New MB thread

Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is closed! Hello to everyone old and new trying out Matched Betting!

So I'm £850 up now really happy with that. How is everyone else doing?

Quick question - just wondering what you are all doing to try and prevent being gubbed? I don't have much time during the week to do this so I am a bit concerned that a lot of my reload offers have been the only ones I've done. Particularly interested in making sure I can protect my Bet365 account as I did well on 2up's at the weekend. Thank you!

Hope you all find this! Smile

Not all betting sites have search bars.. in fact I've found it's mostly the exchanges that have a search bar..

Best to just find it via sports-horse racing-course-time etc etc

purpleunicorns · 01/12/2018 09:42

Is anyone having issues with the Betfair app or am I being really thick? There's no option for lay bets, they're all blue rather than red

MeMyselfAndMylene · 01/12/2018 11:11

Eek! Just completed my first offer with Coral! On a horse that runs today. If I’ve done it all right, I should make a profit of £15 ... I’m more excited about that than I probably should be 😂

chuffnstuff · 01/12/2018 11:21

@Purpleunicorns scroll right on the screen with your thumb, you should then see the lay odds.

Ollivander84 · 01/12/2018 17:14

I did my first one - Coral and Betfair. Now on to Ladbrokes, qualifying bet on for tomorrow so will place free bet when that's over

GenderApostate · 01/12/2018 20:26

Purpleunicorns , are you using the Betfair exchange app and NOT the Betfair sports one? That was my very first mistake when I started this week 🤗
I’ve made @ £50 a day profit since Wednesday, signed up to oddsmonkey premium and am working my way through the opening offers and have deposited into 11 accounts so far, investing £250 in the process!

MeMyselfAndMylene · 01/12/2018 20:42

I’m using betfair online ... what should I be using?? And please tell me how to make £50 a day! I’ve made £15 today but only done one welcome offer so far.

purpleunicorns · 01/12/2018 20:53

Ah gender that's what was wrong! Wrong appGrin Got it now, thanks

Ollivander84 · 02/12/2018 19:11

Argh. My Ladbrokes free bet isn't showing yet, does it often take a bit to go on?

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/12/2018 19:31

Sometimes.

Team profit might know.

Ollivander84 · 02/12/2018 19:36

I'll keep an eye. For my qualifying bet I don't seem to have lost anything anyway so...
William hill next

AutumnB · 03/12/2018 22:58

Hello!

I've just started following the Team Profit £100 to £1k guide and did the coral welcome offer tonight and have placed the skybet offer for tomorrow (trigger) and Wednesday (free bet with best odds).

My coral ones lost so am I meant to withdraw money from betfair to then deposit into the next welcome offer (William Hill). If I'd won on coral I would have withdrawn from there but it's sitting in the exchange. They've not made this clear in the guide.

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/12/2018 08:23

Yes, withdraw and move on.

festivedramallama · 04/12/2018 08:31

Yes if you need the money to fund WH for the next offer withdraw it

Allhallowseve · 04/12/2018 13:52

Hi all ! Newbie here too! I but the billet after lots of reading and completed welcome offer for coral trigger bet on Sunday. I’m taking it slow have placed £10 of my free bet on a football game tonight then will place the other £10 once that one is done . I am being very slow and just worrying about losing money - hence starting on the £10 plan. Hopefully I can get a bit better at this....

Allhallowseve · 04/12/2018 13:52

*bullet not billet !!

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/12/2018 11:37

It’s all clicking into place with me, finally. I have an Oddsmonkey trial and one to one training tomorrow.

LadyFuchsiaGroan · 05/12/2018 14:52

Nice to find a mb thread. I started yesterday after reading the team profit guides. Started with the coral welcome offer and signed up to oddsmonkey. Slowly starting to get my head around it, although I'm confised how you can keep going after the welcome offers..?

Bonkersblond · 05/12/2018 15:25

Hmmm, giving this a go after reading and pondering for last couple of months, am as far as a Betfair and Coral account, hoping to give it a proper go today, have signed up to the PA free trial and studying tutorials, think I’m there with the process!

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/12/2018 15:32

There’s free bets offered after the sign up offers, plus price boosts, dutching, each way extra places.

AutumnB · 05/12/2018 17:19

When's the best time to get oddsmonkey? I'm only on week 1 so £17.99 a month seems a lot but if it does what I think it will then it would be a massive time saver. I know there is the one week trial for £1 but just seeing how much I can do in the first couple of weeks.

I have been brave and I've put about £250 in my exchange so far, just so I can get through the offers quicker (I'm super impatient) and maximise the free bets. Terrified of making a silly mistake though! I'm already £50 up in 3 days.

AutumnB · 05/12/2018 18:04

It doesn't take them long to send the reload offers does it?! Coral and William Hill sent them the day after I did the welcome offers.

It's a bit scary thinking about those vulnerable to gambling, how much temptation there is.

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/12/2018 18:37

I’d sign up now and read the advice on keeping accounts open.

Ollivander84 · 05/12/2018 21:14

William hill just emailed with bet £10, get £15 free bet
Presuming it's worth doing?!

AutumnB · 05/12/2018 22:25

Ollivander84 I got that one today too. I'm going to do it. I also got a Coral one yesterday 'deposit, bet 5 and get a free 5 bet' and I did that one too and got a £3.66 profit on that one. Not much but every little helps!

I'm finding it fun. But I'm a number cruncher so suits my personality anyway!
