I've started this the absence of anyone else starting a thread on the subject and since the Chat thread will disappear in a month. Hope you think it's in the right place.

I'm still dithering which is annoying me. I've made a new e-mail - hope to get bank account this week. I keep looking at the different websites like Bonus Bagging and Profit Accumulator etc and can't decide between them. Put off by what Tawny said about Profit Maximiser and don't trust myself to do it without help so going for Bonus Bagging, i think.

I was recovering from an operation so had the time to devote to it as I wasn't at work but once I put together spreadsheets etc. I found it didn't take too long (more than 20mins a day though!). I did well out of Cheltenham (although it was scary as I was new to it all then) and the Grand National.

I hit all the welcome offers hard as I'm going to have to sideline it now as we'll be applying for a mortgage in a few months and I've heard conflicting information as to whether or not gambling sites on your bank statements is a no-no. I do have a separate account for matched betting but I don't want to risk it.

I'm also struggling to see how that level of income could be maintained without lots of time to devote to it, particularly at weekends with in-play free bets/horse racing etc. I've also been gubbed from 2 bookies so imagine it takes time to mug bet to keep your accounts open too!

I have done the majority of welcome offers and some ongoing offers so I'm going to give it a rest. I was with PA too - I found them very good and the forum invaluable but I've cancelled my subscription now. I've had a lot of fun though and no doubt I'll take it up again in the future, I get a huge buzz out of it and really love doing it!

Good Luck Smile

I started just over 6 weeks ago and hit my first £1000 today. Some days I spend a few hours and many days less than an hour or no time at all. I won over £140 on one bingo offer today.
Brysonette, how many bets do you think you'd made with the bookies who gubbed you? I have a couple that I've used a lot but they have emailed me the offers rather than me necessarily using what's on profit accumulator.

Grinnypig · 11/04/2016 14:51

Oh and I didn't do Cheltenham at all. I was too nervous for that! Made £50 on the grand national.

Brysonette · 11/04/2016 15:54

Wow, good going on the bingo Grinny!
The bookies who gubbed me were BetVictor - only did the signup offer on a major football game and was gubbed immediately, before I had a chance to do the free bet, and Bet Bright - again I only did the signup offer but managed to get in the free bet before I was banned! Like you I am still getting emailed lots of offers from the others.
I do clear my cookies and check for iesnare etc. so not sure why it happened but according the forum they were doing mass gubbings and I guess I just got unlucky. I honestly can't wait until we get a mortgage so I can do it again!

Grinnypig · 11/04/2016 16:13

Oh that's a shame! I think I've only done the sign up offer with bet victor. Betbright emailed me an offer today which I've done. I'm going to tread carefully with the bingo offers and spread them out which is the advice given by PA. If they are all as lucrative I will be very happy. I've only just started casino and bingo offers in the last few days and I've done well out of them.
When they gub you do they send an email - and is it a permanent ban?

Brysonette · 11/04/2016 16:45

I received an email from Betbright but had to contact BetVictor chat to see why I couldn't place a bet, which is how I found out.
I managed to turn 15p that was kicking about in a bingo account into £6 today - not a lot but every bit helps! I'm not sure about the permanency of gubbing, some say yes it's permanent but others you can perhaps bet your way back in?

RortyCrankle · 11/04/2016 19:05

I'm waiting on the outcome of 2 football matches being played later today. In the meantime I was wondering about bingo which I haven't investigated yet. If, for example, you had used your free bets on Paddypower, will they also offer you additional free bets on bingo or can the free bets only be used on either/or football/bingo?

Some of you are making major profits which is brilliant - congrats :).

I'm grubbed with a Paddy, Bet Victor and as of yesterday, Coral.

Paddy, seems fair tbh, I only did offers with them.
Bet Victor I got gubbed after my third offer, with plenty of mugging
Coral, I'm baffled by as I've used them a lot and been consistently mugging. The forum on PA seems to think that Coral may be won back with some consistent mugging so I might do that for a few weeks and see how I go.
They suggest 3 mugs bets per offer and stick to major events. You want to be the average punter.

Casino offers tend to be 'play £X and we'll give you a bonus top up'. I only do the low risk or risk free ones. I've set myself a limit of £10 for a casino offer. I won't do them if I stand to lose more than that. The bookies will send you offers, but not all of them are worth it. High wagering requirements will eat into your winnings meaning your less likely to come out with a profit.

Haven't done any bingo yet, tbh it looks a bit complicated and I'm not sure what to do.

cuntycowfacemonkey · 11/04/2016 20:53

Used my free bets with paddy power tonight and have done my lay bet on betfair but on Betfair when I look at "My Bets" it only shows the bet I placed tonight and not the one which I placed yesterday (still pending results, match is playing now) why would it not show up in my bets?

MollyRedskirts · 11/04/2016 22:13

I got gubbed with Coral this week too, looks like they might have done a mass review. I still have an account, but they emailed to tell me 'after careful review', they won't be offering me any free bets or enhanced odds.

