Another month done folks Grin a quarter of the way through the year.

I thought we could try something different this time, the original list looks a little redundant. So I thought we could all post our top five earners from the last few months.

For me, in no particular order:

  1. Leapforce.
  2. Crisp Thinking
  3. Angelfish
  4. Quidco
  5. MobileXpression (bloody love this passive one!)

What're yours?

@evaperonspoodle the only 'jobs' as such are Leapforce (£10.61 p/h), Crisp (£10 p/h Hmm...) and CloudWorker (again, should be £10 p/h but I can't verify this as I haven't heard back yet).

Everything else is variable depending on how much effort you put into it, what projects/tasks are a slinky, etc. No solid answer I'm afraid. Mainly well above NMW.

However, I really would strongly recommend NOT depending on any of these as a sole source of income. Projects can end suddenly, you can be booted off a project, take can be rejected ... it's just not reliable enough to be a primary income source.

Apologies if that's not what you meant, that's what I took from your NMW question.

Right 😂 I have NOT been brave enough to try selling these! I'm scared, and hoping that I can find a few success stories online before giving it a try. But this is some really interesting information I've found.

Sweatcoins is an app that basically just pays you to walk. I've had it since September and am on 750 coins so far. You earn in cryptocurrency. The rewards are all pretty crap for lesser coin amounts, the 'big' win is the $1000 cash, which you can buy with 20,000 sweatcoins. That would take you about three years to earn as your average pedestrian.

The coins seem to fluctuate in value, they may go up in the future, so could be a good 'investment' in cryptocurrency for doing stuff you'd do daily (ie; walking with your phone in your pocket).

However, there's a reasonable market for both buying and selling sweatcoins. So say you have 1 coin, someone will pay you about $0.05-0.10 for it. So $25 for 500 coins you've put no effort into generating.

AND ... there's a great market for buying them. This may be dodgy as hell, so I'll keep looking into it. But if you buy 20,000 sweatcoins (currently $890) you can buy a $1000 cash. So that's $110 profit. (£85ish). There doesn't appear to be a limit on how many times you could do this.

Either way, it's free cash Grin

For those of you who use Mobilexpresdion have you had any issue getting your vouchers? Trustpilot has 75% giving it a bad review. A common complaint was that they were blocked when they tried to claimed their voucher.

Frenchdoors1 · 08/04/2019 11:55

I've just gone on the 'Curious Cat' app and most of the time I get screened out after only giving my age and area where I live Confused On the FAQ's it says if I'm doing other survey apps then it recognises that I've answered similar questions before, therefore I won't get paid 'twice' for answering the same questions, which is fair enough.

So, wondering which other apps to delete/unsubscribe from to remedy this problem.

Anyone else had this problem?

mydogisthebest · 08/04/2019 12:12

reddA, I did the practice yesterday and was awful! Not sure whether to read the instructions a few times more in the hope that it sinks in and try the real test or just forget it.

WhoChecksTheCheckers · 08/04/2019 12:18

I’ve got a few days off work this week and I’m desperately trying to save up money , are any of these options thing I could get stuck into in just a few days? I’m no brain box I just want something simple and easy to understand? 😂

jazzandh · 08/04/2019 12:24

I've just done the practice and test for the Appen job as well! By the end of both I was getting the hang of it I think....but not in time for a good result!!!

Otterses · 08/04/2019 14:53

@Hoggytat been on there a year and had zero issues. However, vouchers do tend to go into your spam folder.

reddA · 08/04/2019 15:30

@jazzandh @mydogisthebest I just did the test and it was infuriating, followed the guidelines, kept checking back, didn't rush, but still got things wrong, I've emailed them for clarification on some of them (can't see me getting the job now!).

Getting fed up wasting time on these sorts of things, getting my hopes up that I'll have something regular, wouldn't mind if I'd actually made mistakes ffs! I'd have been better off spending the day on crisp and earning some money instead Hmm

Rant over Blush

mydogisthebest · 08/04/2019 15:41

Oh that's not good reddA. I don't think I am going to bother doing the test as I feel I am unlikely to pass and it will just be a waste of time when I could be doing something else.

reddA · 08/04/2019 16:14

You could just whizz through it and see how it goes, you never know :)

Otterses · 08/04/2019 16:53

@reddA 😂 it certainly says something when you'd rather be on Crisp all day!

I agree though @mydogisthebest, give it a go. You've got nothing to lose.

WhoChecksTheCheckers · 08/04/2019 16:56

I’ve signed up for oh my dosh half an hour ago and have made £2.50 already Grin

catsmother · 08/04/2019 18:51

I'm glad it's not just me who thought that Appen speaking task was dreadful. By the time you'd read the instruction, recorded it, transcribed it and listened back before submitting there was no way 800+ examples would take only 3 hours. More like 6 or 7. It made me quite cross actually as they must have an idea how long it really takes and I wasn't prepared to chance all that time for so little even if I passed every submission.

I've also tried to take that other test .... and didn't get past the first practice question as my screen refused to submit my judgement . Have emailed and will see if they reply with any suggestions ... maybe a different browser ??

reddA · 08/04/2019 19:49

@catsmother I did it in Chrome @otterses managed to do a bit on crisp, only £8 but I feel better now Grin

WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 08/04/2019 21:27

Still no invoice for crisp anyone else? I mean I shouldn't worry I've only earnt 30 pounds but still 😂

bubbaba · 08/04/2019 21:40

Thanks to the March post I joined prolific and made £25 ish (happy with that)! Haven't had any surveys for a week though - anyone else having this or have I someone peaked and that's it!

Otterses · 08/04/2019 23:00

@reddA Grin think of a Crisp as a stop gap till you find something better.

DS is determined to make me grey before 30. Been up the hospital with his chest infection. going to head home now and do some Crisp I think. Too stressed to sleep at the moment!

I’m getting tons of Prolific studies at the moment. It’s a real surge after weeks of nothing.

mydogisthebest · 09/04/2019 08:29

I made £18 on a free £25 bet yesterday and won £8 on free spins on Buzz Bingo.

I never got round to trying the actual test on appen. Not sure if I have run out of time now. If I haven't I will give it a go today but not holding out much hope to pass it

reddA · 09/04/2019 09:42

@WithAllIntenseAndPurposes no statement from crisp here either.

Prolific comes in waves for me, it's been quiet since last week though.

@otterses hope you managed to get some kip and DS is feeling better today Flowers

Has anyone who did the Appen test checked their qualifications? It gives the score for it, although they did say they would mark it themselves, it gives an idea of how you did.

Hope everyone has a productive day Grin

Otterses · 09/04/2019 11:46

@reddA same, I think statements are usually the 10th?

And thank you 😊 I did £8 worth of crisp then headed to bed. He's been up an hour and seems much brighter than he has in weeks.

OP posts:
WithAllIntenseAndPurposes · 09/04/2019 12:12

Nothing from Appen as yet

WhoChecksTheCheckers · 09/04/2019 12:44

I’m getting some emails through offering me money to claim spins for 99p etc and I’m a bit anxious that signing up to an account will somehow result in a secret monthly subscription fee or something. It might just be me who fears this Grin

mydogisthebest · 09/04/2019 13:14

I got an email today from appen saying I have not been accepted for the Nile project. I am disappointed but I believe you can apply again. I just wish they had not made me wait 2 months before letting me know
