Anti MLM/ Network marketing thread NUMBER 43!!

Spongebobette · 29/09/2018 18:17

This is the 43rd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

51 quid for a facemask??? You get them for s quid at Primark!!!

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/10/2018 13:51

Talking of Roomie, wonder why she's home dying her hair when she normally goes to the salon and makes sure to post about it whilst she's there?

Feeling the pinch financially maybe?

cozietoesie · 27/10/2018 14:01

Now now. That price was for 5 facemasks. .

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/10/2018 14:03

One of the bots at Success Day has just posted a photo of a meagre salad (the only vegetarian option available) and commented "£4.30 WTF".

It seems that not only do they have to buy their own lunch and refreshments but the catering there is a rip-off.

Those of us with a real J.O.B. would probably have a free lunch provided (plus our time paid for....mileage paid for....even accommodation....)

ArbunneHun · 27/10/2018 14:55

Just looking at some of the #SuccessDay posts. Bloody hell: not many people there. The seats are only set out in the front 1/3 to 1/2 of the room and even then I estimate that about 25% of them are empty.

Questions for former FLers: how much are tickets to this self-indulgent brainwashing session and how many people would have attended a couple of years ago?

I reckon there’s about 300 there today? Anyone know exactly?

Tupperwarelid · 27/10/2018 15:19

There are very few bots being recognised as managers and supervisors. In the golden days the stage was full of them.

Norma27 · 27/10/2018 15:41

Did roomie get awarded one of those vile suitcases?! They are all so deluded.

spanfan · 27/10/2018 16:00

Of course. A tenner is fiiiiinnnne. 😂😂

Anyone see the upperbots doing a mask live?

😂

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/10/2018 16:23

So what does receiving a suitcase mean?

(TBH it seems like more of a punishment than a reward. Bit like the old fashioned pointy hats with a D for Dunce on)

Marble179 · 27/10/2018 16:55

PhD Bot refering to 'success day' as 'Business Development Seminar'. Pull the other one! It's almost like she wants to hide her involvement with FLP 😏

BangingOn · 27/10/2018 16:56

Unusual for Castle to miss a Success Day, perhaps she’s being beamed in?

Talking of Castle, her sister has a massive clearance on her non-FL business. Looks suspiciously like a closing down sale, which is a shame as it seemed like a viable business.

Paddy1234 · 27/10/2018 17:03

There may be 300 there today but quite a few of them have been given free tickets at the last minute to increase numbers.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 27/10/2018 17:08

If top prize is one of those pike-inducing suitcases, second prize will be two of them.

I remember when the bots would make sure the pics they took panned as much of the venue as possible to show the numbers. The opposite now seems to be true.

And this was at a time when non-qualifying bots had to pay their way to vicariously applaud the success of others, as it would somehow rub off on them. I understand that the dismal turnout is despite free tickets now being given to make up the numbers.

From Uber's pic, I counted ten new managers resplendent in their tacky nylon sashes - what were the numbers previously?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 27/10/2018 17:09

*puke-inducing

Castle's sisters business is making a loss, take a look at companies house, last year was a loss of £30k.

The next accounts should be published in December.

I believe this sale is to try and recoup as much money as possible.

Paddy1234 · 27/10/2018 17:34

Ref - Castles sister
As with anything they do its a smoke screen
Dolls are 29% off and everything is UP TO 75% off - good luck in finding it - so the dolls are still over £50
Actually fair play to them - normal retail practice but sadly a few bots have replied saying that they have wanted one for ages but can't afford one. Sorry you still probably can't afford one.

ArbunneHun · 27/10/2018 17:42

Castle’s Sis also reckons there are 3,000 people at “Success” Day.

Er... I don’t think so.

Tupperwarelid · 27/10/2018 17:59

Uber’s said she spoke to 1200 today. I’m not sure there were even that many.

Paddy1234 · 27/10/2018 18:31

Only 8 new managers
That is really really bad
Oh well

Paddy1234 · 27/10/2018 18:48

One of the new managers said 1,000 so the numbers are getting lower - still nowhere near the truth
Interesting to see recently Uber and Yawn starting to engage a bit more - Uber starting to realise that Yawn is the only one manically still thinking there is a future and therefore her only down line into recruiting the elusive managers, together with her sister

Whiterangey · 27/10/2018 18:52

Did Yawn get all of her team who went to success day to wear black and white?

It's a very small team for one of the UK's top bots.

BangingOn · 27/10/2018 19:44

Looks like it White and I think I counted 21 of them which doesn’t seem many at all.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 27/10/2018 20:20

I'm pleased to see that Mrs Stickman wasn't one of them.

Hopefully she is at home enjoying time with her partner and baby.

CatherineCookson · 27/10/2018 21:04

@paddy1234 number one best seller in experimental psychology no less. The #1 best seller technique is something I've heard before - as long as at some point your book is #1 on an Amazon chart you csn claim to be "A #1 author" - so Welsh FL claim it for their slay missive that's one of the worse books ever written.

Mind book coaching seems to be a good wheeze to get in on as Welsh FL are claiming making 30K this month already.
