Checked TIO to see if anyone had won and it's vanished!! Surely it isn't contentious 😂

£25 for me this month on max holdings.

FAQs · 02/05/2020 08:48

£25 this month after nothing last month.

leafygarden · 02/05/2020 08:51

£50 for me (2 x £25) on £22,000 holdings. Well happy with that! Grin

leafygarden · 02/05/2020 08:52

@InMySpareTime - fingers crossed that June will be your lucky month.

theclangersbigplan · 02/05/2020 09:40

Nothing this month for me - with 16k.

Got £25 last month with 8k and the total will be 19k for next month's draw. I Won't be topping it up any more for a while so hoping to start getting some return soon - I know it may not be the best thing to do with the money but I need it reasonably accessible and I like the 'what if' feeling enough for now!

LuckyHedgehog · 02/05/2020 16:22

Nothing for me this month on £48k, but £75 for DD and £100 for DS (both on £45k).

Purplemist · 02/05/2020 17:55

I won three prizes. Two of £25 and my biggest prize yet £500! I'm not sure how many bonds I have as I haven't checked for a while but must be around £48/49k .

Dinosauraddict · 02/05/2020 18:25

Wow congrats @purplemist

SouthWestmom · 02/05/2020 19:31

Brilliant Purple that's really nice

Thank you. I had an inkling I might have been in line for a bigger prize than usual as the notification email came through at 6.00 a.m.
They normally take a day or two when it's £25 !

OffToSingapore · 03/05/2020 01:49

Nothing this month on £27,500.

One lucky person has just won £25,000 with a total holding of only £7, from bonds bought in 1976 Shock

IGottaGetOuttaThisPlace · 04/05/2020 10:22

Dcs have inherited some money and I've no idea what to do with it.

It's 10k each, if I put it into premium bonds for them is it totally safe?

Thank you

Dinosauraddict · 04/05/2020 11:35

Yes, it's totally safe.

ScarfLadysBag · 04/05/2020 12:37

Got £50 on ~40k so not too bad! Well done @Purplemist! My mum won £500 a few months ago. I just about jumped out of my seat when I checked the app!

GreyGardens88 · 04/05/2020 12:54

I was going to buy £7000 worth on last day of April so it would be ready for Junes draw, unfortunately I got the address wrong so it's sitting as a pending transaction, will have to wait until July draw now. Wish I'd bought them years ago I've had thousands sitting in a regular account doing nothing for me

Pepperwand · 04/05/2020 13:25

£25 on £29,500. Happy with that as didn't win anything in March or April!

OffToSingapore · 02/06/2020 00:18

£25 this month on £28,000.

Dinosauraddict · 02/06/2020 00:47

£50 for me this month on max holdings Smile All goes to help my student loan overpayment fund!

InMySpareTime · 02/06/2020 05:54

Nothing again on 20k. There had better be some big prize waiting for me soon.

InMySpareTime · 02/06/2020 05:56

Last time I won anything was January and that was only £25.

ShirleyB25 · 02/06/2020 06:40

2 x £25 for me on around £24,000 bonds. Which is £225 in total since January. Very happy with that as to me it's already reasonable interest.

@InMySpareTime Sad That's really bad luck. Do you have all your bonds in one block or spread over several blocks?

I'm asking that, as when I first got premium bonds I had around £15,000 in one big block and didn't win anything for 5 months in a row. Since I've added to it by using other savings and also topping up whenever, I seem to have had 1 or 2 prizes every month.

Obviously it is all down to chance, but thought it worth mentioning!

Best of luck to you for July's draw.

InMySpareTime · 02/06/2020 06:59

They're in a lot of blocks, I've been adding a few hundred a month for a couple of years after an initial £5k investment.

BarbaraofSeville · 02/06/2020 07:07

Shirley

You're winning more because you have more bonds, nothing to do with blocks. Each bond has exactly the same chance of winning regardless of whether it's in a small block or a big block.

The reason why bonds in big blocks seem to win more is that collectively the block has more chances that one of the bonds will win, because there's more of them. If you have a £5k block and a £100 block, the chances of one of the bonds in the £5k block is 500 times more than one of the bonds in the £100 block.

Anyway, I won £25 on £14k, which is my second prize this year. A little behind target vs interest, but I can't complain, given that there's six draws still remaining this year and I averaged a payout of just over 2% last year.

Purplemist · 02/06/2020 07:52

3x£25 this month. I've had £875 since January so very happy with that.

FAQs · 02/06/2020 08:15

Nothing this month, topped up to £15k now. Well done winners 👍🏼
