Because we're all so excited and never shut up Grin

A huge congratulations to all the new Crispers! Hopefully @reddA the content hoarder won't stand in your way of earning extra cash Wink

@CatHopeful thank you, I can always try []

CatHopeful · 28/06/2019 17:54

@m00rfarm I'll give it a go - give me half an hour or so as I just need to deal with kids for a bit.

whatthewhatthewhat · 28/06/2019 18:11

Still no word... guess that's not good?

CatHopeful · 28/06/2019 18:15

@m00rfarm I have just managed to successfully change my password very easily following the info on the Wiki. I'm using a MacBook with Chrome browser. Hope you can get it fixed soon!

m00rfarm · 28/06/2019 18:18

Fiddlesticks - I cannot get the email to receive on my email. Guess I will keep trying :(

reddA · 28/06/2019 18:47

Hopefully these photos from today will cheer you all up, injured seagull (although I think he might be putting it on a bit now as I've seen him walking on his foot quite well), baby seagulls and the beach Grin

@whatthewhatthewhat I've still not heard either. Hope they have forgotten about us.

Guessing I can't have failed before even taking the test?
Are they likely to reply over the weekend or am I going to be waiting till Monday now?

Mamaslave18 · 28/06/2019 21:19

Ugh Appen support really sucks! I reported the small batch issue again and they’ve basically said I might want to leave the project.

Otterses · 28/06/2019 21:58

@Mamaslave18

Shock what did they actually say!?

Evening folks.

I had my interview for cloudworkers today and they accepted me, woop! Wasn't too bad really and feeling fairly positive about it Smile I can start properly on Monday. Yippee

Mamaslave18 · 28/06/2019 22:33

@Otterses They said my phone doesn’t seem to be compatible with the tool. They don’t want to lose me but think I will get too frustrated. Maybe I can rejoin if I get a new device and to let them know how I want to proceed.

Tohaveandtohold · 29/06/2019 03:15

@Bemystarlord, I’m still waiting on crisp, passed the test last month and I’m on East Midlands. It really does seem like they’re not yet recruiting from our region and hopefully they’ve not forgotten us.

mydogisthebest · 29/06/2019 08:34

Well after my excitement at being accepted for Nile on Appen I have still not been able to start it.

The rating tool will not load no matter what I do. I emailed Appen but had no reply so not very impressed with them.

Looking at their chat forum it seems a few people are having the problem but no real answer as to what to do other than send an email.

I am just hoping Crisp take me on. I too live in the East Midlands so am hoping they will get to us all soon

Bemystarlord · 29/06/2019 08:51

@Tohaveandtohold That’s reassuring in a way as it does seem to confirm that they are recruiting in regions. Fingers crossed they get to us midlanders soon 🤞

anxiouswaiting · 29/06/2019 10:42

@FloofenHoofen do you know what the actual pay is per utterance? I've had a reply telling me not to worry about taking longer than an hour and that nobody minds how long I take because I will be paid per utterance. The project page says it's a $10.80 per hour project and I can't see any mention of pay per item. Do you happen to know please?

I chose not to submit the Yukon exam in the end as there is just so much tot ake it, well this morning I got an e-mail despite failing the exam by not submitting they want to offer me another chance. I've accepted for 2 weeks time in the hope I can actually get my head around the guidelines and I hope in the meantime I can pass the Crisp exam and get enough work from that not to need to bother with Yukon.

m00rfarm · 29/06/2019 10:46

@CatHopeful finally got on - suddenly received about 20 change password requests! Have you started yet? I have done about an hours worth of what I assume are traininbg questions. How many do we have to do? I am getting the same (totally identical) ones coming up time and time again so I have stopped. I cannot see anywhere in the email which says how many we have to do - just that they will be monitored within 7 working days.

justtheonethen · 29/06/2019 11:29

@m00rfarm are they the same content but different risk tree? You do get the same one coming up a few times with a customer service/spam, profanity, drugs/PR tree each time.

m00rfarm · 29/06/2019 11:32

@justtheonethen - no - they are all a PR one.

justtheonethen · 29/06/2019 11:35

Oh! Weird then Confused

BlackCatFan · 29/06/2019 13:22

@m00rfarm can't remember if it was you that asked about getting paid for the training questions on Crisp, I had a reply this morning and yes we do get paid (in case you didn't know).

I'm going to start on Wednesday, it's too much for my brain this weekend. ☀️

m00rfarm · 29/06/2019 13:29

Oh - if we are being paid for training questions, then I will do some more!

SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 29/06/2019 13:30

BlackCatFan, I am the same, I shall be starting next week too. I have the accounts for my other job to do and I hate doing them so my brain won't cope with being Crispy as well.

BlackCatFan · 29/06/2019 13:39

@SorryDidISayThatOutLoud being Crispy 😂

whatthewhatthewhat · 29/06/2019 14:03

Still haven't heard. Do they work weekends? Anyone take ages between the Crisp assessment and them getting back to you?

justtheonethen · 29/06/2019 14:15

@whatthewhatthewhat I think I did mine on a Friday and heard back Monday. I don't think you will hear at the weekend.
