Empty pregnancy sac

I had a scan on Thursday when I thought I was 11 weeks. They could see an empty sac which measured 5 weeks. I know my dates are not that far out.
They took bloods and informed me my hormone levels are high suggesting that my dates are right and my body isn't getting rid of the pregnancy
I have to go back on Thursday for another scan. I am bleeding and have cramps. Has Anyone had a similar experience and did you miscarry naturally?
I just feel in limbo right now 😞

Thinking of you today @Samk79

I'm feeling really low today, feel like I've completely pushed dh away but don't know how to make it better. I'm tired and just want this to be over :(

Samk79 · 25/03/2019 09:13

@VenusStarr thank you. I feel emotional as I want it to be over but feel like I'm wishing it away. It's hard as I've still got pregnancy symptoms

I think going through this and waiting pits a huge strain on any relationship, I know I have pushed my other half away too x

It's very cruel how our bodies can trick us @Samk79, I don't understand how our bodies can't know :(

I'm sorry you're feeling emotional, I think it's to be expected. Is your partner going euth you today? X

Samk79 · 25/03/2019 09:29

@VenusStarr I agree, it's horrible as I still feel so bloated 😞
My partner can't take me so a friend is but he should get there for about lunchtime today.

@Samk79 best of luck today, will be thinking of you x

Samk79 · 25/03/2019 09:38

Thank you @chocolatelog and @VenusStarr
Hopefully I can start to move on after today

Good luck @Samk79, it will be hard but I do think today will help to bring you some closure, either by letting you know that your body has taken care of it naturally, or through the surgery.

I'm back at work today and actually doing better than expected, but may be because I have a quiet Monday and am mostly doing admin work in my office. I feel like there is a line between this and my real life and am not feeling the emotion in the same way that I do when I'm at home.

Hoping everyone else is OK today.

VenusStarr · 25/03/2019 16:50

How did things go today @Samk79?

Hope work continued to be good for you today @coconutlatte44

sophied1983 · 25/03/2019 16:58

How are you doing ladies? I'm now on antibiotics as they think I had an infection from the op. Bleeding went dark brown/stringy which is normal, but is now pale pink and watery (2.5wks after op) so do keep an eye on it.

chocolatelog · 25/03/2019 17:00

@sophied1983 mines pink and watery. Is there any symptoms if you have an infection? X

sophied1983 · 25/03/2019 17:07

Can be cramping/smelly discharge. Bleeding over two weeks. Mine started off pink/red, then went brown which is what it should do. But then when pink and watery again.

I had what felt like period pains last week, that heavy feeling you get which is what concerned me.

VenusStarr · 25/03/2019 17:17

Sorry to hear you have an infection @sophied1983, hope the antibiotics clear things up quickly for you.

Samk79 · 25/03/2019 17:29

Thanks for all your thoughts ladies. It's all done, still on the ward, got quite a lot of pain and and bleeding but hopefully can go home soon xx

VenusStarr · 25/03/2019 18:19

Hope you can go home soon and get some rest euth painkillers @Samk79

Samk79 · 25/03/2019 18:44

How's everyone doing?

Samk79 · 26/03/2019 16:45

Hi @chocolatelog I'm okay, still in a bit of pain and feeling very emotional today. How are you doing?

OP posts:
chocolatelog · 26/03/2019 17:08

Bless you @Samk79 hope your recovery is quick, the first few days are a bit painful.

I'm a lot better today, bleeding has turn brown and is very light and the pain has gone. I still can't do my jeans up though, so bloated.

Samk79 · 26/03/2019 17:16

@chocolatelog I've been living in my leggings lately, I can't wait to be able to wear my jeans again!
I didn't sleep well last night which I don't think helped, have had a very lazy day today. It's hard as I feel like I'm grieving even though there was no baby there 😞

OP posts:
VenusStarr · 26/03/2019 17:18

Glad you're feeling better @chocolatelog. Sorry you're in pain today @Samk79.

I'm OK, counting down until Friday. Not done much at all today, feel like it's a bit of a wasted day but maybe that's what I need.

Hope everyone else is OK today

Samk79 · 26/03/2019 17:20

@VenusStarr thinking of you, it's horrible as you feel like you are in limbo!

VenusStarr · 26/03/2019 17:26

@Samk79 from everything I've read blighted ovum accounts for a lot of miscarriages, something like 50%. I think the difference is that our bodies didn't register so we had to find out at a scan. So what I'm saying is don't feel like you can't grieve. To me, it was a baby Flowers x

VenusStarr · 26/03/2019 17:27

And thank you @Samk79 x
