New MB thread

Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is closed! Hello to everyone old and new trying out Matched Betting!

So I'm £850 up now really happy with that. How is everyone else doing?

Quick question - just wondering what you are all doing to try and prevent being gubbed? I don't have much time during the week to do this so I am a bit concerned that a lot of my reload offers have been the only ones I've done. Particularly interested in making sure I can protect my Bet365 account as I did well on 2up's at the weekend. Thank you!

Hope you all find this! Smile

Haven't done MB in couple of years. Have a few unused accounts so used up the sign up offers.

Can anybody tell me where to start?

Golden0ldie · 21/11/2018 16:49

Ten days in and I’ve been gubbed. Set up my Net Bet account today, lodged £50 and backed a horse which subsequently won. Went to my account and hit withdraw but a strange message popped up re not accessing bonuses if I withdrew funds sonI cancelled. Got email saying £50 free bet was credited and logged on to a pop up screen telling me that I have been blocked from promotional bonuses. Went onto Chat and was told it was automated but to read T&Cs which say something along the lines of - if you withdraw a deposit when there is a promo, then they will term you a promo better and block or close account.

Phew, that was quite long winded .... so how do I avoid going forward?

The £125 winnings is still sitting in Net Bet as is my free bet. Any advice when to use bet and withdraw funds. Is it even worth keeping the account open? Or doing a few mug bets?

Thanks!

Ilovealexa · 21/11/2018 19:15

Can anyone advise how best to use the bet365 new customer offer? Thanks

Merryoldgoat · 21/11/2018 19:28

@PetiteMamaNoel

You’ll need to find offers at bookies you haven’t yet joined - look at the Team Profit website.

@Ilovealexa

That’s the Bet £100/get £100 isn’t it?

You need to get your bank up first so you can afford the liability to back a higher odds event and maximise your profit - I waited until I had around £500 and made about £80 off the offer.

Use one of the calculators to check the liability you need to cover at various odds and go from there. You can also split it - I did one £50 and two £25 bets.

Ilovealexa · 21/11/2018 20:45

Oh fab thanks! That doesn’t make much sense but ill have a look at the calculators and hopefully it will afterwards :)

Merryoldgoat · 21/11/2018 21:09

What calculator are you using to work out your lay amounts?

Underworld345 · 21/11/2018 21:56

@Gammeldragz how often on average do you spend doing 11+ offers a day. I would say I do half that amount but probably more picky on what I do i.e I avoid doing ones that have high wagering associated with winnings. I only have around 2hours free on an evening. Is that doable to get £30 a day from just casino?

Gammeldragz · 22/11/2018 11:27

I spend a good 3 hours a day spread over morning and evening, but a lot of that is reading forum posts and stuff. Two hours should be enough to just do the offers. I actually do more like 18-22 a day but some do have the higher wagering requirements. I had a run of bad days this week but then made over £100 yesterday.

SushiMonster · 22/11/2018 15:40

@Ilovealexa did you read the team profit guid on how to complete the offer? If not, do so.

Gammeldragz · 22/11/2018 22:04

Looking like a ton of offers abound for Black Friday tomorrow. Sports and casino.
Betfred alone have about 20!
Of course I'm working 7-7:30 so I'll have a lot less time to tackle them, can't even start after midnight as I'm up too early Sad

CocoaOneBums · 24/11/2018 22:15

I've just started (yesterday) thanks to these threads which I've been reading for a while. £40 up so far, but waiting on my free bet from the third sign up.

Annoyingly, I've won most of my back bets so far, so had to put more money in my betfair wallet whilst I wait for the withdrawal from the bookies!

chocilit · 27/11/2018 10:00

I’m going to start this today. Can anyone tell me my first baby step? I have watched the videos etc but really need an actual person to tell me what my first move should be!

Merryoldgoat · 27/11/2018 11:09

A Profit Accumulator subscription - it will give you everything you need.

Golden0ldie · 27/11/2018 16:30

Choclit, if you don’t want to pay a monthly subscription just yet, then have a look at Odds Monkey. If you go to the Start menu there are 6 tutorials. Numbers 5 and 6 walk you through your first two bookie sign ups and bets. After that go to the Offers menu and select New Account offers. Just work your way through as you feel comfortable with them. I’ve done most of these but haven’t been brave enough to do any Accas yet so am leaving them for now. Good luck.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/11/2018 15:16

I’ve just started doing this again.

I have a months pa for £8.99 and have made £20 from the mo play offer.

It’s coral tomorrow.

Are any of you doing price boosts?

Gammeldragz · 28/11/2018 16:13

Yes I do price boosts if they're worth more than a pound.
Sometimes underlay them if they're low odds.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/11/2018 16:28

Silly question, but when you see a bookie offering a boost how do you know which one to choose off the matched betting selection?

Or do you go through each one offered to find it on the matched betting bit?.

twinkledag · 28/11/2018 17:58

@Gammeldragz can you explain the reasoning behind underlaying? I've read and read but I just don't get it!

Underworld345 · 28/11/2018 22:48

@fluffycloudland77 don’t really greet what you mean...do you find finding the lay bet?

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/11/2018 07:20

No, I mean say their offering a boost how Do you know which bet to pick off the odds matcher?.

notmaryberry · 29/11/2018 08:48

Hi all. I started MB this week. I've only done the Coral sign up so far and made about £15 but I wanted to make sure I had got the basics right before I did any more. I've got a day off today so going to do some more sign ups. I'm not sure how much time I can dedicate to it but I have a few days off in December so thought it would be a good time to start.

Gammeldragz · 29/11/2018 11:54

Twinkledag over time the profit pretty much is the same, but it uses less liability and sometimes you get a bigger win.

Ollivander84 · 29/11/2018 23:03

I have just started Smile used the save the student guide thing

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/11/2018 07:14

Don’t forget to check cashback sites, I missed out on loads of cash by not checking

MeMyselfAndMylene · 30/11/2018 21:08

I started today, just done my first qualifying bet with coral but struggling to use the free bets. There is a horse I want to put them on but can’t find the search bar in coral??!
