MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

I agree it is in such bad taste. Somebody has asked her if the boys will be moving over to England to live with her.

BSintolerant · 27/01/2019 09:25

She's probably grooming them to be bots as soon as they hit 18. Let's hope MLM schemes are banned soon.

Norma27 · 27/01/2019 09:43

She’s already got her daughter wanting to join once she turns 18. Recently she had her first school friend recruit apparently for when that happens! No doubt she will try to groom the boys for it too. It must surely collapse here soon. Can’t wait to see the cheques this year. And can’t wait to see where UK is now in the forever rankings.

UnapologeticallyUnhinged · 27/01/2019 10:23

There's a very interesting Avon post that keeps coming up in my FB feed (interesting as I have NEVER purchased Avon in my life) that is 50% 'I'm leaving this company after XXX years' and 'Join my team!!!'

It would be laughable if it wasn't so grotesque.

Whiterangey · 27/01/2019 10:38

The charity that she sponsors the kids through is run by a forever diamond manager from the UAE.

Seems like they help a lot of children though.

Spongebobette · 27/01/2019 12:04

Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a wonderful idea to help children.

If she had posted a link to the charity, for example, and said it’s a good cause and she’s involved, fine

So wig and sleeze have 1700 people in their team in 35 days. Why can't people understand that this growth is not sustainable and the whole thing will implode. Anyone know how their mlm works? I don't understand bit coin or forex trading

Twentytwentyhindsight · 27/01/2019 17:01

@Hunbot - Wig 'n' Sleaze's ventures are not even MLMs, they are straight up Ponzi (illegal cash pyramid) schemes.

They may hide behind crypto currency or Forex trading, but essentially the payouts come from the joining up fees of the suckers who are conned into joining.

As you say, they implode extremely fast and only a very few (usually only those that set it up) make any money. Everyone else is left wondering where their 'investment' went.

Norma27 · 27/01/2019 18:55

Yawn has admitted to being a stationary nerd again. Love it!
I’m more of a stationery nerd myself.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 27/01/2019 19:07

"Stuck on the treadmill to nowhere" nerd, as opposed to someone who can appreciate well-made office supplies...

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 27/01/2019 22:38

Salon's done a live. I can't bring myself to watch it with sound but the immobility of her face is mesmerising. She's only late twenties, why would you do that to yourself?!

Charlie103 · 28/01/2019 00:06

Can't see salons live. Where is it?

Whiterangey · 28/01/2019 07:48

It looks like she has damaged her face. One cheek is very different to the other. She can barely move her face at all.

SSDGM · 28/01/2019 08:45

Basically, she’s back! She’s not been doing NWM for 13 months because reasons but now she’s ready to start recruiting all over again like some sort of vampire.
She’s going to Vegas to speak at a conference about how amazing she is at scamming people.
No mention of company or product on the live but her FB mentions skincare and overnight weight loss products coming soon.

And it’s fillers. Lots of Botox and lip and cheek fillers. She’s starting to look “done” which is the exact opposite of how anyone who has injectables should look. I have zero issue with people who get work done as that would make me a hypocrite but not quite enough is plenty. IYSWIM.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 28/01/2019 09:51

If it's Vegas then it's Valentus. She is a fucking shark.

ArbunneHun · 28/01/2019 11:48

The cynical amongst us would be questioning the timing of Salon’s return...

Valentus (despite all protestations to the contrary) is dying on its arse. So much so that One of Salon’s few remaining quadruple diamond V Sisters defected to Ariiiiix/H3 at the start of the year, taking most of her downline with her, including the South African leader (this was where much of the sales/team growth was coming from). More former Valentus people seem to be joining her by the week and OBVIOUSLY they are #smashing those promotions and it’s changing their lives... (yaaaawwwwwn!)

So... Salon has previous history when it comes to being incentivised to prop up a dying MLM to convince the victims to keep buying/recruiting because all is well (hello, Lifetree World!). I can’t help but wonder whether it’s a combination of her own income collapsing plus a persuasive offer from V Corporate that’s convinced her to get back in the game?

Bovneydazzlers · 28/01/2019 14:01

Uber's accounts are on Companies House.
Profitable year, sadly, but the usual director loan to the company (at an eye watering figure), but at least the company has plenty of cash in the bank for it.

It's funny that Salon says she's been out of NWM for 13 months. One of her most desperate wannabe Bots who followed her to Valentus from LTW and has been 💯smashing it, on fire 🔥🔥🔥and assuring us #thetimeisnow ever since has been tagging her in posts for months...

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 28/01/2019 17:19

I'm going to hazard a guess that Trading Standards have finished their investigation so she's no longer flying under the radar.
If that's the case it's a bloody shame as she's been not much short of an actual crook.

Whiterangey · 28/01/2019 17:33

Disagree.

She is an actual crook. Not only valentinus but there is traffic monsoon as well, persuaded a lot of people to part with their money for that one.

Bovneydazzlers · 28/01/2019 18:32

It's hard 100% to say how profitable Uber's business really is. As it's a small company they don't have to show the p&l account.

So although it looks on the surface that the company has done pretty well (cash in bank, shareholders funds increased a little since last year), it doesn't show what wage she took from the business this year rather than last for example.

The accounts do show they are set up to minimise tax with pension contributions to reduce company tax, and directors loans rather than wage (not suggesting anything illegal here, just doing it in a way that defers the tax bill).

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 28/01/2019 19:29

Has Yawn changed her fb settings to stop people (or just non-friends?) from commenting or has it always been like that?

SSDGM · 28/01/2019 19:54

Broke is “pickling his kids up from school”.
