I love reading and now that DS can entertain himself for a while trashing my lounge is 8 mo I am finally getting back into the swing of things. But I always read the same kind of books and so would love to have something different sprung on me!

Here's the basics of how it works (thank you Flamesparrow)

How it works

[ Arti sits back and waits for the flood of recruits, hoping that she doesn't end up looking like a no-mates...]

Congratulations pooter! She's a cutie! Glad that all is going well and that brother and sister are bonding! Hope you are getting a chance to put your feet up.

How is everyone getting on? Any books MIA?

Congratulations Pooter - what wonderful news and good to here that all is going well.

DD2 is now 14 months old and being a mum of 2 is something you get used to pretty quickly!

Aristocat thank you for the book - I picked it up from the sorting office today and already read the first chapter whilst in the car wash! Will have to keep at it though as it is quite a biggie!

Posted to PistachioLemon on Thursday so hopefully book and chocs will be with you shortly.

stickylittlefingers · 06/03/2010 19:10

Pooter wonderful news! Your ds sounds lovely too. Hope you are getting some sleep (and quality reading time!) too!

Bugger I have it - thanks! And I think the choc is going to go with some good no-brain film watching this evening. We've (dp and me) been really busy this last week or so, so I think we need a total de-stress this evening - no looking at those pesky blackberries or owt! A small glass of something too, mayhap...

I posted my last book around last Thursday (25th was it?) so hopefully it's arrived by now...

Must go and put the small grubby ones in the bath. They've been making birds nests for homeless birds all over our garden - I think there may be a lot of dead leaves on the floor when the jumpers come off

Hi everyone. Oh Pooter, Bethan is gorgeous and making me VERY broody for #2!!! I haven't posted my book yet - sorry Maria - but will get it in the post on Monday. Ladybee posted me this month's book at the beginning of February. I had already read it though so will try and post thoughts soonish. Am currently wading through The Children's Book, which I am enjoying although it is quite densely populated and thick with details about the decorative arts and socialism!

LolaLadybird · 06/03/2010 22:47

Huge congratulations Pooter! Had to smile at your DS rubbing his hands over Bethan's face. When DS came along, DD seemed v keen on 'cuddling' him in a rather dubious fashion (ie. squeezing the living daylights out of him!).

Enjoy the middle of the night reading. I remember getting a lot of reading done in the small hours but nothing more taxing than Shopaholics Something or other - all my brain could cope with at the time!

Itsjustafleshwound · 07/03/2010 14:17

Pooter - congrats!! It was only a few pages/months back we were all offering advice about morning sickness!!

Enjoy life in stereo - it's great!!

Thank you Lola for the book and chocolate which came yesterday. Book looks intriguing ...

TheBuggerofSuburbia · 10/03/2010 12:24

Congratulations Pooter.

I haven't received my book for this month yet - has anyone heard from PistachioLemon?

artifarti · 12/03/2010 19:43

Bugger - I will email her when I get a mo. Is anyone else missing in action?

Itsjustafleshwound · 26/03/2010 16:41

Pooter - hope all is well with you and your new family!! I have tried to beat the Easter bunny this month and posted your book and chocolate today - hope it arrives.

Take care and Happy Easter to all - it seems like just yesterday I was packing away the Christmas decorations ...

Dysgu · 27/03/2010 10:21

I have just finished this month's book (original included by LolaLadybird) so aristocat it is good news to see I will be getting the next one a bit early.

I hope to package and post in the next day or so PistachioLemon as we are off on holiday at the end of the week - from one end of the country to the other!

Hope all are keeping well and Happy Easter to everyone.

artifarti · 01/04/2010 07:07

POSTING DAY!!!!!

aristocat - sorry I haven't quite finished the book yet so you won't get it until after Easter. Hope this doesn't leave you bereft of Bank Holiday reading.

Happy Easter everyone.

Happy Easter!!!

stickylittlefingers · 01/04/2010 10:36

Hi - just realised my great plan of working from home today means that I don't have chocolate or a postal service within easy reach... Can I post on Tuesday? I promise I will not move from the naughty step between now and Tuesday, and will think about my behaviour...

artifarti · 01/04/2010 11:12

Oooh, you scared me there for a minute aristo... slf - did you put that bunny on your message? I've never seen such a thing on MN before!

Can't believe how quickly this year has gone! Only four more books to read out of fourteen!

OP posts:
stickylittlefingers · 01/04/2010 11:29

oh my lord - no I didn't! How on earth?

That's the weirdest weirdest thing

pooter · 01/04/2010 11:46

that is so odd slf but i see it as a fried egg!!

Itsjusta I received your parcel yesterday thankyou, book is read an choc scoffed already! Its these night wakings - either read or listen to the shipping forecast!

Bethan is piling on the weight - probably 'cos im still feeding ds1 my supply is very established. We had to get her tonue-tie snipped today though as it was causing problems with feeding. It was over in a trice and didnt seem to bother her much.

muddleduck i posted yours yesterday - on time for once!

pooter · 01/04/2010 11:47

stickylittlefingers · 01/04/2010 11:49
