Found this thread after putting a post on here. I started Evorel Conti patches last April aged 55. At first everything was fine but by September was having bleeding for a few days each month. Still bleeding this January so saw Gynanacologist who examined me plus ultra Sound and thought all was fine. However we thought the bleeding could be down to me changing the patches on the wrong day, so he asked me to keep a diary for a couple of months. Literally a week after that appointment I started bleeding again. A month later I woke with a terrible period pain and started bleeding ( well it's brown and not too much really) - I also started to have night flushes again and feeling very anxious. Back to gynacologist who has told be to stop the patches and is booking me in for a hysterically and bioscopy, which I'm really stressed about as I'm worried he might find something bad. He also wants to fit a Mirena coil as he said this would be better. Feeling quite down about the whole thing. I went on HRT to feel better and now feel worse and worried

I have been on Everol Conti for several years and find it brilliant I have to say. I'm 55 and post menopausal for 6 yrs but I too had light bleeding initially but I decided to cut the patch in half and the bleeding stopped Hmm

KosmicArab · 15/05/2021 07:25

I went into the Everol Conti patches last year (I'm 56). First couple of months I felt great, but from then on, breakthrough bleeding got worse and worse along with period pains. I also noticed my hair was getting even finer that it usually was. 10 months later I had to have a hysteroscopy and biopsy to check nothing serious was going on. All this made my health anxieties even worse! Thankfully I've just got the results back and they are normal. I stopped HRT a month before the procedure and the bleeding stopped. I'm not sure I want to try to find the right HRT to go back on as the patches obviously weren't right for me. I'm now taking a couple of the supplements recommended by Newson Health, but now worry that I should because they say HRT helps protect against dementia , heart and none problems. It's all a minefield!

I’m 53 and went onto Evorel Sequi last summer after night sweats, couldn’t sleep, vaginal dryness but what tipped it was feeling anxious and unhappy. I felt I was loosing myself. I have had a really good experience - with most of my symptoms going. Had some very slight morning nausea esp in the early days, and every month or so get some spotting. Feeling incredibly fortunate after reading about other’s experiences. May have put on some weight around my lower tummy - but it has been lockdown and frankly it’s a small price to pay to feel myself.

I'm tempted to try this! I have been on the Conti patches for more than 6 months and the breakthrough bleeding is getting worse. I've had a hysteroscopy and all is well. But the bleeding is doing my head in a bit. Trouble is on the plus side the patches have also resolved problems like vagina dryness so that sex is good again What to do?! It's so difficult isn't it?

Hi ,

So delighted to find this forum & reading everyone’s experience on HRT . Like so many I was very reluctant to start HRT .
I’m 52 & started on HRT almost 3 months ago after trying all herbal alternatives / exercise etc . My main problem was horrendous PMT ( hasn’t been helped with Covid & having 3 adults kids plus hubby working / studying from home for the last year !!! ) , rage , mood swings plus the usual sore boobs / fluid retention / night sweats / brain fog !!! As Im still having irregular periods my GP put me on Estradot patches ( 50mg) & Utrogestran tablets 200mg for 14 days . I had no period for about 4 months & then had a normal bleed last month .
After about a week the night sweats stopped completely & I did feel a little calmer but wasn’t feeling energetic & back to my old self which I was expecting !
Anyone this month I feel like I’m back to square one , PMT has returned like before 14 days before I’m due my period , feeling anxious ,boobs are swollen & lumpy , back waking with my body overheating / fluid retention in legs & ankles ( legs feeling tight ) Has anyone else experienced this ? Like everyone else I feel like I’ve put on weight despite walking / running 8k 4/5 times a wk & I don’t drink a lot . I’m so disappointed but I suppose it will take time for hormones to settle . I’m seeing my doc on Monday to see what she thinks ?

