sebs I also think that 8 DPO is too early too test... I also crave butter!Grin

just That sounds promising! Looks as if they are trying their best to let you have as natural a birth as possible.

longest As far as I know, the key/main function of progesterone is to aid implantation, but I reckon that goes hand in hand with preparing the lining, so the two would be connected. No idea how the selectivity aspect comes into it, though, I've never really understood that aspect.

jady Can you call Coventry maybe to chase things up?

Not much new here. Spotting has tapered off again... I alternate between feeling nauseous and being ravenous, and feeling sick because I am ravenous. I actually joined Slimming World a few weeks ago, and they let pg people continue, so I am hoping that I might be able to keep my weight gain a bit more in check this time.

Marchgirl · 07/05/2015 13:49

Arrrrgh. Colleague has brought the bloody baby back again. It is currently being changed on the desk right next to me. F**k off!

Sunandrainbow · 07/05/2015 14:05

march - definitely time for a coffee long break AngryAngryAngry

Jady77 · 07/05/2015 14:10

Oh March, hugs. Wish she'd just piss off for your sake!! 2ww are stressful enough!

Right I've just spoken to Kerri, scan booked for next Fri when I'll be 5+6 and she's chasing up lab results, but thinks she may get them today. She said they won't prescribe the heparin until they've checked everything is OK in scan so next Fri may be too early and then I'd have to go back Monday, but we'll see. My worry is that previous losses have measured 6weeks and 6+1, I know someone mentioned Tanny getting the heparin even sooner so I'll ask about that at telephone consultation which should be early next week. Grow baby grow!!

Minnie74 · 07/05/2015 16:33

Sat waiting for my mum to have a pacemaker fitted so I'm trying to catch up!

mrsd great news on the scan!

girlie sorry the scan wasn't more helpful but it's early days still. Fingers crossed for the next time.

march why the hell does your colleague keep bringing the baby in? Doesn't she have better things to do! Definitely break time!

jady glad you've got the scan booked- something to think about and aim for I found. Get growing baby j!

sebs 8dpo is still early- don't give up yet!

me2 I'm worried the prog will make me too selective too. Twice it has taken us up to 18 months to get pg so I really can't afford to delay it more! I'm even thinking not to bother with Cov and just go for it and hope for the best.

Very fed up today about all the people in rl who are posting about scans. Two close local friends posted right after each other and I should be doing it too. I'm so pissed off and Envy

And my CBFM usually goes to high from day 8 with peak around day 11 and still bloody nothing this morning. No ewcm no cm (sorry tmi!) at bloody all! I'm worried the misopostril from the medical management has cocked it all up. So I won't be able to go to Cov this month either if it doesn't turn up. I so haven't got this time to waste! AngrySadConfused

Sorry for missing people, I'll try to scroll back and catch up after this post. Xxx

Flen · 07/05/2015 16:35

jady glad you've got things in motion. Go baby J!

minnie hope your mum is ok. Flowers

march RAWR!!!

Marchgirl · 07/05/2015 17:19

Hope your mum is doing ok minnie, glad to hear it sounds like something that can be controlled.

Colleague claimed she'd come in to try and keep on top of emails. Wtf? When i had an 8 week old baby there's no way I was thinking about work emails. Angry

tannyLoo · 07/05/2015 17:33

Jady, I was seen for my early location scan in Coventry when I was 4+3. Mainly because I was a complete wreck, but also because I explained that all my losses were before 6 weeks so to wait til then would possibly be too late. I badgered them with daily phone calls to get my results, but they weren't back before the scan, so Prof B prescribed steroids at the same time as a just in case measure. As it's just a location scan it doesn't need to have a hb or anything, just be in the right place...

Great you've got it booked, but if you think it should be sooner, do phone and explain...

tannyLoo · 07/05/2015 17:39

March, I feel a bit sorry for your colleague. To be even thinking about leaving your baby at such a young age! Makes me feel so sad that she either wants to or needs to return so early...
I agree that her bringing her baby with her is wrong though, just shows that she should still be at home looking after it!

Frecklefire · 07/05/2015 18:19

Minnie** - thinking of you and your mum. Hope today is a successSmile

March** i dont think that mum is coping, she doesnt seem to want to be at home with the baby on her own. Work seems to be a preferabke place, which i think is a bit odd...

So i am on the two week knicker watching wait. Now 6 days post ov and will start the progesterone tomorrow - day 35 of cycle.

Marchgirl · 07/05/2015 18:38

Maybe i shouldn't be too hard on her. Perhaps she is struggling a bit (although she seems quite relaxed at work and it's her second, her first was born same time as my dd). It's just a bit inappropriate to bring him in.

Frecklefire · 07/05/2015 18:45

It really is march** i wouldnt be happy if i was the manager either, her always hovering, putting people off work. She needs to fuck off and get a life! Take those children to a petting farm or simething!!!

Sunandrainbow · 07/05/2015 19:23

minnie - hope it went well for your mum today hun.

I'm so over facebook scan photos - today's gem asking if it is team pink or blue. Either you found out at the scan in which case you already know, or you didn't and are now asking people to squint at a grainy image on facebook, probably on a phone screen. Ffs.

Daisybell1 · 07/05/2015 19:34

Minnie - thinking of you and your mum today, really hope she's ok.

