Checked TIO to see if anyone had won and it's vanished!! Surely it isn't contentious 😂

Whoop. Finally won 2 x £25

Haven’t won anything for maybe 5/6mths

SouthWestmom · 22/12/2019 19:09

This thread keeps vanishing off Threads I'm On - have £3k and no wins for months and months

OP posts:
DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/01/2020 14:36

Fingers crossed for tomorrow....

SouthWestmom · 02/01/2020 18:28

Oh, same. I'm down to 3k though so am not holding out any hope!

OP posts:
Dinosauraddict · 02/01/2020 18:42

I've decided that anything I win for the next 3 months is going towards a voluntary overpayment of my student loan, so fingers crossed for £100. (My average is c. £80 per month, but last month I got £125!)

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/01/2020 20:36

I've only got about £5k in there, so usually win....nothing. I £175 last year though.

I'm going to buy an extra £3k this month, rather than leaving it sitting in my bank earning very little interest. It's more fun wondering if it's going to win.

I do wonder why there's such a lag between the draw and the app results. Winners are the subject of some newspaper articles, but no news on the app til tomorrow.

Nothing this month on £10k.

FAQs · 03/01/2020 00:22

£25 this month.

Happinessinapeartree · 03/01/2020 02:51

Have invested 20k so hoping I get something back

Dinosauraddict · 03/01/2020 05:48

£75 this month on maximum holdings. I'm quite happy with that! Smile

InMySpareTime · 03/01/2020 07:23

£25 on £16k, a good start to the year.

Santasleftboot · 03/01/2020 07:45

I've got a £10,000 investment since August and hadn't won a diddly squat .....until today when I won £25!!

I'm delighted with that - and will look forward to next month ..

[must change my username before too long]

SouthWestmom · 03/01/2020 08:41

Nothing (again) on £3k

OP posts:
DrMadelineMaxwell · 03/01/2020 09:01

Nothing for anyone here. Oh well.

Sallycinnamum · 03/01/2020 14:08

£100 on £9k which was a nice surprise this morning.

Its only my second month so happy with that!

Whatthefoxgoingon · 03/01/2020 14:14

That’s very good on 9k sally!

£50 for me.

Dinosauraddict · 03/01/2020 17:02

Well done @Sallycinnamum - you seem to have fared the best today! Grin

Sallycinnamum · 03/01/2020 18:04

I'm sure it's a one off. I probably won't get another penny now!

Barmaid101 · 03/01/2020 18:15

Nothing for me! I’ve only got £160 in total in bonds had them for just over a year and got one £25 win last year. I’m not expecting anything for the next 5-10 years ha!

MakeTeaNotWar · 03/01/2020 23:02

We emptied ours to pay for work on our house so we're down to just £100. Unsurprisingly, no wins....

grumpypug · 04/01/2020 12:27

Nothing for me (wasn't expecting anything, I only have £50).

Is it better to save up and buy say, £1000 outright or buy £50 or £100 per month?

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/01/2020 14:43

£25 here. Whoop

TooMuch87 · 04/01/2020 17:04

Each individual £1 bond has the same chance of winning, so it makes no difference whether you buy them in small or big blocks. Best to buy them monthly, because the more draws they’re eligible for, the more chance there is of winning.

cptartapp · 04/01/2020 17:15

£25 here. Pretty pleased.

Dinosauraddict · 04/01/2020 17:24

@grumpypug I agree with @TooMuch87 - basically the sooner you buy them, the better.
