We ought to really try and decide on a venue and get something booked. The place last year was OK, but it was a shame we weren't all on one table, and they closed quite early didn't they?

I don't really mind WHERE it is, (though may need a lift from a railway station) as anywhere's a long way for me!

roisin · 31/08/2005 21:53

Who's going to be bossy and make us get organised?

Hulababy · 31/08/2005 21:54

Any volunteers?

I'd love to but as moving very soon, probably best not as I'd probably lose everything

lilibet · 31/08/2005 21:58

Are we still including dh's? If we are my offer of sharing a room with Roisin may be off!

Ah, just read down - no dh's!
That's fine.
Roisin, I would be willing to drive, if we find a travel lodge with three bedded rooms, Janh could share too

I'll bring the top trumps dh bought me the Harry Potter set last week. Why is George Weasley better at magic than Snape?

Hulababy · 31/08/2005 22:01

I won't have DH with me - babysitter

LOL @ Lilibet and Top Trumps. I can't remember the exact details (and I'm not sad enough to check) but I think Hermione should have a higher score than she does for wisdom, and Harry should have a higher score for magic! LOL!

OK back to topic. YG's suggestion of Toby Cavery as last year, but eat at 7 pm. Sounds good to me. (What time will they chuck us out?)All votes in favour or against?

Hulababy · 31/08/2005 22:22

The Toby cavery is good for me - again not TOO far away. Good idea of eating earlier too - we wouldn't get kicked out if we eat early will we?

roisin · 31/08/2005 22:25

Not if we eat slowly
and linger over coffees

OK I'm off to bed ... back to work in the morning

Can you tell me the name/location of the hotel next door, as I haven't found it on google.

If this suggestion meets with general approval I guess we need a new thread with details and signup?

dottee · 01/09/2005 08:49

Roisin - it's Innkeepers Lodge and breakfast is included.

dottee · 01/09/2005 08:50

roisin · 01/09/2005 18:36

I've started a new thread for definite sign up numbers, so that we can get something booked.
(As YG has kindly volunteered to organise it again!)
