Anti MLM/ Network marketing thread NUMBER 43!!

Spongebobette · 29/09/2018 18:17

This is the 43rd thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

I very much doubt her cheque next year will be comparable to this years cheque, definitely nowhere near her 2016 cheque.

Castles will also be greatly reduced and it was a lot less than normal.

If Yawn gets one then she will only just scrape through with one.

Electrascoffee · 26/10/2018 20:22

How can you guys tell what chairman's bonus the bots are likely to get?

Whiterangey · 26/10/2018 20:40

We can't, this is all just guess work.

Nobody guessed that Yawn wouldn't get a cheque this year, that was a bit of a surprise.

Actually someone did say that and everyone just brushed her off, can't remember who it was though. It was only one person.

We were all watching the live feed and the cheques were going up and up and still no cheque for Yawn and I guessed she would have less than last year and was getting slightly upset it looked like she was going to get a huge cheque until it became clear she wasn't getting one at all.

Spongebobette · 26/10/2018 20:47

It was @Doratheexplorer!!!

She KNEW

Whiterangey · 26/10/2018 20:50

Oh yes, I remember now. She totally called it and absolutely nobody listened to her.

I've never been so pleased to be proven wrong in my life.

Spongebobette · 26/10/2018 20:56

@Doratheexplorer is my hero

Why has Yawn put a photo of her kissing her husband with her husband looking into the camera while he is grieving?

I have never ever seen anything like that before. I've seen a lot of posts from people who have just lost a parent. Some disappear from facebook for a while after announcing it, others post multiple posts for days talking about the parent who has died and sharing photos or anecdotes interspersed with how heartbroken they are.

People deal with grief in different ways but I have never ever seen anything like Yawn is posting.

Yawn has shown no grief or sadness at losing her mother in law, it's odd.

Tizzlebizzle · 27/10/2018 07:27

@Whiterangey I thought the same. Her DH is going through something awful yet her business and image can't suffer. The photo is heavily filtered and the first platitudes are about how lucky she is to choose him. The next post then removes all dignity from the poor lady who has passed. Then poking fun at her DH from something found in the house clearing. And finally we're back at the "my eyelashes are too long and full to wear glasses" vain, shallow posts. Dear me.

user1484830599 · 27/10/2018 09:18

He's just a prop, same as the kids, the dogs etc etc. Nauseating.

willdoitinaminute · 27/10/2018 10:31

I agree and thought it very odd to be clearing out your mothers house so soon after her death but if she was in sheltered or council house they only give you a week to sort everything out. Very insensitive of her to post photos of her husband though.

SoftlyCatchyMonkey1 · 27/10/2018 10:48

Anyone else noticed how empty the success day is - as in they haven't even put all the chairs out

Norma27 · 27/10/2018 10:48

Also can’t let the death of your mil stop you going to another bloody success day. Shows where her priorities lie, and it isn’t supporting her husband or grieving for their loss.

Tupperwarelid · 27/10/2018 11:07

Interesting photos on Instagram of the Success Day venue. It’s tiny compared to previous years.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 27/10/2018 12:21

Yawn's behaviour does not surprise me.

As I was actually taking the call announcing my mother's death, my OH was posting on FB "Made it to manager - soooo excited!".

She knew what the call was about, as she had taken it and brought me the phone as I sat at my desk.

That was five years ago- it has been brought up three times. The first time, she genuinely didn't see that there was an issue, as this was "life changing for her". The second time, the response was "you're not still going on about that are you". The third was when I told her I could no longer live with someone who had pissed away eight years on FLP- she admitted it "may have been a bit insensitive, but..."

In return, and before I'd ever mentioned it, I was made to feel like I'd rained on her parade by having my mother die on her 'special day'. It didn't help that I was shortly afterwards hospitalised for two weeks with severe sepsis, confirming her impression that I was deliberately bringing 'negativity' into her life. I think that to this day she believes this explains her continued lack of success...

The cultish Law of Attraction and positive mindset training can seriously fuck up someone's moral compass.

cozietoesie · 27/10/2018 12:37

BlImey. I'll say.

Paddy1234 · 27/10/2018 12:44

I have the secret to success at becoming a best selling author

  • Charge it out at 99p (currently being done by Welsh FL down line)
  • Get a few friends to preorder
  • state you are No.1 best selling author (but fail to mention which obscure chart on Amazon) Bingo - off I go

@twenty - that is just such a sad story but unfortunately they are all completely barking mad ensconced in the cult believing we are all haters.

Ps I think the five pack of new face masks retail for about £45 wtf

Paddy1234 · 27/10/2018 12:55

I lied, the face masks are £51
Got to love Roomie for all the information

Happypuppy · 27/10/2018 13:06

Why would Roomie wear a lanyard with a “Ask me what a do” badge thing at a Forever convention? Confused

Wonder if her and yawn have said hello!
