I've created an Amazon Alexa skill* which will tell you if you've won (or not) in each monthly prize draw. It can also send you an Alexa notification on the monthly prize draw date (normally 2nd working day of each month), at a time of day or your choosing, with your win/no-win outcome.

Feedback welcome. I wrote the skill for my own needs but hopefully it will be useful to others.

Currently you can only register one holder number although I'm looking to change that in the future.

Hi everyone. I have one lot of premium bonds (I think) that was bought for me as a child by my parents. How do they work? I've never won anything on it.

@LifeReflections the first thing I'd suggest is finding out exactly what premium bonds you have. There's a tracing service (info here: www.nsandi.com/i-think-i-have-some-premium-bonds-i-am-not-sure) to check. Then I'd also recommend downloading the Prize Checker app once you know all the details, you can check this each month to find out if you've won.

Nothing for me but I wasn't expecting anything. I only hold a tiny amount!

Nothing on £17k

£25 on just over £13k after nothing last month. Disappointed it wasn't a big win obviously but on target as far as 'savings interest' goes.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the average payout rate over the next few months as, at 1.4%, PBs beat all instant access options once the Santander 123 rate drop kicks in, there's rumours of a base rate drop and National Savings aren't supposed to use their mighty size to outprice commercial savings providers.

Nothing here but no surprise, we recently cleared out the account for a garden renovation so there's the teeniest amount in there
