A thread for all of us who were due in 2010 and who've bonded through the last few weeks.

It doesn't matter where your head/heart's at on this journey at the moment just as long as you want some company....

And the rubbish continues...DP's buyers pulled out today. We were a matter of weeks from completion & hoping to be all together by the beginning of December. Gutted is an understatement. Was one thing that had gone right this year & something positive to look forward to.Sad

The agents phoned him & said that he was worried house prices may drop next year so is obviously thinking he may get more for his money. They have already had 7 grand knocked off the asking price & will have paid out quite a bit in solicitor fees as we have had two surveys done & were hoping to complete by the end of next month.
Poor DP is feeling deflated & I am feeling gutted. I was so looking forward to us finally all being together by Christmas & now it won't be happening.
Just feel like all the big things we have had to look forward to have come to nothing - first the baby & now this.Sad

Velvetcu · 26/10/2010 20:04

Aww Pink it really has been tough for you. I hope things get sorted for you soon.

Loopy how did it go??

How is everyone else?

Ah I am really pleased for you, Loopy.Smile

I don't know, I think he is pressing on with trying to sell it, which means back to square one, where we were when I first found out I was pregnant.
Was one thing that seemed to be going right for us at the end of this awful year, and now that has gone wrong too. Finding it hard to pick myself up & dust myself off, I really am.Sad

fordypops · 01/11/2010 08:58

Velvetcu · 01/11/2010 22:39

How is everyone doing?

youremindmeofthebonfire · 04/11/2010 09:19

Morning. How are we all?

pink anything doing with the house? Hope you and the family are well.

fordy how are you? squeezes for you.

mcktastic are you well? back to the daily grind?

loopy hows bean and the family? looking forward to Christmas?

velvet how are you? see you in passing over there, how's things going?

All ok here. Not feeling too happy at the min, but it'll pass. I think the weather etc isn't helping either. I love Christmas, but not November so much. I haven't run for a fortnight either, so that won't be helping my mood.

Velvetcu · 04/11/2010 18:20

Bonfire I feel shitty. This is my last chance for a BFP before due date too and I'm finding the MC more and more in my thoughts atm.

Also am snowed under at work (despite passing OFSTED!)which isnt helping.

Hope everyone else is good!

youremindmeofthebonfire · 04/11/2010 19:36

Me too(shitty)! I'm hoping that the day isn't as bad as the run up. Am probably pre-menstrual too, which is not helping matters..
How come work's so kerazy?

Thanks Loopy at least one of us is upduffed eh? :)

At work, I got a promotion which is a ton of extra work but on Monday they decided Science were gonna offer a new qualification too and somehow I am leading that and they want me to start teaching it on Monday! My head is spinning! It is definately not gonna help with the TTC this month thats for sure.

Am finding fertilityfriend very interesting even if its not helpful with ttc - i never realised all this shift in temperature and stuff went on!

youremindmeofthebonfire · 05/11/2010 07:46

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel awkward.SmilePlease don't. Hope the bean's treating you well.

That sounds like a lot of hard work, velvet. And not particularly in a good, take your mind off it kind of way.

Hey girls :) Good to hear from you all :) :)

Know how hectic new job/promotion is Velvet - last few weeks have been manic for me on that front. Sorry you and YRMOTB are feeling shitty - loving the way the B changes to suit the date by the way :) - fingers crossed everything works out soon.
Glad to hear all going well Loopy - have been reading your other threads and think with all your knowledge you're destined to become a MW if that's what you eventually decide!
How's you Fordy? Hope life doesn't get too hectic at work over the party season.
Really sorry to hear about DPs house Pink. We have two houses too although DPs is sitting idle :(
Whispering some news from me - I'm pregnant again! Due around my bday which is spooky as twins were due at DPs. Early days but we had our dating scan yest and all looks well :) Am sorry I haven't said sooner - haven't been keeping well at all and really still don't believe it. Am thinking of you all xxx

Velvetcu · 06/11/2010 12:56

Wow McKT thats wonderful news :) am very please for you and of course extremely jealous! Very spooky about the due date.

So you and Loopy need to share your secrets for success!

If I'm honest Velvet I felt same when Loopy announced - delighted but jealous Blush. Think we were lucky although had been using opk sticks. Ovulated late the month it worked (day 16). Was shocked we got a BFP as had been at GP with what I thought was another infection a few days earlier - he got a BFN and said it was conclusive which left me feeling pretty gutted. BFP three days later. On the 'infection' front had been feing same every month since I lost twins which has made me wonder if there have been a few chem pregnancies.

Loopy - will ob be delighted if we get to have a healthy baby this time but would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit gutted when we found out it wasn't twins - still feel v sick when I hear of people with twins or expecting twins Blush. Weirdly I have been told there's an ovarian cyst there this time too which both DP and I at first thought was no2 - body can be cruel :( It was still there yest (we've had 2 scans but hopefully won't cause any probs) will just be delighted to have one (due exactly a year after mmc ended).

Love to everyone else x

youremindmeofthebonfire · 07/11/2010 17:57

Congratulations! Oh, you must be so chuffed! you must be around as far gone as loopy then? Woohoo! Hope you're treating yourself well.

fordypops · 07/11/2010 19:42

congrats to you to McKTastic!!

I am around but not to sure what to say right now x

I shall be back though just having a tough time right now x

Velvetcu · 07/11/2010 19:50

what's up Fordy?

fordypops · 08/11/2010 17:44

wellll, my friend at work has started her maternity leave and whilst I have been finding it harder since losing my nan it seems to be all hitting me at once. She's not here and neither is my bump Sad

I am sure I'll work through it, i'm just retreating again. I'll be ok xx

Velvetcu · 08/11/2010 21:08

Sorry you are feeling bad Fordy - grief is so horrible isnt it. My friend who is a week behind where i should be has just gone on maternity leave too so I know how you feel on that one. I'm starting to worry she'll be a week early and steal my date.

You have had a rough year so make sure you look after yourself and I am here if you need to talk about anything - I'm not as together as some of the others seem to be!