Hi everyone. Really interested in this post as prescribed Evorel Conti patches 4 days ago. I'm 56 and post menopausal, womb intact and suffer with high blood pressure. So far I've noticed a constant fuzzy headache and sleeping incredibly well. A bit tired during the day also. Fingers crossed this is just temporary.

justmeayit48 · 17/09/2021 19:23

why can't you wear evorel HRT patches on you're arm or near you're breast area

superblondie28 · 21/09/2021 17:34

Hi,

I've been prescribed these patches today by a young lady doctor who was very nice, but I have doubts if these patches are right for me? I haven't had a period since late June 2021 which coincided with 2nd covid jab. My blood test had FSH of 29 recently. However, I've gone 16 weeks between periods about 3 yrs ago. Who's to say I won't get another period? I am 45 yrs old. Aren't these patches for ladies who haven't had a period for 12 months plus ie gone through menopause.

Thanks

Bellabuzz · 06/10/2021 20:22

Just been prescribed evorel sequi patches, should I apply at night or in the morning? Thanks

Elena333 · 08/10/2021 11:26

Hi .. wonder if anyone has a problem with libido. I’m on evoral conti and after reading all these posts , I think it may not be for me . I’m peri menopausal and although my hot flushes have gone I feel rubbish . And have lost my libido completely .. don’t know which way to turn . 🥲

Kimlolly · 12/11/2021 14:12

Hi I have been using evoril conti patches now for 2 weeks after changing from hrt gel and utrogesten tablets as great to start with but 8 weeks later had bleeding so my dr took me off that at 16 weeks and gave me patches was fine first week but second week waking with headache and feeling groggy till at least lunchtime also feeling bit low again sleeping ok waking once feeling bit hot but better than before going on hrt so can cope with that wondering how long it takes to kick in as gel was instant felt amazing Shame I continued to bleed also wondering if I get any bleeding others have said they cut patches in half is that ok to try ?

Lorry50 · 25/11/2021 18:19

Hi, I asked for Evorel Conti having been on Sequi for quite a while. They suited me fine banishing sweats, etc but had heavy painful bleeds each month. Been on Conti 5 weeks now and I am bleeding almost continuously not painful but enough to get me down. I have been using half a patch as I read about someones Dr recommending it. Doesn’t work! Trying to get in touch with Dr this week to go onto something else. I’ve had gel and tablets before that was great....apart from the bleeding. I can’t put up with it any more it affects my plans😉 also I am keen gym goer. I would like to hear of similar experience, it was great to be able to read thread so far.

ginslinger · 25/11/2021 21:57

I'm 65 and started evorel conti today - I have had no HRT treatment before and wonder if this will do anything. I have no libido and hoped that hrt would help but reading some of the posts makes me wonder if it will. The other thing I hope it will help is the terrible rages (I'm such a joy)

Cody1111 · 07/12/2021 02:12

Hi im on evroil conti for the last 5 weeks it has helped a bit with hot flushes but t i suffer eith vagina dryness very painful intercourse did these patches help anyone else with painful intercourse

Funnynot · 13/01/2022 23:42

Hi I was in exactly same position , gel and utrogesten first off were great then constant breakthrough bleeds . Two weeks on then week or two off then on , was really fed up so have now started everol conti . Have you found the bleeding has settled now ?

Kimlolly · 23/01/2022 15:10

Well 10 weeks on evorel conti patches and woke this morning to bleeding I was hoping it wouldn’t happen again like on the gel worried it will continue now and my dr will take me off them has anyone else had this happen and what will I be given next really need to be on hrt

Funnynot · 23/01/2022 16:04

Hi I see lots of people in this thread say they have cut the patches in half and the bleeding has stopped . What I don’t get is if you do this don’t your symptoms start to return as you are halving the oestrogen to ??

lkeep47282 · 15/03/2022 10:05

HI all,
I have been taking HRT for 4 months, I now have mildly swollen feet and pain in both thighs, I am not sure if this is related to the HRT? Has anyone had a similar experience? Thank you.

jujack · 24/03/2022 08:13

Hello.. I’ve just been reading all your comments on Evorel conti basically looking for any advice on the effects of using them.

I was appalled to read how some of you are suffering!😳

My gynaecologist put me on the patches 6 weeks ago to help with my non existent libido, vaginal dryness and sleeplessness.

Thus far I have much improved sleep and some improvement in the dryness, but alas… as yet no improvement to libido?

Other than that I have no major issues to report.

Has anyone out there had improvement to their libido?
If so I would love to hear from you!🥰
