Sounds familiar Still waiting for it to pass

EasilyConfusedIndith · 27/07/2010 11:36

Of course yours will absolutely pass and she will be sleeping like an angel very soon.

foxytocin · 27/07/2010 11:42

I can do either the 14th and/or 21st (I think) we are off to Devon on Friday and be back by the 9th.

I take it this is for a daytime meetup?

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2010 11:56

i am tired

EasilyConfusedIndith · 27/07/2010 12:00

This is for night out foxy.

Me too SPB, dd is asleep though . Am gobbling my cheese on toast then I'm attempting to do all the washing up and get dinner made before neighbours she wakes up.

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2010 12:04

glad she has settled - i cannot put dd down, trying for a third time then giving up

EasilyConfusedIndith · 27/07/2010 12:09

Hope it works!

foxytocin · 27/07/2010 12:54

ah ok. I am off buying make up on Newcastle on Thursday. The last time I went out I re-discovered that I had binned all make up and had to go out feeling less than dressed up.

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2010 12:57

nice to see you foxy, how is everything?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 27/07/2010 13:19

I do that. I only ever wear make up when I go out which pretty much means I only wear make up when we have a MN night out so I find myself staring at gloopy mascara and caked foundation.

Hope you are enjoying your school hold foxy

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2010 13:20

yes, I'm the same, at DD's christening the best I could find was one of those coloured lip balms

foxytocin · 27/07/2010 14:01

the school hols have been good so far but still finding myself thinking about work.

I had both dds home yesterday but took dd2 to nursery today supposedly to get some gardening done.

We have been down to the gardening centre to get some repotting compost and spent ages there because dd 'wanted something'. It would not be worth the stress to listen to her whinge all the way home if we didn't buy something. It took ten minutes to choose the right lolly. This was after telling her that we didn't need toys for an aquarium.

I was very impressed that the garden centre now sells chickens but she wasn't impressed with the smell of them.

so out for some potting now.

EasilyConfusedIndith · 27/07/2010 15:59

Oooh chickens. Do you think dh would let me?

Need to go to a garden centre. Where is good around here? I have dug everything out of my garden and decided what I want to do with it, just need to actually do it!

foxytocin · 27/07/2010 16:17

dh doesn't want chickens. so no chickens. I think he suspects he'd have to do some looking after and he doesn't fancy that idea.

Since I can't have chickens I want alpacas and I will keep asking for alpacas.

StealthPolarBear · 27/07/2010 16:51

There's one on the road to lanchester indith - I went once for some plant pots and they pointed out they weren't open, sure they are now though!

Lol at alpacas taking less looking after than chickens

Intergalactic · 28/07/2010 14:23

Man, I am crap at keeping up with this thread!

Night out, I'm not sure - I am free for either but DS will be four months by then so getting too big to come out. He does tend to sleep between around 7.30 and 10.00 without stiring, and is generally smiley and not upset when he does wake, so I could come out then make a sharp exit if DH was to call and say he was screaming or whatever (DS, not DH!). Don't put me down as a definite though as if his sleeping habits change then I may have to rethink.

My Grandma is taking him for a walk as we speak - eek! She has assured me she will bring him back if he's unhappy. Not really liking it though!

Indith, DS1 has been asking after your two loads. We went to the Botanics again yesterday (me thinking he'd be happy as he was so keen to run off last time and he could just wander wherever) but when he realised they weren't coming he just wanted to hold my hand and go home!

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/07/2010 14:55

Are you sure he wasn't just afraid that they were going to leap out and roar/bash him/snatch things?

anyone fancy mini moos on saturday? indith?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 28/07/2010 15:27

I won't have the car

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2010 15:28

if you fancy it we'll all squeeze into DH's like we used to - if you can cope with getting squished

PDog · 28/07/2010 20:50

Have you seen there is a new toy shop at the Arnison Centre? Not sure when it opens officially but all the signs are up. Much handier than trekking to Toys R Us at the Metro like I had to last week for my niece's bday pressie.

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2010 20:51

ooh no where abouts?

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2010 08:50

has everyone vanished from this thread?

EasilyConfusedIndith · 29/07/2010 09:00

I'm still here

SPB can I leave a decision about mini moos until the Sat morning? With dd and I being on our own am goingto try to not feed her while she can't disturb her brother. GOing out may well depend on how much sleep I've had!

PDog · 29/07/2010 09:05

I'm back, after a night of hourly awakenings .

Tis near the Asda home, looks quite big. Waiting for it to open so I can spend even more time at the Arnison Centre . Will have to make the most of it before DD is old enough to appreciate where she is.
