project. It was very easy. They wanted a minimum of 100 entries. I gave then 500. Wasn't going to scroll back further as I've had my for about 18 months so lots of entries. That was back to April. Just waiting for it to appear on my invoice.

BlackCatFan · 06/08/2019 18:44

@whatthewhatthewhat glad to hear you're speeding up on Crisp .. I am too. I did two hours on Sunday and earned £20. Was very pleased! Maybe Sunday is a good day for it.

Zebrimid · 06/08/2019 18:44

Tempted to give it a go, not done anything like that before though....
If you do take the test for the children's course (it's really easy) it's better paid and you don't have to think of anything, you just follow the lesson plan and slides, you are basically a paid actor/kids entertainer!

Zebrimid · 06/08/2019 18:48

Ohhhhh @Zebrimid ! Tell us more about this app
You teach English to chinese students, I chose to take the children's course test, you get paid 6.44 for a 25 minute class, the class is just one student and you basically just follow the slides. You're both on camera and you take them through slides like this

@BlackCatFan

That's fabulous news Smile

m00rfarm · 06/08/2019 19:35

@BlackCatFan - how on earth can you do £20 in two hours! I cannot get them to stream through fast enough for that. I seem to be sitting and waiting forever ... I am doing £5 per hour roughly but at least 50% is waiting.

whatthewhatthewhat · 06/08/2019 19:55

@BlackCatFan excellent! Me too! The rate was very good on Sunday!

whatthewhatthewhat · 06/08/2019 19:56

@m00rfarm make sure you e got two tabs open at once do you can flit between them. There is a tips and hints type video on the site that's well worth watching!

BlackCatFan · 06/08/2019 20:23

@whatthewhatthewhat Do you mean one tab or mod and one for monitoring?? Interesting.....

BlackCatFan · 06/08/2019 20:24

@m00rfarm Sunday was a particularly good day and there weren't very many folks on I don't think.... I'm normally averaging about £5 per hour. On Saturday it was so slow it ground to a halt.

BlackCatFan · 06/08/2019 20:24

One tab *for Mod.

smurfmonkey · 06/08/2019 20:29

You can have two tabs open with Mod2 on both or one with Mod2 one with Monitoring, or two with Monitoring. Take ya pick!

BlackCatFan · 06/08/2019 21:31

@smurfmonkey that's a useful tip! thanks

m00rfarm · 06/08/2019 22:11

I was "moderated" tonight on Crisp (which is a bit of a relief to be honest!) - at least someone is checking what I am doing! Even with two open I was getting time delays - managed to do about £8 in one hour so getting better.

ShinyButtons · 06/08/2019 22:29

I'm still quite slow on crisp and keep over thinking things. They are really are nice with all the emails I've sent about the stuff I was unsure on though.

@m00rfarm did they tell you afterwards that they were moderating you?
No ones told me I've got stuff wrong yet but I'm sure I must have done and they've just not noticed yet.

Otterses · 07/08/2019 07:43

@m00rfarm

Are you checking the level of content when you're working? That's most likely why, if it's low, there's a long wait between items.