Word of warning for those doing Paddy Power - they now own Betfair as of Feb this year. I got tripped up when opening my Paddy Power account and trying to deposit. They told me my card was already registered on an account (it is, on Betfair) and to contact customer services. I used a separate card instead to make the deposit, but it's proof in my opinion that they're using Betfair data to manage Paddy Power accounts too. It could have implications for laying off PP bets in Betfair as you're essentially taking value from them no matter what you do.

I used Smarkets to lay for the PP opening bonus and I'm going to continue to use it for any reload offers, as I think it might help keep my PP account open for longer.

MollyRedskirts · 11/04/2016 22:15

Cuntycowfacemonkey, there should be a separate option for showing settled bets. Don't panic, just click around in your account a bit more and you'll find the option. 'My bets' only shows open bets, I think.

cuntycowfacemonkey · 11/04/2016 22:28

Ok I'll scout around the bet wasn't closed at the time as it was a match that started at 19.45pm. I'll scout about and look for it. I still have the tab open from when I placed the bet yesterday and it is showing in the top corner so have screen shot it just in case. I'll be gutted if I've messed up on my first go but I followed everything to the letter so don't see how I could have? Just nervy as so far have invested £70 so would hate to lose that and then be put off trying again. It will be a great help if I can make a bit of money from this. I have a stinking migraine tonight though so think I'll take a fresh look in the morning!

Grinnypig · 12/04/2016 07:05

When you look at the my bets tab on Betfair it usually shows bets placed that day. You have to click on options and it will allow you to choose last 7 days or last 30 days.
I'm surprised so many of you have been gubbed. I haven't placed any mug bets yet.
Fresh princess. Try the risk free bingo first. I've made profits on those too. Make sure you read the PA instructions on spending your entire bonus on tickets quickly before you win anything.

Brysonette · 12/04/2016 09:59

Rorty - I did the opening Paddy Power offer and a week later the bingo offer. They seem to be treated separately so you can do both. I made £45 from the PP bingo!

MollyRedskirts · 12/04/2016 10:40

I think one of the hardest things is learning the layouts of all the different sites, but you get a feel for it after a while.

I haven't made that much as I started with a tiny float, then had an operation and couldn't sit at the PC until I recovered, but I stupidly kept paying for Profit Accumulator, so the fees for that have really eaten into my profits. I made £100 last week, so I'm hoping to do the same again this week.

freshprincess · 12/04/2016 12:02

Cunty - was it there?

ComingtoKent · 12/04/2016 18:40

Help please.

I've done my first back bet and lay bet ok. I won on the lay bet and have £33 in Betfair. The problem is that I'm following the step-by-step instructions on save the student and my next move should be to place my £30 free bet from Paddy Power. However, I only have a £10 free bet from Paddy Power. Possibly because I started all this on Grand National weekend as a previous poster suggested.

Anyway, the instructions only tell me what to put in my liability float and how much to lay bet if I'm betting exactly as they tell me. Am stuck! Any suggestions gratefully received.

I've only started this as a bit of fun and it won't be the end of the world if I get no further, but am annoyed to fall at the first hurdle!

freshprincess · 12/04/2016 20:06

Can you post which match and what odds?

ComingtoKent · 12/04/2016 20:21

Atletico Madrid v Barcelona. Back odds 3.4, lay odds 3.45.

freshprincess · 12/04/2016 20:45

£10 free bet with Paddy Power. back £10 at odds of 3.4
lay with Bet-fair at 3.45 as above. Lay £7.06 with liability of £17.30
Your profit will be £6.70 if you win or £6.71 if you lose.

I just looking on BF and your lay odds are coming down, so your back bet odds are probably too. I'm using the calculator on PA, but I'm sure there's a free one somewhere. Do they link to one?

ComingtoKent · 12/04/2016 20:49

Thanks very much freshprincess. I can't see a link to calculator - I'll have a look for a free one. I think one might have been mentioned earlier on this thread.

ComingtoKent · 12/04/2016 21:18

Right - I used the Oddsmonkey free calculator. I bet my free £10 then lay £7.16 (liability £17.68, but I already had £33 in Betfair).

Having played around with the figures a bit on Betfair, it seems that I could have put on a higher bet as it tells you what the liability would be for each amount if you click the + sign next to your stake amount. I nearly went up to the £33 liability I had "in the pot" but then chickened out.

So now I wait for the results tomorrow night. This is the most interest I have ever taken in football scores!

I'm going extremely slowly and hoping it will all fall into place in my mind as I go along. I can't begin to think how bingo and casino things work.

cuntycowfacemonkey · 12/04/2016 21:54

Haven't managed to view previous bet on betfair but I can see my balance has increased now the match has been played so feeling reassured. Waiting now for pending match on Thursday which I used my £30 free bet on so providing all goes smoothly and I can withdraw my profits I will work my way at though the offers on save the student.

Would love to crack on now and make some money but just need to make sure this first time goes by well!!!

Arrowminta · 12/04/2016 22:43

I have a question as I'm not sure what I'm doing.

On betfair there are 3 blue odds and 3 red odds, what do they mean? Do you select the first one to lay against, second for draw and is third to win.

Sorry if I sound thick.

cuntycowfacemonkey · 12/04/2016 22:50

Not sure I went to with red box that had the odds described on savethestudent