Just, so sorry if I've panicked you by mentioning the placentra acreta.

I can't remember who was asking re time to get pg after cov. I had my procedure in Nov and no pg since (I normally get pg first go). I've been on a ban for the last 2 months with having the hysteroscopy and then the coils in afterwards. Prof Quenby has cut me down to prog just after +bfp rather can cd21.

Hello to everyone else.

Catlover2014 · 07/05/2015 19:43

Longest my understanding is that progresterone maintains the luteal phase, that's the bit after you've ovulated and before your period comes. It's a critical phase as its when the embryo inbeds into the uterus.

For some unexplained reason my body cannot make or use protesterone properly so my luteal phase is normally only 8-9 days when it should ideally be more like 14 days. I have no doubt that without progesterone supplementation from cd21 I would never have got a BFP and then without strong enough cyclogest I would have just miscarried again and again.

Doctors and consultants will assert that progesterone treatment is not proven. My husband and I didn't get a BFP over five years of trying naturally and with various treatments. We always conceived very quickly on the progresterone. I don't believe it can be a coincidence. X

Catlover2014 · 07/05/2015 19:44

Lots of typos there, clicked send too soon. Where auto correct has been random I do mean to say progesterone of course!!!

Justonemoretime · 07/05/2015 19:46

Daisy, don't worry, I was going to Google it anyway Smile

Minnie, best wishes to your mum.

March, your colleague's behaviour does seem odd (as well as inappropriate, and understandably upsetting). She must be using up all her kit days, but weird that she feels the need to come in all the time. Hope she gives up and stops it soon. Also, apparently there's this thing called the internet that let's you check your email at home, or wherever. #justsayin' (too much passive aggressive?) Wink

CheesyMash · 07/05/2015 19:55

minnie hope your mums op went ok today.

freckle I'll be starting progesterone tomorrow too. I Wasn't actually able to pinpoint ovulation tho so just going on what my app says.

Saying that though I did an opk today and the line was darker (after nothing there yesterday) so not sure if ovulation has just been delayed and will now happen or my hormones are just skewed...?! Confused Sort of telling myself if I just stick to the dates on my app it will all fall in line for next cycle...hhhmmmm!!

march that is strange for her to keep coming into the office when her baby is only 8 wks old!! It sounds to me like maybe shes not enjoying it and therefore needs to do something else...

mrsdiddlydoo · 07/05/2015 20:04

jady all they check for is the location of the pregnancy. If there's more I think it's a bonus. They did try to push me to wait till closer to 6 weeks so there would be more to see but I went when I was 5+2. Only real reason was that we were going away so an earlier appointment was better. My MCs have been towards the end of the first tri. If you're worrying about it see if you can go next Monday instead maybe? Don't worrying about pestering them. They understand our worries.

Minnie hope your mum is ok.

In my ongoing saga to secure my next prescription of progesterone and heparin I have received an appt to see a gynae on 18th June. Assuming things stay good I'd be over 12 weeks by then so probably trying to stop/wean myself off things. No idea what's going on but I think my gp will have to take my case to the partners to get permission for the drugs. They weren't happy prescribing them without me being under a consultant's care. Worse case I can see another road trip to Coventry.

Brummiegirl15 · 07/05/2015 20:49

Evening all. Minnie how is your Mum? Hope she's doing ok.

March FFS is all I have to say on your behalf!!!!! Angry

Well we've started DTD and am on day 7. It was a bit stop start last night and DP couldn't finish, plus couldn't finish first attempt this morning. It really freaked me out but it upset him so he jumped back into bed after the shower and managed to finish!!!!

Did really worry me though.

I hope everyone is ok. Been a long day and I'm exhausted. Sorry for not being more chatty....

xx

Boozle80 · 07/05/2015 21:38

Mrs can you ring Coventry and get a letter of support - it might sway your GP?

Frecklefire · 07/05/2015 21:46

Mrs - maybe we coukd all post you any spare cyclogest?! I have about 15 200mg sups left over from last miscarrige?!!!

Jady77 · 07/05/2015 21:49

Thanks Diddly and Tanny. I am worrying so I'm going to call back in the morning. I rechecked my dates and first mc started 5+3 so really don't want to wait. But I'm also rubbish at pushing things so it's really helpful to hear you say about pestering, thanks Diddly. And good luck with the prescription saga, sounds similar to the problems I've been having.

Minnie I hope your mum's op was a success.

mrsdiddlydoo · 07/05/2015 22:02

jady I am truly rubbish at pushing for things so I know how it feels, but if there's one thing I've learnt from all the lovely ladies on here it's that if you need something doing rmc associated, you have to be pushy and stand up for yourself. And you don't need to have attitude to do it. Coventry is the one place that understands so give kerri a call back in the morning and explain your concerns that you might mc again before the appt and I am certain they will find a way to see you sooner. Don't waste energy worrying about. xx

bootles I'll offer to do that when I speak to my gp on Monday. I can't see them letting me run out. I've already made it clear I want the treatment to continue and take full responsibility for everything. Worse case a road trip costs us less than a private scan.

freckle I'm not due to run out of anything for another couple of weeks but if I get low I'll put a shout out! Thank you Smile

Boozle80 · 07/05/2015 22:04

I might have some cyclogest left over too - I'll have a dig :)
