Because we're all so excited and never shut up Grin

A huge congratulations to all the new Crispers! Hopefully @reddA the content hoarder won't stand in your way of earning extra cash Wink

I got my final result after only a couple of hours or so, I was expecting it to be more like a couple of days. I've now received log in details for everything except the actual platform that the work is done on and I'm hoping that comes through by the end of today.

MrsGaryLightbody · 28/06/2019 11:47

Found you ! Grin

I've been doing clickworker and although you need the patience of a saint I've managed £10 a day for last ten days Yay go me !

But need something else similar simple To keep me afloat in my newly single status .

Any ideas would be gratefully received.

I will look at cloudwork in a few weeks once I'm more mentally together.

Otterses · 28/06/2019 12:13

Right @MrsGaryLightbody ! I'm going to pop my thinking cap on Grin I think you're right to leave cloud worker for a bit, I know I'm making a huge assumption but I don't think you're going to be in the best headspace for it right now (I do mean that kindly!).

Have you signed up with RedWigWam? There's quite a few jobs on there at the moment if you can get out! There's a £15 one for doing a quick display in Boots, a regular four hours a week at Asda merchandising the makeup stabs, and some product review ones on there (reimbursed for product, paid for the review).

Spare5 would probably really suit you if you don't mind Clickworker, have a look at the app.

And... would you consider any of the speech tasks on Appen global? I know they're the work the devil. But they're seriously simple.

Congrats to everyone for all of your good news :)

anxiouswaiting if you're struggling to understand the accents then abandon the batch. It's better to do that than to label it wrong and have an impact on your overall percentages.

MrsGaryLightbody · 28/06/2019 12:22

@Otterses oh thank you for the input. You are quite right about waiting or leaving cloud work.
I can't really get into town often as live rural and rely on buses .. pain !
But will definitely look at the other suggested ones.
Again thank you so much! Smile

Otterses · 28/06/2019 12:29

@MrsGaryLightbody

Grin I forgot we had similar circumstances!

You've applied for Crisp and Modsquad?

I would download Vypr too. You just look at photos of food and say if you'd buy it or not.

Voxpopme (I think it's called) would also be a good one from the sofa. Video based surveys, you just record yourself and give your opinions on a topic they ask you about.

There's another on I've forgot the name of Blush ...

I've just done the training bit for crisp and then emailed them this morning. How long does it take for them to contact you to do the test? I really want to get it over with so I can stop obsessively checking my email.

whatthewhatthewhat · 28/06/2019 13:11

@ShinyButtons me too :-(

Still waiting...

anxiouswaiting · 28/06/2019 13:39

@FloofenHoofen I finished it because I had already got to about 50. I've e-mailed them though and told them how difficult it was. My transcriptions are full of the unintelligible tag, gutted.

The next 2 batches were just as bad so I did as you suggest and abandoned them. I've now started on one which is much clearer so hope to get through them quicker, still isn't going to be 114 an hour though. My stats show the batch I did as 54 per hour!

I doubt I will get another batch after this anyway as I am now going out and there aren't many batches left.

reddA · 28/06/2019 14:11

@anxiouswaiting sorry, missed your post - brilliant news!! Grin
Came in to do a bit of Crisp but it's quiet so I may as well go back outside again (the hardship!) - it's lovely and a nice breeze here today too, injured seagull is sat on the wall next to me and 2 baby ones keep walking along the apex of the roof opposite waiting for food to be brought to them Grin

ShinyButtons · 28/06/2019 14:55

@whatthewhatthewhat still waiting here too. Trying and failing not to get my hopes up in case I fail the test. Just want to get it over with.

whatthewhatthewhat · 28/06/2019 15:25

@ShinyButtons I know, it's driving me mad... 🤣

0hmygoodness · 28/06/2019 16:01

@FloofenHoofen, or anyone else doing the Fletcher transcription, am I supposed to be entering change-spk at the beginning of each new line? (I just assumed they were taking it in turns to speak on each batch anyway and thought that was just for mid sentance changes). Thanks

CatHopeful · 28/06/2019 16:42

A quick question about beginning on Crisp if I may? I now have all my log in details for everything (apart from Klipfolio, but I understand that's normal and will take a bit longer). I've been told that initially I can only work in the monitoring queue and that I'll be doing training data which will be reviewed after the first seven business days. That's all fine, but I'm wondering if the time spent on the training data is paid or not?

justtheonethen · 28/06/2019 17:16

@CatHopeful oh how strange. I went straight onto live posts for both mod2 and monitoring. Email them and ask, they are lovely and friendly.

CatHopeful · 28/06/2019 17:26

@justtheonethen Thanks for the reply. I assumed it was normal for new starters - there was no indication that there had been an issue with any of my tests etc, I mean, if there had been then I wouldn't have been passed anyway!

bkaz · 28/06/2019 17:32

Hi all, can you please let me have the link for Crisp and do I have to have be a member of the social media to do the work? Thanks.

Blessthekids · 28/06/2019 17:34

I am thinking of applying for Modsquad as I need to move on and not simply have my fingers crossed that Crisp or Appen will deliver! Has anyone got any experience working for them? Their info is very low on specifics!

m00rfarm · 28/06/2019 17:40

@CatHopeful I have had the same. But I cannot get onto the Mod 2 stuff because I cannot get the forgotten password to send me an email to change the password ... It is a bit confusing on the wording - they say work on the trial data, but then seem to say that we can go onto the Mod2 live data. I am sure it will all become clear eventually ...

CatHopeful · 28/06/2019 17:42

@bkaz This is the link you need:
crispthinking.typeform.com/to/fSclfS

I do not believe you need to be a member of any social media platforms, but you will need some understanding of how the major ones work, though if you get through the initial aptitude test to training, then there is material in the training guide on that.

CatHopeful · 28/06/2019 17:45

@m00rfarm perhaps it's a new requirement then? I haven't tried to change my password yet. For some reason I much prefer doing anything that requires concentration on the desktop rather than laptop, but I haven't had access to it today as my husband has been working from home. I plan to try and sort it all out on Monday.

m00rfarm · 28/06/2019 17:47

I cannot log in unless I change m y password. I have tried three different browsers in case that makes a difference and no luck.

m00rfarm · 28/06/2019 17:50

@CatHopeful - could you try to change your password so I can see if it is a problem with my Mac or whether there is an issue with their software. I work with software similar to this, and occsionally there is a problem with forgotten password and they need to reset the system to get it working again.
