I have been watching this with interest and sadness as I didn't know any FLbots in rl... Until now Grin

Friend of a friend with open profile.

So far this week we have at least 3 posts a day, many pimping out her children who are holding the products. Claims that Fl can cure everything to various animal ailments as well as anxiety in humans. Topped off with today's 'promotion' to supervisor. Bit confused how you can be self employed and promoted mind you.

I really though she was brighter than this.

NorbertDentressangle · 23/07/2015 20:08

FLbot update - she's relieved not to have to be forking out for childcare now that she's #sackedtheboss and is a #workingfromhomemama.

However next post is about how she's got meetings with her team this week in X,Y and Z (all places 2-4 hours drive away in opposite directions).... erm...Hmm....so what's happening with her DC then? Is she dragging them round the country with her? leaving them home alone?

Annie65 · 23/07/2015 20:29

The latest thing is being able to work from home naked, hope the fed-ex man doesnt come with a delivery oops lol

NorbertDentressangle · 23/07/2015 20:41

Naked?! Eek, hope we're spared those pictures.

There are plenty of working from her bed/from her garden in her pyjamas etc but thankfully no naked ones

fishboneschokus · 23/07/2015 21:18

Thanks Eye

I think that Robert Lifton speaks of 'thought reform' and 'thought stopping cliches' ie the script.

bettyberry · 23/07/2015 21:35

Annie65 - hey! I work from home and do it naked sometimes... saves on trying to wash printing in from my clothes :p

bettyberry · 23/07/2015 22:05

New FLbot is trying to stir interest with a competition by getting folk to like the page and share it. The prize.... hand soap.

Juice plus lady is moaning her jeans still don't fit (she's been doing juice plus for ages now)

the lady who did the 3 MLM businesses has announce she's adding more products to her range and is hosting a 'saucy chef' (ann summers meets jamie at home) party where she will reveal the new products. I am now curious! much salad tossing and other fun party games I wonder! Grin

xenu1 · 24/07/2015 08:44

bettyberry(?)
"salad tossing"? The urbandictionary/prison definition?

MN members should be particularly interested by this story which appeared two days ago:

fortune.com/2015/07/22/herbalife-twitter/

The bosses of the 'Herbalife MLM' racket are attempting to identify and prevent a Spanish-speaking Twitter user from excercizing his/her right to free speech. That said, it also remains a possibilty that these events are just another chapter in the reality-inverting 'MLM' fairy story (being spoon-fed to the mainstream media).

Compared with what Robert FitzPatrick and I have published on the Net about the wider-phenomenon of 'MLM income opportunity' cultic racketeering (and under our own names), this anonymous 'Herbalife' critic's efforts are insignificant, yet the 'Herbalife' bosses continue to ignore us.

lazycoo · 24/07/2015 09:18

lol not allowed to access that link on my work's computer - my mind will have to just boggle!

Eyespying · 24/07/2015 09:24

This story from yesterday, demonstrates how 'MLM income opportunity' cultic racketeers continue to use their ill-gotten gains to gnaw their way into the heart of traditional culture - to degree where the truth has become almost unthinkable.

www.marketwatch.com/story/herbalife-to-support-special-olympics-athletes-from-around-the-world-2015-07-23

When I read stomach-churning stories (like this one about the very-public generosity of the 'Herbalife' racketeers), the Jimmy Savile affair immediately springs to mind. I mean how could someone who selflessly raised so much for charity (and particularly for the disabled) have been an abusive and manipulative criminal?

bettyberry · 24/07/2015 09:51

Xenu - already knew. Just playing with words ;)

Elvish · 24/07/2015 14:11

I've been reading this thread over the last few days having lurked on the first one and my sense of horrified fascination has been growing. I was slightly sad at first that I don't have any FLbots on my FB but as I read more I was quite glad that I didn't know anyone who has been duped.

As I was reading more this lunch time a colleague came over to hand me a catalogue, some stuff his wife has got involved in, would I be interested. I took it and realised it's FL!!

I am horrified by the prices Shock the Lavender essential oil is £30.88 for 15ml, in H&B it's £8.49 for 20ml Hmm

bettyberry · 24/07/2015 14:22

Elvish - yes its really over priced and even the Organic essential oil is cheaper than the Forever living stuff. I don't get how it can be any more expensive than good quality stuff H&B sells?

In fact many of the products FL stock are found cheaper and with fewer chemicals (paraben free, guaranteed organic and with independent scientific tests on them) in any of those independent stores.

In fact it is worth noting this about aloe www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/aloe/safety/hrb-20058665 and many FL advocates encourage everyone to drink the juice and apply the cream to everything.

Its the health promises that bug the hell out of me.

Any product that claims to do so much is too good to be true.

bettyberry · 24/07/2015 14:26

also... local FL page... now claiming ALOE is good for chicken pox. Best add that to the ever increasing list of medical complaints it can 'fix'

lastuseraccount123 · 24/07/2015 16:34

I screen-shot the mayo clinic page about aloe because I thought it's worth noting all the possible side effects:

lastuseraccount123 · 24/07/2015 16:36

Aloe - now with increased risk of colorectal cancer!

low blood sugar!

hives!

irregular heartbeat!

Annie65 · 24/07/2015 16:58

What really worries me is the fact they encourage children to drink the gel, putting the gelly on babies gums for teething, now a lot of products say not for use on children under 6 months old, but there is nothing written on Fl products about this. Aloe vera is a natural laxative anyhow, I tried the bee products and had diarrhoea the next day, might have been coincidence, but I am an adult and it was my decision to try it . Its one thing using creams and soaps etc, but to take it orally every day I personally wouldnt do. Dont agree with a product you can use on humans and animals anyway. Its all to dear anyhow. I personally wouldnt take the chance on young children and babies .

bettyberry · 24/07/2015 17:01

lastuseraccount123 agreed! Some of those are scary esp when FL advocates their aloe is the highest concentration and the purest.

Peacheykeen · 24/07/2015 17:59

Agreed it is worrying FLbot gives her kids the "bits and peaches" to her children every and when her dd has tonsilitus she gives her the actual Aloe jelly that is supposed to be for burns and skin conditions she gives her this orally to swallow for her sore throat! She also encourages customers to give it to teething babies Shock

bettyberry · 24/07/2015 18:20

Peacheykeen good god what is that woman thinking! the fact its a natural laxative...

Also the jelly has ingredients that are not safe to eat! best thing for sore throats is bloody warm water! Angry

I don't know if this is general stupidity or suckered in by this 'wonder cr*p'

Peacheykeen · 24/07/2015 18:55

I know Betty sadly she is so indoctrinated she really believes it can cure anything she's not the sharpest tool in the box if I'm honest and just believes what the higher up gurus tell her. Today she has put up a post about people judging her but she knows where her futures headed and that she will succeed. All very sad and pathetic really.
