Sebs Tanny Cloud and everyone else whose hearts are breaking a bit more tonight, big big hugs.

I miss my babies every single day xx

Glenpip77 · 02/05/2015 21:32

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Having read through the posts it sounds like we have all been through the mill, some of you far more than me.

Sorry to hear some of you are struggling with the royal baby announcement - I have republican views so not impressed by wall to wall 'news' coverage for lots of reasons.

Sasha, sorry to hear you are having a rough time, hope you have managed to get plenty if time off work to give yourself the space to come to terms with this horrible situation. Sounds like you've made good progress on getting tests sorted so hopefully you will get some answers soon x

I'm currently waiting to see if I get emotionally whacked by this MC as I've had no tears or anything yet. Spent the day at my DDs joint birthday party with my nct friends (who all know about my mcs), and was even cuddling their new babies and talking to one of them who is due the same time I was and that didn't even affect me!! Trying to figure out if it because I'm too used to this, suppressing my emotions or because we have so much going on as hubby is less than 2 weeks post op and has just had a major relapse in his OCD and anxiety disorder so is on cloud 9 with mess at the mo.

Off to docs on tues to get referral to recurrent MC clinic so will take it from there. Has anyone ever come across high prolactin causing issues with progesterone production during your tests. I never stopped producing milk after I stopped breast feeding my daughter over 3 yrs ago so potentially have high prolactin. I've found a couple of studies which indicate this may be a issue. Just wondered if anyone has come across this.

Sorry for such a long post Smile

Oh my god - last episode of poldark - i was a MESS! Seriously, that's exactly why i don't watch anything sad, read anything gritty or listen to my beloved Smiths. I have to live in a protected bubble - there's just too much pain in the real world to indulge in fictional too!

Sweary/potty mouth warning...

So oh my fucking GOD my cycle is SO MESSED UP! Remember how i never ov'ed days 18-21, and came to the conclusion that accupuncture had made me ov earlier than i started testing and i'd probably get af earlier too. Well, not so! Have had loads of c.m last few days and feeling horny, so bought digital ov test, and i am ov'ing now - DAY 30 of my cycle WTF!!! Now, do i ttc, or do you think there's got to be something wrong with an egg that had a folicular phase of 30 days, God damn it!!!!! PLEASE ADVISE!!!!

sebsmummy1 · 02/05/2015 22:18

I would advise pregnancy tests for both of you girls. Sasha - because if you've still got pregnancy hormone in your system post ERPC it will turn an opk positive, so I'd go an hpt first, see if it's neg and if it is then opk could definitely be signifying ovulation. Weirdly you can also get a pos opk just before AF comes so that can be a head fuck.

Freckle - have you got an hpt to have to make sure you aren't actually pregnant, this getting a very weird pos opk?

Frecklefire · 02/05/2015 22:26

I am not pregnant. Have not had sex since feb 1st and have had mc since then (was far far far too down to contemplate sex before...)

Brummiegirl15 · 02/05/2015 22:29

Don't forget ladies I had a positive OPK on day 36 and AF started on day 37 - total headfuck

sebsmummy1 · 02/05/2015 22:32

Ah ok, well that does seem awfully late to ovulate so I wonder if it's a preAF positive.

This is the first time ive ever used a digital...can u get a pre af posirive? Plus - there is plemty of c.m (sorry if tmi). Should i dtd, or accept that chance of mc with such a cycle woyld be too high???

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/05/2015 22:39

Sorry you find yourself here glen but its full of amazing ladies that will offer great advice and company.

Totally random thing just happened to us. Dh won a raffle to set a huge wickerman on fire. Shit like that never happens to us. Wouldn't usually have bought a ticket but had 50p rattling round in my pocket. And the wickerman had my wish inside him... Again something I don't usually bother with. Surely my wish has to come true now right? Feeling a bit like maybe our luck can and will change. Wonder how long it will last for Hmm

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/05/2015 22:40

(Didn't mean to interrupt you ladies. Just had to share)

longestlurkerever · 02/05/2015 23:06

freckle I always ovulate around CD28-30 as my cycle is 42-44 days.Obviously I am not a shining example of fertility but I have had two successful pregnancies now with that cycle and no Dr ever took my fears about my cycle terribly seriously and just said some women have long cycles so I say go for it if you want to ttc.

Hugs sebs so sorry for your lost daughter.

Welcome Glen. So sorry to read about all you're going through. I hope you find this thread as helpful as I have.

Love to all finding today hard. Xx

barkingtreefrog · 02/05/2015 23:09

freckle I really don't know, normal for me is to ov cd19-22 but cd30 seems way too late - apparently you can have two surges in a cycle, if your body doesn't manage to ovulate at the first surge it will try again. You can tell if you get a +opk but then no temp rise. Perhaps there's something in that?

sasha clomid does carry a slightly increased risk of mc, as do iui/ivf. I'm suprised that you would be prescribed it if you can get pg naturally, due this and the risk of multiples, which would be a high risk pg.

