WANTED: 12 lovely mums for a new book club

Hello, My name is Dominique, I am a keen reader and I just find this idea of a book club fabulous. I was too late for joining the last thread s I guess the best is to start a new one. I am a mother of 2 (3 years and a great reader of 12) My house is full of books (in french and english.....

Does anyone have any thouhgts about how Cariboo can be added in? I feel mean saying no, but am concerned about how it will all work out. When Wiseoldelf joined I worked out that on the last month I will need to forward on my book to her and will then receive her own book a month later......I think! But now we are more months into it I am really not sure how it would work.
Brain has gone to sleep already tonight, so does anyone have any inspiration?

Are there only about 7 of us? What if Cariboo could hang on for another couple of months until the month when we all get our books back and then jump in then when we set off for a second round of books.

Also someone isn't going to get their book back are they, because Mamandomi never bothered to forward on the book she received.

Or (and this is just my brain turning) when I think HC1 gets the Alexander McCall Smith book which is MD's she forwards it on to Cariboo so that Cariboo would slot in where MD was, but that would probably be in the month where we all get our books back, so again back to my first suggestion.

It's all a bit confusing, I'd love for Cariboo to join in because now it seems to be running smoothly I'm really enjoying the book club, but I can't see how we can work it until the current set of books have done the rounds.

Anyone got anything better than me to see how we can fit her in?

Baby's here! Victoria arrived at 10.20am on 10/02/2010... she is an angel and as you mums will all understand - I am so in love with her - even her cries and poos are amazing.

I don't really want to drop out, but I am not sure how committed I can be and therefore maybe cariboo could take my place? She'll get my book last and then she could send it back to me? I'll send my current book to LBAM and jamais can send her current one to cariboo?

Does that work? 1 handed typng here!

Sorry to be a flake but if someone wants to join I am happy to drop out.

Really pleased everything went well and that Victoria is here safely.

I have cat-ed cariboo to find out if she wants to take your place, otherwise I can just send on to LBAM directly.

Iirc you currently have mamandomi's book, so there's no rush to send that off to anyone as she has dropped out.

Maybe you can just slot back in with that one whenever you feel like it?

Many congrats Flyingcloud hope you and Victoria are well she sounds just gorgeous. Stick a picture on your profile and so we can all coo over her.

Maybe take some time out and then come back to us in a few months when we have completed our first cycle and jump back in there.

It sounds like a good plan to have Cariboo slot in , if she still wants to join us!

I hadn't heard from Cariboo so was preparing to send direct to LBAM.

Just had an email from her so am waiting for her address and LBAM's.

So then I can send to Cariboo, and Cariboo can send to LBAM.

LBAM can you email me please - I have catted you.

I am ready to post on to Cariboo.

JJ - I have Flying clouds email address if you have no luck with LBAM. She will have her address as she was sending to her originally, so may be a way of getting her address????

Wiseoldelf - Has the book arrived yet?

Yes I might get it from you PA, it's just that I don't want to get Cariboo to send on to LBAM if LBAM doesn't send her book on this month.

I have catted her and posted on a couple of threads she was on today but no luck so far.

I will send to Cariboo anyway tomorrow.
