Anyone heard if Estradot HRT patches are available yet? Heard they’d possibly be available towards the end of February 2025 😊

What about Lenzetto spray? I think it's the same ingredient. Has anyone been offered this instead?

sunshinechaser · 14/06/2025 17:50

@unsync all transdermal oestrogens are the same ingredient but for me anyway I like the convenience of patches as I only need to put them on twice a week. I used Oestrogel before and liked it although it was a faff rubbing it into my things twice daily (I was on 4 pumps so split it). However when the packaging changed to the cylindrical pump I felt awful on it so switched to patches. I’d rather not try another gel/spray but might be forced to!

SnoozingFox · 14/06/2025 17:58

Every day I trawl the online pharmacies looking for supplies. Still haven't found any.

I like the Lenzetto spray, one spray a day before bed, it's dry in two minutes and that's it. It works well for me.

I’ve for a friend in Spain on the hunt for me now

SnoozingFox · 16/06/2025 15:01

Let me know how she gets on @rivalsbinge as we’re off to Spain on Saturday.

I haven’t heard from my friend in Spain, mind I did only ask yesterday! But today i paid for a consultation and my menopause lady said pharamcige has some 75s.

So I’m keeping everything crossed she can get 6 months + This is costing me hundreds of pounds, it’s so bloody expensive I have boxes of stuff that I can’t use.

SnoozingFox · 17/06/2025 17:46

I've just sent off about 10 emails to pharmacies near where we will be staying next week to ask for their help/advice.

Getting desperate.

SnoozingFox · 17/06/2025 18:18

Email received saying there are supply issues in Spain too. Looks like i'll be spending my holiday patch-hunting.

rivalsbinge · 17/06/2025 19:31

OK so I have some- Pharmacierge, have 100 patches I’ve just had to pay my menopause lady for a consultation to the tune of £170 and she had put in a prescription for me.

SnoozingFox · 22/06/2025 20:46

I am in Spain and going to a pharmacy tomorrow. Will report back.

Hopealong · 23/06/2025 08:36

The last time I managed to get Estradot was October last year. I have been eeking out the Estradot patches and also using Evorel.

What I find interesting is how much better I feel from an Estradot patch to any of the others. For me HRT was about addressing my mood rather than physical symptoms. On other patches I have a moderate improvement, with Estradot I feel fantastic. If the ingredients are the same is it just because they adhere better and therefore you absorb more does anyone know?

I live in Portugal and haven't been able to get any here either so interested to know whether anyone has any luck in Spain....revs up the car for a bit of a drive!

SnoozingFox · 23/06/2025 09:12

Just back from the pharmacy, the lovely assistant pulled that sort of face builders pull when estimating costs when I showed her the box and said that Estradot was difficult. But that she’d check, looked on her computer and said that the strength I use - 75 - appeared to be available and she would order me three boxes but to cross my fingers. Come back this evening to see if they’ve been delivered.

didn’t ask for a prescription, I just showed the box with the British pharmacy sticker on it. So fingers crossed.

SnoozingFox · 23/06/2025 18:32

I HAVE THREE BOXES OF PATCHES. fecking ecstatic.

Estradot patches
Hopealong · 23/06/2025 20:41

Yay, well done. Little trip to Spain in planning.

SnoozingFox · 23/06/2025 22:50

€19.78 per pack. Pharmacist did say that 37.5 or 75 easier to get than 25,50,100. We are in Andalucia, don’t know whether rules are different in other regions but I was not asked for ID of prescription or anything,

Hopealong · 24/06/2025 07:57

Thank you for that info. Normally I'm on 50's but would accept 37.5 or 75's.
Portugal can be a bit random with whether they ask for a prescription or not but it isn't difficult to find a pharmacy that are happy to hand it over. They just can't seem to get their hands on Estradot.

Mez97 · 26/06/2025 14:01

I've had to changed from Estradot 75 to Everol 75 to due to shortages - and have a lot of symptoms coming back to me, anxiety (worse one), hot flushes, fatigue, sleep disturbed, feeling flat and lack of emotions - so pissed off as I was on a good even keel with Estradot 75. Spoke to my Nurse Practioner and we have agreed to increase to Everol 100 for a month to see how that goes. Estradot patches were small, discreet, and good adhesion, unlike Everol.

ticktock19 · 26/06/2025 14:55

Oooh @Mez97I’ve just done exactly as you have and moved up to Evorel 100
as the 75 just weren’t giving me the same feeling as Estradot 75. I ‘asked’ ChatGPT about it as I thought I was making it up and it said absorption could be different with the adhesives and also because Evorel is so much bigger then they could crumple more and so the skin would miss areas to absorb from. Started 100 patches 2 weeks ago so will see how I get on. I have increased my Utrogeston to 300 too for 12 days a month

This is exactly my experience and I have struggled to get anyone at my GP practice to listen to me. I went on to Estraderm in February and slowly my feelings of being anxious (always the worst symptom), numb and lethargic have returned. Everything is a huge effort. This is so cruel, Estradot totally changed my life.

I should push for the Estraderm dose to be increased but I worry they will just refuse.

sunshinechaser · 04/07/2025 12:02

Just picked up 3 months’ supply of Estradot 100 at my local pharmacy (Boots in Scotland). So it looks like a small supply is trickling through. I left the shop before I could ask about ongoing supply but I think they will start supplying again soon fingers crossed.

ticktock19 · 04/07/2025 15:17

Boots online doctor have Estradot 75 in, not sure how long for but they’re there right now

FunnyCradock · 20/07/2025 12:37

Is anyone getting Estradot patches via nhs prescriptions/normal pharmacies?

Funny how I’ve been able to get 6 months worth of Estradot 75 via a private pharmacy but not via my usual one 🤨
Evorel didn’t work for me either. I had more success with FemSeven 75, but Estradot still works best for me.

sunshinechaser · 20/07/2025 14:05

@FunnyCradockI got some 100 mcg patches from my local Boots on the NHS. I think there’s a very small supply of the higher strength patches available.
