bump - any suggestions/preferences?

(DP and I often go to the Beijing City at Stocksbridge and that's very nice - don't know whether it's everyone's cup of tea and not sure about public transport although it's not far from M1)

Hulababy · 18/08/2005 21:00

I don't like Indian food very much - and can't do spicy very well. Also, I don' eat meat - so must be fish and/or vggie options.

roisin · 18/08/2005 21:47

I'm interested in coming over to meet you all again this year. I eat and drink anything (within reason!). I'll keep checking in on this thread to see what/where you decide.

jamiesam · 18/08/2005 21:54

Eek - mumsnet just went offline as I found this!
Toby carvery was great last year and I'd love to come to another yorkshire do.
I'm in Sheffield, have car and willing to drive but would rather not stay over.
Like Yorkiegirl's suggestion of big hotel if that would include chance of a boogie (and somewhere quiet to talk - I'm getting on a bit you know )

Wouldn't dh's find it a bit dull?

Hulababy · 18/08/2005 22:27

trace2 · 19/08/2005 10:42

Are you thinking of the Gala nights is has under 'December'? Would need to ring about details for this - there are none on the website.

Hulababy · 19/08/2005 21:49

Not been to Brooklands since it was refurbished; was good before though.

dottee · 19/08/2005 22:00

Christmas events here .

gingerbear · 19/08/2005 22:03

The China Rose in Bawtry does really great Chinese Christmas Banquets (If anyone is not keen on traditional turkey)

dottee · 19/08/2005 22:04

Brooklands is £25.95 for Xmas dinner and dance. Too expensive?

gingerbear · 19/08/2005 22:05

Brooklands looks nice.

jamiesam · 19/08/2005 22:18

I'm easy vis venue. £26 a lot but will shell out if that's what you all decide!
