Anyone heard if Estradot HRT patches are available yet? Heard they’d possibly be available towards the end of February 2025 😊

Picked up my prescription yesterday expecting the awful evorel, but hooray estradot! 3 boxes. Never thought I would see them again!

Thanks @sunshinechaser & @honeyandbutterontoast
This gives hope that (maybe) the end of this is in sight 🤞🏼

Even better news for me because that’s what I use too 🙌🏼
Ive just emailed my GP to ask them to change my prescription back to Estradot (pharmacy is weird and won’t dispense under SSP protocol - meaning lots of to-ing & fro-ing if things are out of stock 🙄)

WhereAreWeNow · 25/07/2025 20:06

I just tried my pharmacy and got the usual 'national shortage... no stock expected anytime soon' 😫

I might try a few more pharmacies next week.

Those of you lucky enough to get some, was it from a chain like Boots or an independent pharmacy?

Delatron · 26/07/2025 13:13

My friend got some from
Boots on Monday morning!

FunnyCradock · 27/07/2025 10:46

My local pharmacy said they’d had a few boxes of 75 & 100 patches but they’ve all gone and they don’t know when they’ll get more.

I got mine from a private pharmacy for £65 plus £6 shipping for 3 months supply.
Interesting that you can get them if you’re willing/able to pay privately but not on the nhs 🤨

WhereAreWeNow · 27/07/2025 11:20

How do independent pharmacies work? Do I send them my NHS prescription? Will it be on my NHS record? Will my GP stop prescribing if they know I've also used a private pharmacy?

FunnyCradock · 27/07/2025 23:34

I got mine via the pharmacy that the Newson clinic uses so it was authorised by them.
You wouldn’t use your nhs prescription. You’d need to have a private prescription from a Dr or pharmacist. They might want to access your nhs records to confirm which dose you’re on.
I don’t think your gp would stop prescribing if they knew you were getting Estradot privately (due to the nhs supply issues). That would be rather unethical imo. But you might want to seek clarity on that, just in case.
