MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Every single crypto “investment” Wig (and the erstwhile other half of the #PowerCouple, Sleaze) have been involvedin to date have been ponzis which have either collapsed, petered out or been shut down by the authorities.

But yeah. She can definitely get you a massive ROI in a collapsing currency market because her apps are so fabulous that the rules of economics just don’t apply to her...

Spongebobette · 10/12/2018 09:45

@Jasmin82 Well done. Which MLM was this, sorry I’ve forgotten

@Spongebobette it was Younique. I hadn't mentioned before which one I was in.

Spongebobette · 10/12/2018 10:07

Ah, I know someone on Younique. She loves her Y sisters and goes on and on about her ‘little makeup business’. Her FB is full of wake up to make up pics, then an excited post about this month’s Kudos, then a post about why not be a Kitnapper. It’s like Groundhog Day.

Just seen a post by my hopefully soon to be former upline (had an email saying they'll get back to me in the next 3 days about my "issue", more likely I'll have an email in the next couple of days saying they haven't heard anything more from me, so they're closing the case.) of a photo of the "deadly sins of network marketing." I think she must be trying to lose people.

What is a successful coma??? I assume a public addict is meant to be a publicity addict not someone who is addicted (to something) publicly or in public?

Spongebobette · 10/12/2018 12:43

I see Yawn's "not working through December" is going well .... plugging products and a business presentation tomorrow evening in the exotic and festive Holiday Inn in Gloucester.

She asks you to drop her message if you're interested but presumably, as she's not working this month, you won't hear back from her until January.

Sunshineandshowers81 · 10/12/2018 13:52

Bbl has put up a top UK and Ireland list for juice plus. She is quite clearly number 5 but has announced she is in the top 4 🤨

Jonsey32 · 10/12/2018 13:53

Scathing message written on roomies business page by a family member ...... been there 2 hours now.....

Spongebobette · 10/12/2018 15:01

wow.
that's quite a post.

Isn’t it just?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 10/12/2018 16:11

Has it gone now as I can't find it?

Last one was from last month from her Aunt(?)

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 10/12/2018 16:14

Ah, it's OK , it's in visitors posts (a bit that I always forget exists) - off to read it now before it goes

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 10/12/2018 16:20
Shock
Jonsey32 · 10/12/2018 16:32

You would have to be bonkers surely, to Write a book about living people that was total rubbish?
I assume if this is all fiction, with some pretty damning accusations then she has left herself wide open to being sued? As have the publishers?

JasperRising · 10/12/2018 16:50

Except the 'publishers' describe themselves as 'book strategists' so I reckon they will be able to keep themselves a step clear from being liable if there is a legal case.

Jonsey32 · 10/12/2018 16:57

I think this could get quite messy. The family are claiming they have evidence that it’s all rubbish.
Does this tie into MLM? That you become so self absorbed and tied up in yourself that you can create a whole fantasy world whilst never thinking about the potential consequence?

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 10/12/2018 17:02

The bit that screamed MLM link/tie to me is how often the phrases "bullying" and "haters" are banded about.

It's a MLM trait to use those terms about anyone and anything that you don't agree with or anything that's said that you don't like the sound of.

BangingOn · 10/12/2018 17:35

I was interested in the cousin’s references to ‘your truth’ which it sounds like the book focuses on and smacks of MLM mindset.

eastie1122 · 10/12/2018 17:44

Who are "yawn" "uber" etc? I've been following these threads but can't find out who they are!

SSDGM · 10/12/2018 18:10

Anyone else notice that the relative says that Roomie “paid thousands” to publish the book?

Jonsey32 · 10/12/2018 18:12

I think that happens when you self publish? You literally pay them to do it for you as opposed to the other way round.....

Sunshineandshowers81 · 10/12/2018 18:14

The book is back available on Amazon again

BangingOn · 10/12/2018 18:53

That’s why it’s knownbas Vanity Publishing.