Brummiegirl15 · 02/05/2015 23:26

I thought I'd ovulated twice in 1 cycle which was really confusing. This was 2nd AF post mc. Ovulated on day 10 like normal and then nothing. I had a bit of spotting mid cycle so wondered if that was it for AF so did opk a bit later, was positive (so promptly booked Cov) then had AF next day on day 37 and had to rearrange Cov!!!

DP broached subject today (after a few drinks) how many attempts we would have. We decided we don't know yet but we realise there might come a time when we can't carry on like this. I hope we never get to it as I am so not ready to give up yet.

But the thought of TTC fills me with utter terror. I am so so frightened, the thought of it actually makes me get a lump in my throat

Jady77 · 02/05/2015 23:28

Welcome Glen, sorry you find yourself here though.

Sorry AF arrived Flen, I was kinda still holding out some hope.

I'd take that luck Diddly!

Ovulation is still mostly a mystery to me Freckle, have never pin pointed it even with a positive opk. So many anomalies that can happen too.

Sunandrainbow · 02/05/2015 23:33

freckle - after my first mc, I assumed I would have a long cycle (usually 26 days) and used opks from day 14. On day 28 I got a positive and then got AF the next day. I'm not sure what the sticks pick up at that point, but maybe af is just on its way.

sasha - may be worth you popping across to a thread called something like the pred thead. Am sure have seen a discussion on there about some people being given chlomid for mc - think they called it super ovulation and had been recommended by one of the london mc doctors if remember correctly.

cloud - hope you are holding up ok hun.

x

Sunandrainbow · 02/05/2015 23:34

And glen - welcome. These ladies are great.

Jady77 · 02/05/2015 23:37

I know what you mean Brummie, I was picking fights with DP and generally jeopardising our dtd 2 weeks ago. But you have a different treatment plan this time round. New lining, new egg, new sperm and you've been through so much getting those ducks lined up.

bootles · 03/05/2015 08:01

sebs hugs xx

sasha It may be that you have an early af. My earliest post mc was a 22 day cycle - usually a pretty regular 28-30

freckle I would try. We already there are loads of unknowns with conception, I wouldn't assume it automatically means a bad egg.

glenpip welcome. I am sorry to hear of your losses and hope you find us helpful. I haven't heard about the prolactin issue - intensive google coming up later...

march and cheesy grr here too to confusing O. I need to start temping but there's never been any reason to before. Always had clear signs and pos opk to tie in with O day 14-16. This month I have had pains coming and going, and a gradually darker opk but not yet pos and I'm day 16. Worried I had annovulatory last month, as no pain and spotting all month, and now thinking body is struggling to O this month. Goddammit.

Brummiegirl15 · 03/05/2015 09:37

Morning all.

Cloud how are you this morning? Hope the spotting has held off

Frecklefire · 03/05/2015 09:48

Thanks for all the advice ladies! Who knows, i think maybe the two surges thing holds some truth. I hate this guessing game, our own bodies are puzzle-boxes to us.

Diddly**- that is the most bizarre ive read on this thread but i think maybe it will be a message to the gods! What a fantastic experience too! Where do you live?? (If it's a Scottish island i pitty the local policeman!)

Hi there glenpip** sorry you've had to find us, but this thread really is a life-line. Lets hope it's sticky beans (and sticky linings) for everyone this month. Btw, i have definitely heard of the prolactin issue. I think it's in L Reagan's book (seems to be compulsory reading for rmc).

Brummie, i know that fear, but i feel you will get there my love, stay strong - you've got us to be your strength xxx

Went to york yesterday to watch the tour de yorkshire yesterday and today its coming through our own village, whole place is in cycling feaver again (tdfrance came through twice last year, it was like someone had told my dh that santa clause was real after all!)

CheesyMash · 03/05/2015 09:57

Aaarrrrhhh, still another sodding flashing smiley!! Am I right to be testing with fmu for the cb dual (purple) one. Saying that tho I've been doing ic's in the afternoon/evenings with no luck either. Did an ic before bed last night and there wasn't even a wisp of a 2nd line, but probably didn't help my wee was a bit diluted.
It's typical, I've always been lucky and regular in the past and as soon as I need to know the date of ov to start progesterone, it decides to play up. Grrrr!

Sorry, that's my rant over!

Hope you're ok cloud.

We were going to see the tour de yorks too today freckle but it's pissing it down so might give it a miss.

bootles · 03/05/2015 09:58

cloud how are things this morning?
