MLMs/ Network Marketing: Thread 45

Spongebobette · 05/12/2018 12:24

This is the 45th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, Monat, Stella and Dot, Tropic, various slimroast/weight loss coffee MLMs and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs.
The reality is that 97% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Just looked at Yawns accounts
That's a serious directors loan to be paid back
Looks like a remortgage is in order

Paddy1234 · 10/01/2019 20:57

And former Welsh down line - now mindset training and book authors moved three times last year
I have nothing against rented but they continually flaunt there lifestyle so everyone assumes it is bought and paid for

Orchardgreen · 10/01/2019 21:06

Yawn wants to see photos from 400 years ago when her house was new. 🙄

FranceTeam · 10/01/2019 21:09

How much would a typical FLP manager level make each month?

Would living abroad impact that?

picklemepopcorn · 10/01/2019 21:12

Hello! Quick question if anyone could help.

  • Limelight by Alcone-
is it classed as MLM? A friend has joined up but is quite business experienced and feels she knows what she is doing. She says it's not MLM.
Spongebobette · 10/01/2019 21:30

Nah just showing off, Paddy

A lick of paint, new worktop and removing the carpets = a whole year renovating her house meaning she wasn’t doing any work on her business and for no Chairman’s Bonus

As someone with a background in history I am ShockGrinGrinGrin at the idea of photos of a 400 year old cottage when it was new. 1619 - you'd not even get a drawing of a cottage - maybe a a boxy line drawn 'house' on a map or plan... She might have some luck with photos from the 19th century if she checks out her local record office or if her town/village has a history group.

PopPopRadio · 10/01/2019 21:50

Limelight is MLM and is the one that The Dream podcast joined in their research into MLM. I suggest that you and your friend both listen to the podcast especially the 3rd one where the amount of money required to do Limelight is explained and the cost of purchase compared to retail.

Also there are two later episodes after one of the big get togethers of Limelight. It's so sad and depressing it makes the researcher cry.

suedoname · 10/01/2019 21:51

@picklemepopcorn send your friend a podcast called 'The Dream' they joined that MLM as part of their experiment.

Mr Welshdownline is a business strategist that can only get three likes on a post and those are from Mrs welshdownline, mother in law and random friend. How inspiring, sign me up Hmm

I've heard their Cardiff based beauty downline is still sticking to her FL life occasionally driving to Swindon for bizniz meetings. Where they draw circles and case credits.

Teddy1970 · 10/01/2019 22:21

I found a video of Yawn where she'd written on her whiteboard that she wanted to be a Diamond manager by the time she was 40...I don't think so, she's in her late thirties and FL is on it's way out in the UK.

Helipad · 11/01/2019 07:26

Catching up and not sure if this has been said here already but I’ve seen a link today where Stella & Dot have announced they are leaving the UK. As they are operating at loss, blaming it on weak currency.

Helipad · 11/01/2019 07:30

Just seen it’s already mentioned, as you were Grin

picklemepopcorn · 11/01/2019 11:52

Ok, thank you. I'm not going to push it with her- she's put some boundaries in place and is happy with her experience. She's going to review her situation in a year and decide where to go next. I think she's enjoying the buzz and some new skills she's picking up.

Sunshineandshowers81 · 11/01/2019 12:43

I wonder if bbl realises that it looks like she is wearing a nappy in the constant arse photos she puts on fb

9dartfinish2nd · 11/01/2019 12:44

As if Westminster hasn't got enough going on at the minute, tomorrow sees Nu Skin huns from all over the UK descending on the Park Plaza Hotel for it's Star Saturday event.
Not a good day to be tourist taking selfies on Westminster Bridge as prospecting huns will be lurking and eeeking everywhere.

fromdownwest · 11/01/2019 14:08

These followers of the top bots are so blind to the reality. The top bots are selling up their houses and assets to move to a cheaper place. Not because they want a dream life, it’s because no more are they able to fake it. The borrowing and lies have all caught up with them. In one last twist of deceit they are flogging their down sizing as a chosen lifestyle. They have no shame at all.

Bovneydazzlers · 11/01/2019 17:10

I find the comments on one of bloodsuckers latest posts about the training weekend really sad. Just from people about how the are so enthused from the training, will stay so focussed now, and how much they needed forever fjnancially. Bloodsucker commenting that the best thing is it leaves a legacy to your loved ones.
She must know the drop out rates, and the money these poor people are going to put into their 'business' that they will never get back.

Spongebobette · 11/01/2019 17:33

She’s evil

Yawn’s BFF is talking about today being her first day back at work after a year off. Is she managing expectations re the size of her cheque?

Norma27 · 11/01/2019 18:36

BFF has definitely had a year off.
Just like yawn had a year off last year to ‘renovate’.
What planet do these people live in! They haven’t stopped hawking that vile, overpriced aloe shite. And continuously trying to recruit victims to their scam.

JasperRising · 11/01/2019 19:45

To be fair it was commented on in one previous thread that yawns BFF didn't recruit as aggressively on Facebook and now she suddenly is so maybe she did step back last year.

I came across one bot trying to spin the line that they have taken the foot off the gas of their MLM business but now they've gone back to their old job because they just loved the environment so much and it has totally reinvigorated then and their MLM business Hmm

BangingOn · 11/01/2019 21:24

Yes, that’s true. She did adjust her privacy settings and post less for a few months, although I think a year off is stretching the truth.

FranceTeam · 11/01/2019 21:38

What does an aloe Vera drink actually taste like? I can’t help associate aloe Vera with washing up liquid or something to clean your floor with!

ArbunneHun · 11/01/2019 21:46

Uh oh: Broke’s had access to his children removed...
