You need to save it for when we've all finished dessert then have your waters go in a dramtic tidal wave. Hopefully they'll wave the bill in the panic and we can have a live labour thread and group trip to the hospital

Sort of, I think I'll get the nursery one but it's not until Sept 7th.

Hello all! I think I'm still coming for the meal on Saturday - I thought that DS1 would be at my parents' that night, but they are selfishly conducting their own social life so I'll have to make sure DH will be ok on his own with them both - I expect he will be as although he's still on one crutch he's pretty mobile again now. And he can always ring me to come back if there's a 'won't take the bottle' crisis.

While I'm on, can I ask you a wee favour? My friend Laura has been chosen as a possible featured blogger on the Rock My Wedding blog - scroll down and you will see her under 10th August. Juney, re: migraines, DH and his family get them sometimes and lying in a darkened room seems to be the best cure. That and strong painkillers. I have a mate who's on beta blockers to prevent hers, but you can't drink or TTC on them so that's a pretty full-on option. Can you work out what's triggering them? For DH it's bright/flickering lights, I knew someone who got them with dark chocolate.

No idea what's causing them :/ I don't know if it's going swimming with my contacts in as I seem to get the migraine the day after I've been to aquafit (have been tonight so will see how I feel tomorrow!)

But I don't drink and am not currently TTC! So beta blockers may help, but have booked appt with GP on Friday!

Is anyone up for a walk down at the Botanical Gardens tomorrow? And a spot of lunch or picnic on the grass?

Just come! You said she is better in the evenings now. Sure D can ring you if she decides not to settle for him. I went out once and got home to find dd and dh in bed together, she was wide awake but happy enough :)

She is better but not wonderful, and I'd feel bad at sending her to bed without her feed when she's this little. And no doubt she'd make up for it later on in the night!!

I am a wuss I know, will be easier when she's over 12 months I think. Leaving her at bedtime just seems wrong :(

No you are not a wuss, completely understand. In fact the first time I laft dd at bedtime was a month or so ago when I had an appointment to give blood and I fed her before I left! I forget that mine tend to be in bed earlier than yours so I have been able to do bedtime before going out.

Is it time for cocktails yet?
